Hootieleece Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Hello, As FM2017 winds down. I am in the middle of my last save. I am looking for a new formation to try out. I have used: 4-4-2, 4-1-3-2, 4-1-2-3 wide, 4-3-3 Narrow, 4-2-3-1 Wide, and a 3-1-4-2. I am able to use these formations to get the best out of players in any league...to win league titles and have decent success in Champions League and Euro Cup (First Knockout or Quarterfinals) Since I am in a bit of a rut and about to start with a new team in a journeyman save. I am looking for advice on a new formation to keep my interest up until FM 18 is released. I usually play with no more than 3-4 TI's and Standard or Control, Advice and comments are welcome! 225C Posted August 17, 2017 Share Posted August 17, 2017 I've had some fun recently switching to a 3-5-2, and my wing backs aren't even that great. It provides lots of options in midfield/defense as well as mentalities. I like that it is easily tweakable during a match. I typically play control with one CM on some type of attacking duty, one CM on defend, and my best passer on support. My forwards vary, but I've been using a target man/poacher combo. Good times!
