dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2047/48 Last season we completed a league and Champions League double, but we are by no means a standout team in this league. League Table League Positions Graph We didn't even come close to challenging for the title. Community Shield - an even match which we won on penalties. UEFA Super Cup - the scoreline flattered Roma as we battered them. FIFA Club World Cup - this should have been an annihilation. Capital One Cup - another unspectacular run. FA Cup - the replays killed us for fixture congestion, but we had a good final. UEFA Champions League - despite a shaky start to the group, we improved throughout the tournament until we lost the final in a match we should have won. Squad - despite some really strong areas (DC, DM), the squad is starting to feel weak in places as older players are not getting replaced. Finances - looks fine, but we have lost around £200m over the last few years. I'm not actually sure we can afford to keep the youth only policy going forever. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - he's past his peak, but he's still scoring goals. Ousseynou N'Diaye - his versatility is working against him as he keeps needing to fill in at AMC. Gu Gaohang - another solid season. Matt Ashe - an injury ended his season early, but he's a superb defender. Magrao - he's finally got his chance to play DC and he's done well. dafuge
I have one question though. Can I take over a club who were at the lowest playable level in 12/13, if they first were to relegate and then promote back to BSN/S? The only clubs that are eligible are the ones that have not played in a playable league from the start of the game. If they are not in the list in the OP, then they are not eligible. Oxslow
Well done dafuge on getting through so many seasons with a single team again, It is really nice to see how well you have done. I am considering attempting this as my Gundo's Challenge save got corrupted with a powercut .

hashassinated
ok, i've been banned from SI forums for a week, so i wont do updates until it ends, but i can tell you that i won treble (Euro Super Cup, FA Cup, Euro Cup), got to 3rd place in premier league with my Kettering, and next season is looking nice... Already did few transfers "sell high, buy replacement for less", cause my budget is starting to look grim, but hopefully extra money from Champs League will help me... If they are not in the list in the OP, then they are not eligible. OK. That somewhat narrows the choice of clubs I have. XaW or anyone managing Cambridge City. It looks like since the stadium Cambridge C move to (Cricket Field Road) is not new, they are able to build a new one when ever they like to or are able to. When they do build a new stadium, is it located in Cambridge or Newmarket?
Xaruz
I'm starting kinda late with the challenge this year. Haven't really gotten into a good save yet. I hope this will change that. Are you guys loading the other british league such as the scottish and irish leagues etc. ? Or only the english leagues? And aren't EL/CL boring without the rest of the big 5 leagues loaded? (except for EPL of course).

mclarke1987
I'll be starting this today just went down and put cash into the bank (I dont own fm13 yet ;p) so will pick it up in a few hours. I must admit it'll be a huge system shock as i've been playing fm09 for the past couple of days, i loaded up the fm13 demo and big changes. Unlike most here who seem to get back to back promotions i'll be taking a 3step per season approach, step 1 - avoid relegation & save some money, step 2 - mid table, find myself a good set of defenders & a good GK, step 3 - challenge for promotion & finish up my squad. I tend to go for 3year contracts with players and pick them for current division only, not much for planning ahead but i like to monitor finances v.closely so my club doesnt go broke. My additional rules (to the dafuge challenge) 1) No foreign players (even those based in the uk) 2) No players over 25yo Wish me luck. I'll most likely post up every few seasons and just keep a set of screenshots as i progress. Purchased...Holiday...Reload.... Met Police xD (have a save before i took the job, also has C.Rangers) icedravenx on steam if you want the save. mclarke1987
Will update with pictures and more indepth, just a heads up. I survived the 1st season (finished 18th after alot of injuries over the december period). New year and bigger nightmare, my budget was set to 3.5k (down by £600) so I signed up my mid/forwards then the board announced my budget would be 2.9k which was a nightmare cos I loonly had £300 left to sort out 4defenders & a goal keeper. They refuse to let me get a parent club and im struggling to find loan players. I managed to scramble a terrible backline but i have zero subs so looks like my youth squad may be required. Fingers crossed I get another takeover cos the new guy is just cutting every opportunity for progression. Scratch this - sacked after a takeover. Better goal difference meant the K's finished the campaign topping the table. FA Cup Herne Bay, Boreham Wood and Gloucester were bested by Kingstonian, but Sheffield United away were too strong. The match in front of more than 12 000 spectators in Sheffield was financially important for the K's however. Players Aidan Grant - GK Very tall young keeper. At 199 cm and 76 kg he is borderline underweight - he better start eating and hit the weights at the gym. George Swann - DC Good season by the former Man City youngster. One of the absolute key players. Jack Munns - AMC Sets up goals and scores them. BSS player of the season. