Henry Gruby
How to stop big clubs from stealing your 16 year olds? It will just say that Man Utd or Man City have made a bid for your youngster etc. Is the only way to stop them to offer him a big contract in the hope that he will stay? I think it is. However that is not always going to work. The thing is it is quite realistic because it happens irl. However I think the big clubs are now paying a bit more respect to the lower league clubs now and not just getting Young Player X to leave. I usually let them leave as you can usually get a bit of money in compensation.
Trikstaa
You can try that, but its just natural. They want to go to bigger team with a bigger reputation!

rancer890
Offer can't miss prospects a contract immediately (like on the day that you get new regens). That way clubs won't try and sign them.
GioGio85
Sadly its just like real life, smaller teams have a tough job holding onto their top talent
