Reserve Team

Guys does someone tell me how to get my reserve team manager to stop playing youth team players in reserve matches? This is annoying me!

I don't think you can unless you manage the reserve team yourself. Try putting more players in the reserves and see if that helps.

More first teamers in reserves. Make sure there are 16 fit reserves, with at least one for each position (ie if you have 7 strikers and no defenders the chances are he'll use a youth team defender).

You can't tell him what players to play. If you are so annoyed by it, manage the team yourself.

If I find that I have a youth player who is a bit too good for the youth team, I promote him to the Reserves, he gets more experience that way.

I like managing main, reserves and youth, gives you a more hands on approach and a better idea of who deserves to play for the main team, and who is a star for the future

This is one thing that I want to see in the game. I want to say to my Assistant make sure you play player x. Sometimes there is a player I dont want in my first team but I want him to play but he doesnt get picked for the reserve team!

can you do it by picking an X1 and ticking the box next to 'pick this team whenever possible'. haven't got fm open now so can't give a definitative answer.