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2048/49 Last season we won the FA Cup but fell just short in the Premier League and Champions League. The upcoming season looked like it would be tough for my squad of youth products. League Table League Positions Graph Despite a shaky start we stormed the league with just a single loss three games from the end against Fulham. Community Shield - we were unlucky to lose this. Capital One Cup - we had a good run but suffered a loss on penalties in the final. FA Cup - another good run but yet another loss at Wembley. UEFA Champions League - Barcelona ran us close, but we made the final comfortably. In a repeat of the 2048 final, we faced Arsenal, but this time we came out on top. Squad - with a number of players over 30, the squad is started to look a bit weak in certain areas. Finances - another loss, we just can't afford to keep going like this. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - he wasn't our top scorer, but still had a great season for a 33 year old. Ousseynou N'Diaye - he had a superb season, top scoring despite playing some games in midfield. Tom Mayo - rated by my coaches as the best player in my squad. This season is likely to be our last as a squad of youth products as I go back into the transfer market to take the club in a new direction. League Table League Positions Graph The title looked unlikely, but we finished the season in great form and managed to overtake Man City thanks to a thrilling 5-3 win over them. Community Shield - it was an even match but we got the win. UEFA Super Cup - this match looked over in the first half but we let Milan back in to make it close. FIFA Club World Cup - this was a lot closer than we were expecting. Capital One Cup - we fell at the first hurdle. FA Cup - Arsenal were too much for us in the replay. UEFA Champions League - we stormed our way to the final which turned out to be us against Arsenal for the third time in a row. We took our early chances and got the win. Squad - the injuries could have destroyed our season if they were a few weeks earlier as we lost both DMs, with our first choice out for nine months. Finances - we roughly broke even, but we are under £200m for the first time in years. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - at 34 it is looking like he will struggle to get into the side again. Ousseynou N'Diaye - another superb goal scoring season. Spencer Rush - not really rated by the coaches, but he had a blinder. Fredrick Onyango - he'd just become my first choice DM, so this injury was devastating. Chimaobi Ibrahim - another youngster who has recently broken into the first team. Have screenshots from the 25th and a couple of midseason streak pictures aswell as transfers etc. Reason im posting is the club is predicting a 200k loss for the season despite being 1k under the wage budget. duccio
I'm getting ready for the first season in League 1, and Linfield are interested in my 20 year old midfielder Josh Harrop. I don't think he really is good enough for League 1, so just for the heck of it I offered him for £2.5M and 50% of the next transfer. Linfield came back with an offer of £1.4M and 50%, which my chairman accepted on my behalf. Harrop is valued at £55K! I hope the deal goes through. mclarke1987
Finished Year 1 (pics here - http://mercybay.com/Year1/) Quick run through, it was v.hectic, had a great xmas period but after that things went bad, went down to the last few games before I was able to shake off the team in 2nd. Stuck with the same tactics & squad though didn't make any changes to the squad over xmas just relied on what was working prior hoping they would get the points we needed. I have now moved into the BSP and had a takeover, the board are looking for me to reduce the wage budget a little, which i've managed but my GK's are terrible. I'll need to get one on loan or strike it lucky during the xmas transfer window. So far looking at 7pts from 5games, so i'd expect to scrape a mid-table finish but since the board is just looking for avoiding relegation i'll use this time to rebuild the squad. I have a couple of my key players on decent contracts now so i don't need to worry about losing them. I'll do another batch picture upload when I finish this season but not expecting any real success beyond surviving. My board gave me a 1 year deal and refused my request for a longer contract. Maybe after a decent year this time they will allow me a bit more security on my contract. Side notes - I got manager of the year, I moved in to the top 10 welsh managers (pathetic really we welsh need a little bit more success in life )
duccio
Harrop moved to Linfield for £1.4M and 50%, and I also sold a second midfielder to Linfield for another £1.4M and 50%. The Northern Irish club must have lots of money (unless they just used it all) and very little they can spend it on.
dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2050/51 Last season I brought the youth only era to an end. It wasn't quite the fairy-tale ending with England I was hoping for, but the club had won two consecutive league and Champions League doubles. This season was all about getting back into the transfer market and rebuilding the squad with better players. League Table League Positions Graph We struggled with the games in hand, but we eventually caught up and won a third consecutive title. It wasn't convincing though, so hopefully we can score more goals next season. Community Shield - we made hard work of what should have been an easy match. UEFA Super Cup - we got stuck in to complete a great comeback from a goal down. FIFA Club World Cup - this was a lot closer than it should have been. Capital One Cup - after the amazing comeback against Man City we made it into the final, but we blew it. FA Cup - there were no such problems in this competition as we won every match, including a close final. UEFA Champions League - we looked set to make another final but we threw away a 5-2 first leg lead in Madrid, getting knocked out on away goals. Transfers - it was a busy transfer window as I brought in a large number of new players. It wasn't easy though, as we lost out to Arsenal on my number one target. Squad - a lot of the youth products are still making the first team, but I've filled in the weak positions with some new players. Finances - I was always going to make a huge loss this season as I splashed out on a lot of players. Hopefully this will improve as I start buying and selling again. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - using him sparingly was having amazing results, but a bad injury cut his season short. Michal Lauko - the new striker, who had a decent debut season. David Speed - probably my top signing, he made a huge difference to the team. Lee Furness - he's always been a backup striker, but he's pushing for a first team place. Matt Ashe - another solid season from the defender. hashassin
LOL, 272 mln spent on transfers!!! thats what you call an overhaul... i have a question. I already won Champions League, but i'm afraid it will take me few more years to win Premier League. And i have to honestly admit that i'm getting a bit bored with the game now, i'm losing motivation (it happened in my previous save when i won everything with OM, Arsenal and AC Milan). I would love to takeover Polish national team after next season (they should sack a manager, cause quali group is tough and i cant see them progressing), but it would be against the rules, yes? dafuge
Yes, it would be against the rules. You need to complete the challenge before taking on a national team. Of course it is your game and it is up to you, but if you took the job early then you shouldn't continue to post about the game here.

mclarke1987
I seem to be hitting a brickwall. Basically i get promoted into BSP. Funding disappears, can't sign a half decent GK or any DC's which means despite scoring 2goals a game i concede like 4. This isn't just a funding issue there are next to no free transfers and nothing avaliable on loan. I think i'm going to re-holiday if i fail this season and just try with a different club. I have a bad feeling the rng on transfers kind of screwed my back line cos i've hunted everywhere and there's no way i can bolster it. No transfer budget to buy a player (+ they want 20-40k min if i do find one avaliable for sale) No wages to convince the better players to reject other contracts. No loan players/parent clubs available. Im beginning to think I should of threw the title in the first season and just stuck around getting a squad together against the easier competition. Oh well will make a decision shortly but most likely going to do a fresh holiday period and try a different club. Unless of course some miracle occurs in the next few months where my squad realize conceding goals = bad
dafuge
I found the BSP really difficult too. I stuck at it and eventually made a breakthough in my seventh year in that league.
