Will goals look extremely similar in 3D

As the match engine for 2D and 3D are the same, the variety of goals will be as broad as ever. So yes, I doubt you will see alot of similar goals all the time. FM is a simulator based on the match engine, this is not Fifa

you mean they looked top down and were scored by coloured spots, yeah i guess they were alike, IMO they didn't

Most goals on MOTD look exactly the same lol.

There are so many places to shoot from on a pitch, only so many ways to get there, and strikers are statistically more likely to move into certain positions and score in certain positions than others.

one of those position shappens to be the penalty spot, but there are many ways to score em. or miss them for that matter. ask ronaldo

It depends how they made the 3d graphics engine, from the sounds of it they've just added physics to the existing match engine which is very promising.

See, the repetitive games (especially ones like this that you can't interact with) tend to use a selection of pre-captured goal options so every similar goal is exactly the same. if they use physics on the other hand the goal will change with everything - position, strike, ability etc etc... but that said it's in its early stages so I guess we shouldn't expect too much

I doubt that's the case, I certainly haven't read or heard it from a credible source. SI have always done a good job of keeping minimum specs down so I'd imagine they've done the same here... regardless, if it doesn't there's always the blobs

I think SI have done a great job by keeping variety in how goals are scored and I feel it will be the same for 3D although the animation may get repetitive, the actual goal won't

IMO FM has a good variety of goals. Although i think in general very similar looking goals keep getting picked for goal of the month etc. I played CM08 for a month a little while ago and their goals are very, very repetitive. Was quite annoying really, especially own goals by keepers from corner kicks which was one of those preset goal routines that happened over and over. Keeper would try to catch ball directly at the near post but would somehow knock it into his own goal.

To be honest, most of the goals you see in real life football tend to be very similar... Once in a while we get these "whoa!" goals, but most goals are pretty similar... I think the game has got a good variety of different goals.
