No homegrown/trained by players for champions league

I am at the squad selection screen for the champions league. I have 1 player (out of 4 needed) trained by Dortmund and 5 (out of 8) trained in Germany. Thats all I have, and the U19s dont count!

Is there anything I can do? Or is my game void?

Leave gaps in the squad, only assign numbers to those aged 21 or over on registration day, the rest can be left without numbers but wil still be eligible

Go on holiday for 1 day and the let the computer solve it. Danger is that the computer might not pick all the players you want but it is better option than restarting the game completely.

Avoid going on holiday so you can make sure you get who you want registered. Just leave spaces, as rinso said.

as long as you have at least 15 in the squad, then submit it!

You leave gaps for the number you can't make up. So if you need 2 more players, just leave 2 spaces and it will let you submit.

For every space you leave, it counts as +1 to HG at club/nation.

Interesting. I didn't know that. Save alot of hasle in future. I once dumped all my EPL res and U18. Got stuck on the nationality issue. Went on holiday to solve it but some good players were unreged.

PS. don't dump the res and U18, its not worth it.

leaving gaps in your squad is the best way. i find this better.

Ok, I totally get it now, with the spaces. Thanks to all who helped...

I suppose the left out spaces are intended for the grey players, so technically you're still fulfilling the requirements.
