Gallas4231
Hi guys, I need financial advice please. I have Sunderland promoted back to the championship first time of asking (easy enough I know). Board expect us to achieve mid table, although even with a few loan signings I feel we may still struggle. I have £26m to spend on transfers, with a bank balance of £24m. Do I break the bank to achieve the expectations of mid table or do I save the cash and hope my squad is good enough?
Paddy9596
You should easily be able to finish in mid table by spending 10m out of your 26m on four or five players, I’d just make sure the core of the team are at least championship quality
dap1987
Break the bank!! I'd rather get sacked knowing I spent it all trying to improve, rather than failing and getting sacked and then wondering if I'd just spent another few million would we have been ok This exact answer is probably why I struggle to save money
Carambau
go for ex-internationals on free transfers
Grifty
Try looking back at League One for the players that out performed that division but are in teams that didn’t get promoted.
