Every year more players are induced in to your under 18's squad. I have played as Arsenal and MK Dons for some reason I have had better players through my academy on MK Dons than on my Arsenal save. Why is this? I have won the league 10 times and every competition on my Arsenal file, so surely you would need to be a higher quality player that somebody who joined the MK Dons academy???

Probably just conincidence. Or perhaps the players coming through at MK Dons were given more first team football and able to develop because there wasn't so much competition for first team places?

So what factors affect the level of player that your club gets through their youth academy?

Arsenal don't really develop youth from an early age, they prefer to buy 16/17 year olds from overseas.

So that is pre-set? I can not develop youth from an early age playing as Arsenal?

Upgrading your youth facilities can help to get better youth players. It won't automatically give you a better intake, but there will be a higher chance of better players. Higher level youth facilities can help your youths develop better as well.

What do you mean by better players? Better players based on your coach/ass man reports? Remember that you staff reports base their judgement of a player on the level you are playing at, so an "excellent" youth prospect for MK Dons, might only be League One standard, whereas a "decent" prospect at Arsenal, might be of a lower Premiership standard.

Also, depending on your staff attributes (JPA and JPP) they may be wrong in their assessment. If you MK Dons Ass Man has 1 for judging potential and says a player is an "excellent" prospect, they might not actually be an excellent prospect.

Anyway, it's not like the Dons are particularly poor at producing kids in real-life, right?

Even Leeds produced the likes of Delph.

My player from MK Dons has 17 heading, marking and 16 tackling. He is a CB and aged 18.

Another player for my MK Dons team is 18 and has 17 passing.

Mentals are about 12 in everything and physicals about 14. Still far better than my Arsenal players I get coming through.

I'm sure if you did a test, it would show that your arsenal team are consistenly producing higher PA players than MK Dons. Maybe put up some screenshots of the players in question?

And at Arsenal, the kids are younger than the club, unlike Franchise!!