mclarke1987
Ended up being unable to stay up so reloaded. Got Chorley (mostly cos im a newcastle fan so colors worked for me ) Currently have 11games (inc friendlies) conceded 2goals, 1 loss, 2draws. In the league i'm 5 games in with 5 clean sheets. Picked up a keeper called Ireland he was reluctant to come to the squad but offered a v.nice appearence/clean sheet bonus and now im worried he'll bankrupt me He's on £450 a week, £200 clean sheet bonus & £180 appearence fee... so that's...4weeks (£1800), 5games (£1000), 5cleansheets (£900). £3700 for 5games in the bsn. Still v.glad he signed a 2year deal, I have a feeling he could be v.handy up until CC1 Will actually right up a proper review come mid-season. Fingers crossed his gloves stay in form. But he is v.highly recommended! Danny Ireland, released from Coventry 2012 (age 24)
mclarke1987
http://mercybay.com/Chorley/Year1/ Ok so mid-season now, im not in a great position for promotion but it can turn around. Things just seem to be going from bad to worse, in the FA Cup team were doing well then had 2red cards and a penalty which ultimately killed out tournament. Then straight into the Trophy with another red card after 20min. So that was that, atleast we can focus on the league. Injuries, I've had a few. Nothing too bad but 3 of my main 11 are out for between 6-8 weeks overlapping so the team will gradually improve during January. I switched from my preferred, 4-5-1 fluid control to a 4-4-2 standard this is because my 4-5-1 uses 2 wingers and they are on the injury list so i'm forced to use my not to good replacements making my midfield very weak at the moment. I basically realized im not going to get the wins, so I may as well try and limit the gd damage (although that hasn't worked great tyvm Altringham). Key players... well this is a tricky one. I still have alot of faith in my Goalkeeper (Danny Ireland) it's v.difficult to get clean sheets when ur fielding so many shots. Andrew Teaque my main central defender has been amazing always putting in v.good performances. Howard & Cunliffe are both out injured but they were v.instrumental earlier in the season and should be back within 4weeks to help us make a push for it. So the original goal was a good solid season allowing me to find the strong players I want to keep in the BSP. Im thinking I will probably miss out this year through playoffs but im getting a v.good idea of where I need to strengthen the squad. Hopefully the clubs funding will allow me to get an increase in wages next year so I can replace the weak links and take the title. I'll try to secure some 3year contracts as well as I have some v.nice players i'd love to take all the way into the coke leagues. Overall review...I'm confident i like the squad, the setup aint bad and the possibilities are endless for growth which i feel is the whole point of this challenge. Now i just need to hope the board don't lose faith and we'll be golden.
duccio
Season Four 16/17 - - - Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 | Squad | Transfers League 1 Media Prediction: 24th Final Position: 3rd For the first time since the first season in BSS I was not confident of good results, and expected the season to end with the K's in an obscure midtable position. The squad surprised me and played well for the whole season not quite being able to keep up with Coventry and Sheffield United. Third place still denotes a good performance throughout, and I cannot be too displeased with the defeat against the eventual promoters Gillingham in the Play Off Semi Finals. FA Cup Lost to Premier Division Wigan in the 3rd Round replay after beating Carlisle and Accrington in the earlier rounds. League Cup First Round defeat against Championship side Ipswich. Players Most changes to the squad happened to the midfied. 3 midfielders left for Linfield in Northern Ireland for a combined sum on £4.1M, and were replace by 2 Irish players and Welsh and Hollands who both are English. Aidan Grant - GK OK season by the tall keeper. For the first time in his career he was named PoM. Dean McMullan - GK Backup goalie who had some complains about lack of first team football. Different type of a keeper than Grant, but not necessarily worse. George Swann - DC Swann is great. He is somewhat reluctant to sign a new contract and his listed value is close to his release clause. I might lose him. Paul Heary - DMC I expected a better Av R from Heary, but nevertheless he seems to be a rather good prospect and I look forward to seeing how he develops his skills. Anthony Griffin - MC Griffin played in continental competitions at Crusaders, but decided to switch to Kingstonian, for which I'm happy. Could be a future captain. Jack Munns - AMC Munns is a machine. League 1 Player of the Year award winner scores and sets up scoring opportunities. 3rd best goal scorer in League 1. Ross Crocker - ST It was no shocker that Crocker scored loads of goals. 