SeanKB Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 When my laptop is plugged in the match engine is fine and runs smoothly. However when it isnt plugged in, the match engine is a little bit stuttery, not massively, but you can notice the difference. It hasnt done this much before, and I havent really changed anything. milnerpoint Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 Keep your laptop plugged in, your laptop will reduce its power usage when not plugged in and as such will allocate less power to your graphics card which will make the game stutter a bit. What it does is shut down any programmes that are using up Processor power and it also gives extra power to your graphics card. This power etc can then be used to improve the running of Fm 12, it will also set up a gamming power plan for your battery. I had never used one before until i had some issues with the 3D graphics on FM11 as soon as i used it the match engine started running alot smoothly.
