Andy Sava Posted August 26, 2016 Author Share Posted August 26, 2016 Dinamo Bucharest - 2032/2033 Season Review The Club Transfers | Squad | Information | Finances | Records | Best Eleven I'm getting tired of the same conversations with the players every transfer window. The squad harmony is zero, the board isn't happy and that freakin trophy still isn't coming to Dinamo. The main problem is that the league has become soooooooooo boring now. We lose 1 maybe 2 games every season and the other teams just can't keep up to provide us with a challenge. This also affects the players because they want to play in better leagues! I'm not sure what to do anymore. I don't want to sell the star players, not now when we are so close to winning that damn Champions League. Rimau signed a new contract but it had to have a minimum fee release close of 34M euros. He won't be a Dinamo player for to long, i would imagine that quite a few clubs will match the release clause in the summer. Players Out Another season, another mistake. I got offered a player by his agent. His name is Axel Dietz and he is an absolutely fantastic player. I made an offer, about 25M euros, it got accepted and it looket like he was going to join us so i decided to sell Ruben Seoane. He joined Roma for 8.25M but we were left without an attacking midfielder because Dortmund made a better offer and Dietz chose them... We tried to play 4-4-2 but eventually we had Somalia play as an attacking midfielder. We sold Manuel Aguiar for 4.3M to Swansea and Luciano Acha to Getafe for 1.1M. We had to many central midfielders and some had to go. Players In Asier Taranilla and Yuta Nakanishi joined us on free transfers. Taranilla is a decent promising midfielder and Yuta Nakanishi is japanese, most of you will know why i signed him (hint for those who don't: he will bring us some cash from merchandising). Alexis Darias is my most expensive transfer so far. He was praised by my scouts and had a 5 star potential after scouting him for 1 month. He was brought in the winter break to help deal with the loss of Seoane. He is 21 years old, from Spain, and i really really hope he will deliver in years to come. I signed him for 11.5M euros upfront + 15M euros in 48 months installments. The Season Competitions Liga I League Table - Fixtures | Liga I Champions Playoff - Fixtures | Season Records An almost perfect season. But as usual we messed it up, this time in our 4th game of the season where we lost at home against Steaua, 1-2. They had 2 shots and scored 2 goals, we had 20 shots and scored.......1. Great game. League Cup Fixtures | Season Records We had to play extra-time in two games this season, including the final against Steaua which we won. Romanian Cup Fixtures | Season Records The board doesn't even care about the Cup anymore, that's how unimportant this competition has become. Even so, we added another trophy to our list. Champions League Fixtures | Season Records Group Stage I wasn't expecting the group to go so well, not after last year's fiasco. We won 5 games and only lost 1 at home against Bayern. Bayern played poorly from there and they only got 1 point from their 2 games against Feyenoord and after we defeated them in the final day of the group, Feyenoord moved into 2nd place and got Bayern out of the competitions. Results: 2-1 A vs. Feyenoord, 0-1 H vs. FC Bayern, 2-0 A vs. Celtic, 3-1 H vs. Celtic, 4-0 H vs. Feyenoord, 2-1 A vs. FC Bayern 1st KO Round - Schalke Schalke had a very good team on paper. And they showed it in the first game where we got a 3-3 draw after a very hard fought game. The second game was terrifying as we had chance after chance but only managed to pull ahead after 72 minutes and another goal in the 79th minute sealed the qualification for us with a 3-1 victory. Quarter-Final - Juventus Another italian team came at Dinamo and left empty handed. This time Juventus is the team from Italy we hammered at home, a 4-0 victory that left no room for interpretation of who was the better team on that day. The second game was a boring 0-0 draw that gave us another Champions League semi-final. Semi-Final - Liverpool Did i mention i hate Liverpool? I hoped we won't concede at home but my hopes were shattered when Oliveira scored for Liverpool to make it 1-1 in the 12th minute. We scored the winning goal after 75 minutes but 2-1 is one of those tricky results when it comes to away goals. In the second game Liverpool scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes and even though we pulled one back in the 15th minute they won the game after another Oliveira goal in the second half. I feel like we improved alot since last season but we still need a bit more. If Rimau leaves the club it will be really hard to get that bit. With Rimau gone he has become the center of attention and is now getting ridicoulus offers. Valencia are top bidders for now with a 50M offer. No need to say that i won't even consider selling him this season, Rimau leaving was enough. I found a replacement but he will never be as good as Rimau. Thanks, but that's not going to happen. ****ing injuries ruined everything.... Joan Moreno (Rimau;s replacement, 30M euros transfer) got injured right before the last game of the group against Schalke and Eloy Gonzalez, who i had to put in as right winger in place of Moreno, got injured at the start of the Schalke game so i had to improvise. Needless to say it didn't go well. We lost the game 0-2 and bye bye Champions League this season... EDIT: not to mention it was the worst group draw i could have gotten as 2nd seed. Andy Sava Posted September 15, 2016 Author Share Posted September 15, 2016 Dinamo Bucharest - 2033/2034 Season Review The Club Transfers | Squad | Information | Finances | Records | Best Eleven We spent alot of money this season, maybe more than we should have and if the takeover didn't happen we might have been in financial trouble. We also move to the new stadium, the Sava Arena, with a 26656 capacity which can be expanded further. Overall it was a great season for the club and hopefully we will keep rising in the future. Players Out Unfortunatelly, as expected, we lost Kjetil Rimau who joined Manchester City for 34M euros. It was a