2nd best goal scorer in League 1. Rhys Healey - ST The ball found itself in the net with some regularity right after first touching Healey's boot. The best goal scorer in League 1. General Notes This is my first managerial foray to England in FM13, and I notice there is something called "Youth Setup Category". I think it has something to do with how FA has designated different kind of requirements and ratings for football academies. What is the significance of Youth Setup Category in FM? It must have some overlapping with Junior Coaching. I have asked Youth Level to be pushed to the next attainable level a couple of times, but the board has rejected the idea because of lack of funds. At the same time the board has several times accepted my requests for more funding for Junior Coaching, which is now "Excellent". At the same time Youth Setup Category went from 0 to 3 when Kingstonian were promoted to League 1, and it has now changed to to 2. mclarke1987
Season Finito - Pics - http://mercybay.com/Chorley/Year1/ Well the year didn't turn back around, couldn't for the life of me string a good set of results together, one minute beating a strong team then getting beat by the worst in the division. Will be cutting some of the not to strong players before next season when I am targeting promotion. I've renewed 10contracts in total and will let the rest fade off. Which will bring me in approximately 2k in wages. Drawing from the past seasons experience I think a key issue i'll need to address is depth. Injuries were causing huge problems for me even though they were short timeframes. I'll see what I can do about picking up an extra Defender & 2 Midfielders, depending on the market I may get a striker but it's unlikely as my AML/AMR can slot into a strike position if needed. I'll be sticking with the same tactic for home games as I only had 5losses, 4draws at home it was the 12losses and 4draws away that killed out season so i'll be switching to a 5-4-1 counter formation. hashassin
Mahamoud Sangare - bought as 18yo for 10mln, now he's my best player by far. Golden Ball and World Player of the Year... like a boss!!
mclarke1987
Season 2 over - Pics - http://mercybay.com/Chorley/Year2/ Had a decent position for most of the tournament until the last few games when things went south, was fortunate to survive the playoffs and not looking forward to BSP. I have signed both of the players I had on loan to my main squad as they were vital last year, my only goal this year is to survive. There is zero chance i'll complete for promotion and I'll most likely have some hellish 10game losing streak but I need to survive. The only way I see my team progressing is by surviving for 2-3years trying to make some profit, most of the big teams in the league pay out around 800-1400 per player on wages I have to get by offering 500. I'll try to focus a little attention on the fa cup & fa trophy in hopes of garnering a little extra cash but lets be honest. I wont win. I did however get manager of the year last year despite not winning the league so that's a nice thing to have xD Will stick to yearly updates though as i seem to be playing through a season in a day or two, so midleague will become way to spammy. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2051/52 Last season I went back into the transfer market but we failed to win the Champions League for the first time in three years. League Table League Positions Graph We broke the 100 point barrier for only the second time ever as we stormed the league, dragging Man Utd with us all the way. Community Shield - it took a late goal, but we got the win. Capital One Cup - another early exit in this cup. FA Cup - we stumbled against Spurs but we dominated the final. UEFA Champions League - we won every match before making a mess of the final, losing on penalties. Transfers - there was very little action but I did manage to pick up a winger I missed out on last year. Squad - we could do with a couple of new strikers, but the squad is fairly strong now. Finances - financing the new stadium has been hard work, but it should pay for itself in time. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - still no retirement plans, but he's still scoring when called upon. Michal Lauko - another great goal tally from our main striker. David Speed - another superb season from the midfielder. Hudson Maicon - the big money signing finally hit form. Fredrick Onyango - not bad for someone who missed nine months not long ago. duccio
