DølleDøkk Posted January 6, 2019 Share Posted January 6, 2019 Spielgemeinschaft Oberes Gericht Hello, and welcome to my career, where I'll (hopefully) take a team from the 9th (!) tier of Austrian football to the top. Or at least that is my goal. I know this will take a long time, and I hope I will have some readers with me along the way. My only reason for taking charge of SPG Oberes Gericht was because of their kits. I love me some nice kits! As per usual, there will be no transfers in this save. I have made a rule for myself though, if we can buy back players that we have sold, I will do it, as they still count a home-grown. We start our journey in the lower leagues of Austrian football, in the city of Pfunds to be exact, where Dølle Døkk has been appointed manager of Spielgemeinschaft Oberes Gericht. We're predicted to finish 10th in the league this season, so the media is not overly optimistic about our chances to reach the top of the table. I do not believe we can go straight up, but I feel like a mid table position will be achievable. The database can be found HERE. The Manager Only the basics really. Two nationalities chosen at random, and I ended up as a Bolivian/Bhutanese man! We start with a stadium owned by another team, but I hope we can get a stadium built for ourselfes in the next 30 years... We have Below Average training facilities, not bad at this level I think! I guess the league setup has changed in the last seasons, as this look really weird! You can't see it in this picture, but most of these teams are B teams for higher ranked teams in the leagues above us. Senior Squad The main problem at the moment is that we have just one CM, and I need two in my tactic. I guess the U18 players have to step up already now! Key player for us this year has to be Walter Fallmann, a cam that I hope we can keep a hold of. He does not really look like anything special, but I guess that's how it is in these lower leagues! U18 Squad A lot of 5* players, but thats also something I knew would happen. The best of the bunch at this time is another Fallmann, first name Lukas. He's also a cam, and he will feature for us this season I'm sure. When the youth intake day comes, I will be tagging the players with (YPxx), I've seen a lot people on this site do this, and It looks like a great way to keep track of players. The U18 players this season will have the(YP00x) tag, as they were already here when I started the save. English is not my first language, so there will be grammar mistakes, but I do my best. Please leave a comment if you like what you see, and be sure to give me suggestions on how I can make this a more interesting read! DølleDøkk Posted January 6, 2019 Author Share Posted January 6, 2019 Mid Season 2018/19 So far we've done a little better than I thought we would do, and we currently sit in the third position. In the last game before the winter break we beat Spielgemeinschaft SV Mötz/SV Silz 1b, a team that were unbeaten before that game! It also turns out we had a Cup competition before the start of the league. We won our first game there, but were knocked out by SK Jenbach, a team that plays three levels above us, so I'm not too disapointed. I think the first place is out of reach, but you never know. A lot of youth players have played for us so far, but the best player so far this season is Walter Fallmann. I really hope we can keep a hold of him, as he is wanted by a few clubs. Something I have noticed is that a lot of the U18 players have gone from 2-3* gray pot to 1.5* current ability. I guess when one stat gets a minor upgrade, it's enough for them to change their CA. Youth Intake 2019 This is the most important day for this save, and I really hoped we could get some really good players oo the first try. And that is just what happened, with a lot of players going straight in to the starting eleven. Especially Markus Diemer look like a really good player at this level. One thing to note is that a lot of these players have high determination, something I have noticed is not normal for a team at this level. I hope we can keep going like this, and hope it was not just luck this first time. *EDIT* Turns out I was a bit quick to say that they go straight in to the starting eleven, as the registration window has closed, and a player has to be registrated to play... damnit... Next year we are aiming for promotion, as the youth players we got this year will be ready for the first team. As I said at the start of the season, Walter Fallmann would be a key player, and he showed me why, and he ended up as our best player this year. DølleDøkk Posted January 7, 2019 Author Share Posted January 7, 2019 Pre Season 2019/2020 A pretty good pre season, considering we played mostly teams from the leagues above us. We even played a game against LASK Linz, a team in the top division in Austria! We jumped from 10th last year to the 4th place this year. I hope we can win the league, we were not that far behind last year, and this year we can use all the good players we got in the youth intake. We have three players in the Media Dream XI as well. Las year we had none. Our best players last year, Walter Fallmann, started as a 5* CA that season. This year he's down to only 2* CA, that shows how much better we should do this year I think. Key Players We have a very good left side in Ammerman (YP01d) and Stark (YP01c). And one of the best strikers in the league in Diemer (YP01a). But hes has not been that good