harvs360
Is it possible for a laptop to run all these leagues without being a snails pace?, i want to do a journeyman career taking in as many places as i can when/if the p45 is handed out. if so what kind of laptop would be required? All Leagues from... England France Germany Spain Italy Russia Holland USA Scotland Belgium (maybe background only) Portugal Australia Brazil Argentina Large DB and im not too fussed about 3d or not. Many Thanks.

jakobx
The fastest quad core laptop you can find should run this. It wont be fast though. It wouldnt be fast even on the fastest desktop computer.

Smurf
I'm running only a league or two less on 4gb ram and a 2.4ghz dual core processor. I recommend for this if you're getting a new laptop at least the i5 processor, if you can afford the i7 then all the better. Then at least 6 gb RAM (Windows 64bit) or 4gb RAM (Windows 32 bit) If it has a dedicated graphics card then all the better If it has an integrated alone graphics card then don't worry about it (you said you weren't too worried about 3D anyway) On that note the i5 or i7 processor can handle 3D graphics fine. So go nuts.
wackettdagenham
I've tried running all leagues (+ RTC's level 11 english league mod) on my monster of a laptop and it is a bit too much on the slow side, as the game has to simulate so many games when running with a large number of leagues. It is trying to juggle the number of leagues to run with how slow you are willing the game to run. Try a laptop with a quad core or i7 processor with about 3-4GB RAM, but as it has already been said - it depends on your budget. You can treat yourself (but only if you can afford it). harvs360
Cool, i've got a HP Pavilion p6227uk Desktop PC but i dont really find it easy playing FM on it as i like to sit in bed and just play til i need to sleep so a laptop is ideal for me to while away the hours. Any Reccommendations for good laptops in the £750ish range that would run ^that lot^?

harvs360
hmmm very interesting - i often wonder why its cheaper to build your own via a website like that than just go to HP/Dell/PC world and buy one? Would you advise the I-5 over the I-7 or is the difference between them when running the above neglegable?

No the i7 is a better cpu but more expensive obviously but the i5 will do want you want very well, Its cheaper because they buy the parts in mass bulk and the systems dont really have a name attached to they ie dell/acer etc if i was to buy say a dell with all the parts i have in mine it would of been around £1500-1600 were as i paid £1189

wally13
hmmmm some food for thought there!!! time to number crunch and budget set!......or sell the car if the MOT is bad news! Well that example i gave you took me about 30 seconds to build you could have a mess yourself and get price up or down etc

To me it would feel very slow. Im running probably around 20 leagues on a 3.2 ghz quad core and its slow, but thats the price i have to pay if i want a more realistic game world. Rebs
I'm looking at getting a new laptop as well - but my budget is £500 - I think I should be able to get a good i3 lappy for that - would that be good to run quite a few leagues as well (not as many in the op though)?
