Wow that is epic!! I've just spent the best part of my evening reading this due to seeing it linked in Jupjamie's thread.

Sorry to bring it back to the top after almost 4 years but that's an epic career story!

I just want to know why it stopped haha!

Definitely my favourite career I've ever seen on here. If you read this, Makoto, well done, and thank you for such an awesome story :)

Holy wow this brought back some memories! seems unreal that it's been so long! It also made me wonder if I still had any save file of it on my old-old-old laptop and well, it does, may old-old-old laptop has a file from the 21st of December 2011....would anybody like to see this brought back?

Here we go!

Let's turn back history a bit shall we?

4020170616698bab5c1ca46e92d8a5e6.png

It's September 2031 and I'm into my 20th season managing San Giovanni and apparently my 4th season managing San Marino U19's, although after this game against Moldova I'll be ending my time there...

2af61c4ffbef64b930f4e7fe792a37e7.png

We're just about to start our Champions League Groups and our group contains Rangers, Sevilla & AC Milan.

30dd2b927ec3cef2c12d7f252eb1cb09.png

This is our 1st team squad...we have little depth and everyone is on international duty.

And here is *HALF* of our youth team, the majority of which are useless.

2d37a864591ed1776ae2c26b166134b5.png

This is our supreme captain, long live Remo Aielli!

This is our vice-captain, he doesn't like me very much and is leaving on a free at the end of the season.

Shall we do this? :D

Youth Intake Day!

I may be up to Enrico Chiodo (YP23) but I decided to change so that from now since this is my 20th season, this seasons candidates will be (YP20) and so on..

Alberto looks like he could be a similar type to the departing vice-captain which could be great and Davide Tarli has next to no determination but hopefully he can be the #1 GK in the next 3 seasons or so.

I'm so, so glad this is back :D

Unlucky against Staebek :( Has Chiodo been ruined by injury yet, or is this version of the save earlier than that?

I think I was getting a bit bored of FM16 as well so finding a way to bring this back has been great! :D and no this version of Chiodo is fine...for now although he is still injury prone.

Chiodo Attributes - Injury List

Also, Staebek beat Skonto 3-0 in the 3rd Qualifying Round, beat Sheriff 2-1 in the playoffs and have no points or goals after 3 group games where they're up against Barcelona, Bayern Munich & Galatasaray.

I really hope Chiodo has more luck with staying healthy this time round, because he looks immense. I can't remember what training was like on FM12, but if you can would it be worth putting Chiodo on a very light training schedule?

I've put him on a light training schedule but also given him an individual focus to hopefully try and get his speed up a little bit.

A win away at Villa? That's one way to make up for missing out on the CL on penalties :D

Sadly this was then followed by a 4-0 loss at home to HSV and a 5-0 loss away to Partizan...but in the 4th game?

Well colour me pink! Back before I participated in the forums much, I followed this and loved it, partially inspiring me to get involved in the San Marino World (to an extent, it's not in the SM leagues, but with the Italian based side)

Seeing this on the top of the threads made me come back and check it out. I re read most of it and am one of the many who are flocking back to read up on the restart!

Well done and great to see you back!

Good luck against Banants, letss see you in the CL group stages :)

Thank you so much Leonavich! I've followed both yours and Jimbo's San Marino saves closely and am amazed by both as well! :D

Or not...I wasn't the smartest of people when I started this with just 2000 players loaded most teams have nobody which makes for unrealistic encounters and, for me, no immersion of any sorts, on top of this..it's been 4 years and this team just doesn't feel right, it's my team but it also really isn't. I can't quite put my finger on it but there's just something missing here. This is now probably over but as per usual I am running ideas through my head.

Deepest apologies.