in the pre season games to be honest. This is important, as the players that comes in to the team will be better. DølleDøkk Posted January 7, 2019 Author Share Posted January 7, 2019 Mid Season 2019/2020 We lost two games in the first half of the season, and one of those games was against the current leaders, SV Zams. I really hope they slip up. But we have to keep winning as well. We're scoring a lot of goals at least! PoTS so far Walter Fallmann has been immense, with 6 goals and 6 assists in 8 league games! I hope we can continue with this form in to the season! Youth Intake 2020 If I could pick 5 positions I wanted a player in, this is almost how I would have done it! We get an awesome GK, a CB, a CM and a CAM, almost every position where I need them the most. We even get a ST, but with Diemer in the team we don't need him at the moment. This year we did, and we're climbing one step on the ladder! Next year we will be playing in a league with 16 teams, so I guess we have to rotate at bit more than this season. We lost the last game before the winter break though, with two of the best players missing with long term injuries. One of them will be ready at the start of the spring part of the season, but i doubt our main striker Markus Diemer will be back. We're outscoring all the teams, and we're also pretty solid at the back. PoTS so far. Yet again it has to go Walter Fallmann, even though he's one of the players with the lowest CA I currently use. Youth Intake 2021 I know I should be happy with this, but in this youth intake we get players in all the positions we currently have the best cover for. At least we have a good GK when Freese (YP02a) leaves, and I guess that's not that far away. We have had offers come in for him for quite some time now. Same for Diemer (YP01a). USV Oetz was on our tail all the way to the end, even though we won the league with a 10 point gap in the end, they lost two of their last games. We scored a lot of goals this year and ended the season with a goal differense of 60+. I hope we can do that the next season as well! But the interest for Diemer (JR01a) is massive, and it's only a matter of time before we lose him. It looks like it will a battle against USV Oetz this year as well. We got knocked out of the cup in the fourth round, and that's further than we've ever been before. We had a longer break than usual because it's only 10 teams in the league. Youth Intake 2022 Again, I'm a bit dissapointed with this. When we beat SV Landeck 6-0 they were 1 point ahead of us. I thought we would play worse when Diemer (JR01a) left us, but we actually did better! DølleDøkk Posted January 14, 2019 Author Share Posted January 14, 2019 Pre Season 2022/2023 I have no idea why, but we are really struggling with AKA Vorarlberg. I think we have faced them four times in pre season, and has lost every single game. Rock bottom! That's the predicted position by the media, but I believe we will survive, maybe even finish mid table. One thing to notice, is that the team that won the league in the first year of this save (when we played in the 9th tier) is predicted to finish top by the media! Other than two big lossed we have played really well. The 0-5 game against FC Volders was really bad, and it was deserved as well. They had one player that scored all their goals, and that player had scored 6 goals total in the last four season... After two seasons out of the Tiroler Cup, we were back in this year, but it was a quick exit. PotS so far. He has 5 goals and 5 assists so far in the league. Either as a RM or a RB, as that is the positions we need new players the most. Not exactly what I ordered, but I'm still happy. We get a new CB, one that goes straight in to the team when I can register him for the league. And it looks like my HoYD likes GKs, as this is the third good one he gets us. We were amazing this season as well, and in the end we won the league! After a slow start after the winter break we won every single game! One thing to note is that our home attendace grew over the season, and in the last home game of the season we broke the record of the league with 260 people watching the game! We're predicted last this year as well, but we all know how that turned out last year. But I think this will be a harder season, and I'm aiming for a mid table finish. Key Players I hope Benjamin Stark will continue his amazing form from last season! Our new best CB, and actually rated as the best player at the club before he even has played a game! Only winning two out of the last 10 games is bad, but when I look back at where the media predicted us, this might be the right results. We were pretty lucky in some of the early games, and that lucked turned against us. We're still in the Tiroler Cup though, for the first time at the winter break. PotS so far. Youth Intake 2024 We get a very good player in the AMC position, but that's not really a position that needed improvement. I won't complain, as every good player we get, we become a better team! This year was a lot tougher than the last few seasons, and we really had to fight to the to get this one! We finished second in the league and had to go through the play-offs. The first game was an easy game, and we should have won the second as well! Players Stats Walter Fallmann left us this season, as the last player of the original squad. He had 5 good season for us, and outplayed everyone even though his attributes suggested that he should do worse!
