New to football manager

Hay all as the title states I am new to Football manager also new to soccer as well. I am reading the manual to get an idea of the game can anyone provide a team that would be good for me to start with to get the hang of the game thanks in advance.

Man City. They have money, a good squad and should be able to do well. If you want a team where expectations aren't as high try Bolton or someone like that . Welcome to the forums as well mate .

try teams that are of high reputation and guarenteed success (real madrid, barcelona, man utd, chelsea, bayern munich, lyon) and several others. that will help u get a grasp of the game

Do you have a team that you quite like or a team local to yourself, then perhaps start with them.

I am new to football management games also and even though I'm from the USA but I like Middlesbrough. I didn't know much about them to be honest, but did alot of reading up on their squad and their club. Quite nice actually, but a challenge. They have young players and an average amount of money so I figured it would be a good start.
