DazRTaylor
Just to satisfy my curiosity, have any of you ever declined a job offer which you have applied for? If so, why? just declined Southend after applying as had a change of heart.
Guest
Yes I decline job offers all the time mostly I apply just to see if I could actually get the job
Cougar2010
Yeah I often decline offers. Can be when I've gone on holiday as unemployed and applied for jobs. I'll take the interviews then decide if the jobs for me once offered. Also if I get random offers whilst at a club I'll again do the interview then decide whether to stay or go if offered. SuperSubFM
This doesn't always work but If dealing with a difficult board who won't agree to vital requests - I will sometimes apply for jobs, do the interview and then use it as leverage to get what I want in the "Please stay contract offer"
Fer Fuchs Ake
I was unemployed and got to contract negotiations with Swansea who had been relegated (I had applied for the job). I delayed for a week, saw that the Arsenal job became available and then I joined Arsenal.
