Foul again!

On my game, no matter what team I am, I can never score from corners. I do hit the net a lot, but every time the ref says I pushed the other teams player. Is it right to push someone over in every corner you take?

When you have a spare 32 hours, I suggest downloading 8.0.2.

Have you set the tactics differently or are you using the default?

If using the default, don't. Play around with them a bit.

On 8.0.2 setting your best header of the ball to challenge GK and setting the taker to put the ball in the 6-yard box virtually guarantees goals.

I had a similar set up with 8.0.1 and scored quite a few. Can't remember the exact instructions, but the first thing you MUST do is take anyone and everyone OFF the near post. No attacking it, no near-post flick on. Bit of a bug but easily dealt with.

Suggest you set a winger/midfielder with half-decent long-shots (14+) on the edge of the area. Got me a few I seem to recall.

Patch should not take long to download, are you on dial-up or something?

Are you using the torrent download, they can look like they are going to take forever to download. Here's a link to a direct download which shouldn't take too long (provided you aren't on dial up).

try looking on the disks that come with computer magazines or e-mail SI games and see if they will send a disc to you in the post. They did this for me before i had broadband.

Well I downloaded off the computer as the laptop I use does not have the internet. Only it's this vista crap, so nothing works with it!
