All my subs seem to be Complaceny

I can give them a team talk of 'I expect performance' or 'go out and have fun' or just completely ignore the talk and they always seem to be complacent. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm completely patched up.

What's the score when they came on?

if youre bringing them on at half time and already winning they will be complacant

try leaving it til after half time and spacing the changes out a bit, 1 or 2 on at around 55 mins and another after.

this is if your just bringing them on to get them game time(kids etc) obv only make chagnes when you need them otherwise

I always say, I Expect a performance as I know they'll just sit about otherwise. Only time they ever did well when I was 1-3 up away at Birmingham. Then I got some new lads on and we ended up winning 1-7.

Sometimes it's a friendly and we are a few goals up. But I expect them to be motivated if I tell them to prove themselves to me. Sometimes we are drawing and, again, I would expect at least one of them to be motivated.

It's because there's a mis-match between their rating and morale. They're happy (becuase they're winning) but have a rating less than 7.0 (because they've only just come on) hence "complacent."