Season Five 17/18 - - - Table | Graph | Fixtures 1 | Fixtures 2 | Squad| Transfers League 1 Media Prediction: 11th Final Position: 1st The season had two a bit more difficult periods - one right in the beginning, and the other in January and February. Otherwise everything went great and in the end Kingstonian won the division without mutch trouble. FA Cup In the 3rd Round the K's got lucky and won Premier Division side West Ham away by 2 - 0 after being on the defensive for the whole match, but in the 4th Round luck run out when Championship team Gillingham overcame them 2 - 1 at Kingsmeadow despite having far fewer shots and less possession. League Cup In the 2nd Round Championship club Brighton beat Kingstonian 2 - 1 at the American Express Community Stadium. Players George Swann - DC Luckily it wasn't Swann's swan song at Kingstonian quite yet, and no one bid on the player despite his value almost matching his release clause. He has now signed a new contract with higher min fee clause, and potentially quite ridiculously expensive wage rise clauses. Mark Breslin - MC Decent defensively minded midfielder signed from Northampton. Jack Munns - AMC Munns continued his good form, but could not quite replicate his previous season's performances. He also suffered from injuries. Ross Crocker - ST Loads of goals. Rhys Healey - ST Loads of Goals. General Notes Because of the promotion to Championship, Kingsmeadow must be converted to an all seater stadium. Curiously during the construction work Kingstonian will be playing at a stadium called New Plough Lane. Wimbledon used to play at Plough Lane years ago, so I guess this is a new version of it meant for AFC Wimbledon. The new version of Plough Lane was built in 2016, but AFC Wimbledon have not moved to it. AFC Wimbledon will be remaining at Kingsmeadow during the seat conversion works, but somehow the works do not affect the stadium's capacity. mclarke1987
Season 3 over - Pics - http://mercybay.com/Chorley/Year3/ Long day at the desk and very frustrating. I won the FA Trophy so that was a v.nice bonus. I "almost" made the play-offs, ended up having a bad run of games closing out the season due to fatigue, ended up missing out on goal difference. I've retained most of my players. Although my two loanee turned signings weren't bad. I just don't think they will win in this division so i'll let them expire. So I'll be reassembling my front line, adding a little more depth. The club made a huge profit for the year, well £392k so I'm hoping they will spring for a decent wage/transfer budget this coming year. I really wish i could do a key player thing, but the only 1 who played amazing was Andrew Teague my 30year old defender. He is captain of my squad and always performs well. Got 4motm in the fa trophy too.
mclarke1987
Season 4 over - Pics - http://mercybay.com/Chorley/Year4/ That was hell, as you can see I kept most of my squad from the previous year. My board were extremely unhappy but haven't sacked me (I specifically asked them after 10games to give me the season) they agreed to ignore the season but haven't as of yet offered me a contract. To be honest I have no clue why things wouldn't work perhaps there just getting beyond there best and declining, there were a few prospective players that just didn't develop as planned. My current squad is 16players with 2 loans, I'll be releasing 5 of them at the end of there contracts, letting the 2 loan players return home and force terminating 5 contracts. Which will leave me a squad of 7players... whose contracts i'll be extending to 2019 (cost of +£100 over there existing contracts) It will leave me fixing midfield and strikers and a bench. Maybe adding an extra DC but I really need to fix this squad (provided i get a new contract). No key players to mention, crap season. Hopefully i'll get a new contract EDIT: W00T They offered me a 2year contract xD Now to rebuild, my goal within 2years get promoted. EDIT v2: A wage budget of 3.5k! My currently 7players are approx 3k :S EDIT v3: This is a pointless effort ,will be holidaying 2months at a time since its only finances i need to secure now, won't bother updating for 3years but will make it a mass update with pics of each season etc. EDIT V4: Sacked 2years later. Nothing of note really since this update. Restarting again as Blyth, will save updates til 5th year
dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2052/53 Last season my newly bought squad won the league but lost the Champions League final on penalties. This season we wanted to go one better. League Table League Positions Graph United and City pushed us all the way, but they faded as the season drew to a close. Community Shield - despite going behind we got a big win. Capital One Cup - we got a bit further than usual, but lost out in the quarter finals. FA Cup - Man City gave us our biggest test as we made our way to a final which we won with ease. UEFA Champions League - nearly a perfect campaign, topped off with a great comeback in the final. Transfers - there were a couple of big sales as we made a decent profit. Squad - it isn't perfect, but it is getting better. Finances - financing the new stadium has been tough, but next season we should start to see the benefits. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - still no retirement plans. Michal Lauko - a stunning goal tally. David Speed - a bad injury hit us hard as he is a key player. Hudson Maicon - a superb season from the winger. John Bakker - a solid defender. dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2053/54 Last season we completed an amazing treble, so it was a perfect time to open our new stadium 'Dafuge Arena'. League Table League Positions Graph The Manchester clubs chased us, but we were far too strong at the end of the season to let them catch us. Community Shield - a decent win to kick the season off. UEFA Super Cup - another one sided trophy win. FIFA Club World Cup - it took us a while to break them down, but we got the win over the Egyptians. Capital One Cup - we looked good to win this one until a spectacular loss at Spurs. FA Cup - possibly the most embarrassing loss of my career as we went out to League 1 Colchester. UEFA Champions League - we were unbeatable, although the final was tricker with ten men. This saw us overtake Real Madrid with 13 titles. Transfers - another big profit as I brought in more talented youngsters to replace the fringe players. Squad - the squad is in superb shape, with two great players for each position. We've even picked up a decent looking striker through our youth system. Finances - a small loss, mostly due to expensive contract renewals. Key Player Profiles: Joseph Mulready - his final season, where he played for the reserves. He'll be staying on as a fitness coach. Michal Lauko - couldn't quite keep up his early season form, but still a great year. Jordan Brady - he's challenging Luako for the main striker role, and succeeding. David Speed - a superb midfielder. Javi López - he was expensive but he's proving he was worth it. mclarke1987
I found myself repeating mistakes, signing the same players and falling into the same traps so instead im holidaying until 2020 and will start the challenge there. Just wanted to confirm that still falls within the rules, ie there is nothing specifying I must start in 13/14 season. Note I wont be managing any teams prior its just holiday man doing the work and I won't manage a team that has been promoted into the division in the years i've skipped (so fewer options than the initial challenge). dafuge
That's fine, you can do the 'holiday man' season for as many years as you like. Just be careful when picking a club though, you'll have to check the history to make sure they have not previously been promoted to a playable league and then relegated. mclarke1987
Pics - http://mercybay.com/Margate/Y1/ I decided to holiday until 2020 so that my "usual" players were beyond reach and it would be a completely fresh experience. The only club available to me that hadn't been into the bsn or bss was Margate so I took control. Finances Finances -105k (expected) Wage Budget 4.88k Transfer Budget 8.27k Expectations League: Avoid Relegation FA Cup : Third Qualifying Round FA Trophy : First Round Bare in mind the finances are with no backroom stack or new players broad in, I'm expecting more along the lines of -150/160k by the end of the season. Season 1 as always isn't shooting for promotion its consolidating my position, evaluating the squad and scouting out some new players. First step is to fill the vacant staff positions, do a full review of my existing squad and bring in some players. I have 1.4k left in my wage budget to strengthen the squad so will bring in 1 midcenter and try to loan a couple of players. I'll make sure to spice up the end of season reports and give them a nicer format like the others on here
dafuge
Wingate & Finchley - Barclays Premier League - 2054/55 Last season we won our second successive league and Champions League double. With the squad getting better and better, this should be another successful season. League Table League Positions Graph After 23 consecutive wins it looked like we could complete a perfect season, but we started dropping a few points in the final third of the season. Community Shield - Blackburn kept the scoreline down as we dominated them. UEFA Super Cup - this was all over by half time. FIFA Club World Cup - it was a miracle that we only scored four. Capital One Cup - we had a rare good run in this cup, with a demolition in the final. FA Cup - the first three matches were far from spectacular, but we made our way to another easy final win. UEFA Champions League - we had a bit of a wobble in the group stage, but we soon found our form as we stormed to another final. It was close, but a last Brady goal sealed the win for us. Transfers - not a lot of action as I couldn't find anyone who I thought could improve my squad. Squad - we could possibly strengthen the defence, but the squad is great in all areas. Finances - another round of expensive contract renewals stopped us from making a decent profit. Key Player Profiles: Michal Lauko - top scorer yet again. Jordan Brady - another superb goal tally for my second striker. David Speed - an injury cut his season short, but he's still brilliant. Ousseynou N'Diaye - I was thinking about selling him, but it is hard when he plays like this. Fredrick Onyango - for someone who missed an entire season through injury, he's doing well.