tough loss and it made me spend alot of money to try and replace him. We also sold Cristian Spataru to Everton for 4.1M euros. Players In We spent alot, way more than we should have. The cheapest player was a croatian hot prospect. Bojan Krznaric is a 17 years old midfielder signed for 500K euros from Lokomotiva Zagreb. I think it's safe to say he has alot of potential and could grow to be a world class midfielder. Another young prospect was signed for 7.5M euros from Newell's. Maximilliano Rotondo is currently loaned at Sloga (P) to get his work permit and hopefully develop his skills so i won't regret the money i spent on him. I've had my eyes on Joan Moreno for quite a while now and Rimau's departure made me throw 30M euros at Espanyol to sign him (i had the chance to sign him for less in previous seasons but refused because i had Rimau). He is still youn, just 22 years old, and already played 3 games for Spain. He also had an amazing first season with 19 goals and 21 assists. Which brings me to the crazy signing i made this season. Nassuf Mbae, former player of Stade Reims, was signed for 37M euros. Only 18 years old, the french wonderkid was attracting all the big clubs in Europe and i decided to join in the fight to get him. For a 37M euros, he didn't play to much in the first season (signed him in January) but he will probably see alot more play next season. Maybe i was crazy to spend this much on an 18 years old player but maybe, just maybe, he will develop into the greatest player we had at the club. The Season The Domestic Season Liga I - League Table - Fixtures | Liga I Champions Playoff - Fixtures | Season Records League Cup - Fixtures | Season Records Romanian Cup - Fixtures | Season Records We won another league title and a Leagu Cup but we failed hard in the Romanian Cup where we got knocked-out by Pandurii after a penalty shoot-out. The European Season Champions League Fixtures | Season Records Group Stage Such a disappointing group stage where we only managed to beat CSKA Moscow. We lost both games against Real Madrid and only got a point from the Schalke games. Funny enough, Porto managed to win the Champions League in a final against Manchester United. After 2 semi-finals, a final, a quarter-final and another semi-final we were knocked out in the group stage. Sigh... Off to Europa League! Results: 0-2 H vs. Real Madrid, 2-2 A vs. Schalke, 2-1 H vs. CSKA Moscow, 3-0 A vs. CSKA Moscow, 1-2 A vs. Real Madrid, 0-2 H vs. Schalke Europa League Fixtures | Season Records I mean, if we failed to win Europa League, what chance would we have in Champions League. It was a must win for us this season and we took it as serious as Champions League. We got past Shakthar in the 1st KO Round (2-1, 3-0) and West Ham in the 2nd KO Round (0-0, 5-1). Benfica was our opponnent in the QF but they weren't a threat in the end as we moved on with 2 wins, 3-0 and 3-2. The semi-finals brought us a team we played against before, Galatasaray. After a we beat them 2-0 at Sava Arena, Galatasaray uped their game and probably were the better team in the second game but it ended in a 3-3 draw and we went to play the Final. The final was against Tottenham which scared me a little at first but we were 2 goals up after 45 minutes and i was confident we could see the game out. Tottenham score in the 79th minute but soon after Damian Foley scored our 3rd goal and brought us our first European trophy. Even if it's just Europa League, it was a great achievement. We keep stumbling on our way to the Champions League final and it's becoming really frustrating. Maybe an overhaul is in order, maybe the players are not good enough. Maybe it's just not meant to be for this save. I'll keep going tho, and i'll keep trying until we make it. Zico, who was released by Cruzeiro, is a Brazilian international player who joined us on a free transfer in January. An early exit from the League Cup as we lost in the Quarter-Final. The European Season Champions League Fixtures | Season Records Group Stage We rolled over the group, we won 5 games but in the last game an unexpected result put some question marks around our abillity to challenge for the Champions League this season. We lost 3-0 against Schalke but i put it off as a fluke. Results: 1-0 A vs. Napoli, 4-2 H vs. Schalke, 3-0 H vs. Rosenborg, 3-2 A vs. Rosenborg, 3-1 H vs. Napoli, 0-3 A vs. Schalke 1st KO Round - FC Bayern The first game was a goalscoring thriller as we couldn't keep our lead and almost lost the game if it wasn't for the goal scored by Alexis Darias in the 87th minute ending the game 4-4. The second game was nothing like the first one as Bayern choked and we ran away with the game 4-0. Quarter-Final - Porto Just like Bayern did againt us we choked hard against Porto in the first game. How on earth can you lose a game 5-0 when you have 63% possession, 81% Passes Completed, the same number of tackles won and more headers won? Can someone explain to me please? I'm lost.... Even in the second game we couldn't make anything even tho we dominated the game and we drew 1-1. I think this is the hardest save i ever played when it comes to winning the Champions League. Which will make it even sweeter when we finally win it. Andy Sava Posted October 20, 2016 Author Share Posted October 20, 2016 Ok, so this is gonna be the last update as i will be moving on to FM17. I finished another season and unfortunatelly we were knocked out in the Champions League semi-finals and so i will end this save without winning a Champion League. I played 21 seasons in which the biggest achievement was winning the 2018 World Cup with Romania. I still can't believe that happened. As for club achievements we won 20 Liga I titles (consecutive wins also), 14 Romanian Cups, 14 League Cups, 1 Europa League and we played 1 Champions League final and 4 semi-finals. We had some great players at the club but unfortunatelly we were unable to push for the Champions League. I think i would have gotten it in the end if it wasn't for WoW: Legion cutting drastically in my FM play time. As for FM17 i didn't decide what i'm going to start with yet but i will certainly see you guys on the forums! Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
