Transfers / Pre season

Following the previous season where we finish in 5th place in fifth season of EPL with a  goal difference of 19(77-58), decided to strengthen the backline by getting in 2 dc with Guaman for £32m from Liverpool  and Jordan Morris a young cb from Wrexham to strengten the centre back, \Giovanni Lambooji left for £16.25m  Notable signings were Moses as an DLP/BBM from liverpool for £27m, Asensio as a  AML/AMR/ST for £36.5m, Lincoln left for olympiakos in a £18.5m deal, Dosijak to Torino for £9m, Arranged some friendlies and full season ticket sales of 18k,Bank balance was £230m Media predicted us to finish 7th.

League Campaign

We have a up and down season. Finish in 7th place after loss away to everton, giving liverpool the chance to leapfrog us into 6th.

Cups

We exceeded the board expectations with FA Cup final 2-1 loss against liverpool.

Champion League

We were drawn into group D with Barca, Young boys and Celtic. After 6 games we were second in the group with 13 points. Barca with 15 points. We won Porto 4-0 aggregate, 3-0 home win and 1-0 away. In quarter finals, managed to hold psg to 2 0-0 games taking the game to penalty shootout which we lost. 

Finances

With the tv prize money of £98.45m and 7th place payout of £33.1m and Champion League Prize Money of £13.69m UEFA Super Cup winner money of £4.03m and after bonuses of £2.7m paid to squad for finishing 7th in league, failure to comply with player salary raise we were fined £10.94m , no tax hit , we have £251m in the bank. Board also gave us a £180m transfer budget and £3.2m/week in wages . Board also announced upgrade of youth level.

Plans

Most likely i will not be continuing this save as i find it hard to bridge the gap between us and winning the epl. Thank you guys for reading this.
