JohnTerry-look-alike
Basically, when i start up Football Manager 09, it goes through the credits etc.. it goes to a grey screen (when it should just go to the menu screen) i have tried uninstalling the game but it didnt work. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, PLEASE HELP! Thanks
hamilton162
Do a complete un-install and delete all of the FM09 files from the Program Files folder. Then try again. Alternatively, try deleting your cache files. Not sure if either will work, but give them both a go, starting with the cache files

JohnTerry-look-alike
ok, i have realised not to do that now. @ people with serious answers. i have tried deleting every file to do with FM09 and uninstalling, when i re-installed the game it wont open and just says error (im on a macbook btw)
CaptainPlanet
It was a serious answer, I wasn't taking the mick. Thought that might be why it wasn't working. No idea about Mac versions though, so not much further use beyond uninstalling and re-installing.

hamilton162
How To Delete Cache Files Go to start, click on username. Go to options, show hidden folders. App Data - Roaming - Sports Interactive - FM09 - Click on cache folder and press delete The files will be replaced as soon as the game re-launches and will delete old files that may be corrupted. Hope that Helps

hamilton162
Nope, the game has to be installed for the deleting of the cache files to take effect.
