Funkball
I've been managing Notts. County from day one and just got them into the Premiership so my manager rep cant be too bad. I applied for the job of Algeria manager (bad timing i guess when trying to maintain top flight football for next season) but I can;t seem to get any staff at all to sign up to the Algeria backroom. Is there some trick to this? All the Algerian staff are rubbish so far and even they wont sign... What can I do here? Help, as ever, is much appreciated. --Funkball--

pyewackett
Sorry not managed international myslef aren't you able to approach even coaches that are staff in other AI teams :/ or the one's unemployed. Or does nobody wan't to sign?
Funkball
Yeah, approaching is not the problem. Even the lowest and least skilled of staff want nothing to do with Algeria at all. Seems I'll have to go it alone for the ACN Quals.
fuhrerul
try placing job adverts and filter by nationality to be from algeria or africa! get an ass man and managers for u21 u19 and maybe a psycho because staff at national team don't do nothing! bring anyone who comes no matter how crap they are! Brian Shanahan
Have you tried putting up ads in the job centre. I've managed Cote d'Ivoire in 10.2 and found that the level of coaches wanting to join you will be pretty low.
pyewackett
Well that's annoying, not sure on this one, is it best to have a more local member of staff as in if your managing the Algerian National Team, is it best to have a Algerian coach, Assistant manager etc, etc? Nah I don't think Stuart Pearce will help here at all. P.S. you beat me to the job centre rec.
fuhrerul
only algerians will join and maybe others from nearby countries!
Thedore
Is there much point in having staff for internationals? What do they actually do?
Montanaro
they mostly run the youth teams. They can also build relationships with your players, which makes them happier.
Funkball
D'oh. I'm a complete idiot. I never even thought of placing adverts... It's something I never do as I usually scouts staff myself at club level. Cheers for that. Will let you know how I get on with that.
Chalky1989
Nah I don't think Stuart Pearce will help here at all. P.S. you beat me to the job centre rec. Don't knock Psycho, he won the World Cup in 2022 on my save!
Gerry-Atric
I think in newer versions staff should have more input in internation level, maybe you could introduce Internation training schedules for when you have your meets, and get staff involved, would be good as we always see Fabio on the England training camp on sky sports news when a squad has been announced would be useful before a world cup ect to hold one and then get feed back from your ass man as to if anyone seems to be too unfit to be selected etc.

The manager will have the players (outside of a WC) for at most 3 days at a time. What should be allowed is a far greater scouting staff available to the manager (if the country's rep and finances are good enough) as that is probably wha tan international manager needs most.
