Player preferred move and type of coach

Recommended Posts

Hi, does it matter what type of coach and his attributes and specialty when trying to teach a player a ppm? does picking the wrong coach for the ppm lowers the chance of succeeding and how fast he teach's it to the player? or any will do?

Yes, it matters.

Ugh. Care to elaborate a little? This kind of mechanic is utterly obfuscated to the player, as you must know. There's a difference between using language efficiently and not even trying to be helpful.

In what way does it matter? What kind of coach works well for which PPMs? Are coaching attributes, mental attributes, or some combination factored in?

It was a basic answer to a simple question.  Does it matter which type of coach tries to teach certain PPMs?  Yes it does.  So a technical type of coach will aid the learning of technical PPMs; a defensive type of coach will aid the learning of defensive PPMs and so on.  It's no more complex than that.

Does how good the coach is make a difference if the learning/unlearning of a PPM is successful/how quick?

Yes and no :p.  If poor quality coaches weren't able to teach PPMs, lower league players would never have any.  But it's relative to their level - ask a lower league quality technical coach to teach Mbappe to run with the ball often and he might struggle, but ask him to teach it to Joe Bloggs the winger of Dump United and he might be ok.
