    CM - Woodyard (26)
    CM - Burrows (17)
    LW - Ward (24)
    ST - Kanu (19)
    ST - Jones (16)

    Will be fun to see if I can replicate the teams performances in real life, in the game.

    The attacking quartet of Eisa, Toney, Maddison and Dembele will score goals in League 1,  to hopefully  win promotion to the Championship + Premier League but only if the owners don't sell are best players in FM.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Will also be interesting to see what the 'club vision' is, as the owners have said in real life;

    “We’ve set the Academy staff a goal for three graduates every year to be good enough to be taken on at first-team level by the year 2024. It is a demand if you like. If they are not producing three players every season then they are not doing their job.”

    Also the chairman Darragh Macanthony has set objectives for this season;

    * Promotion and the League One title.
    * Fantastic football for our fanbase.
    * Excellent home record.
    * Complete the purchase of the stadium.
    * Smash 5.5k season tickets sales when they go on sale again in February/March.
    * 120 goals scored & 25 clean sheets.
    * Golden Boot winner.
    * Three players in EFL team of year.
    * Manager of year trophy.
    * Checkatrade Trophy.
    * See another youth graduate play for England Under 20s.
    * Two strikers to score 20 league goals each.
    * Continue growth of new fans through fantastic schools initiative.
    * See our under 18s go deep in the FA Youth Cup.
    * Turn down a £5 million plus bid for two of our players in January window (it would mean we are having a fantastic season).
    * Smash all our commercial targets.
    * Average 8k home gates.
    * Go through January without signing a player (also means squad doing its job).
    * More facilities at our training ground.
    * Take all players/staff away to Vegas or the Bahamas to celebrate a successful season.
    * Pay for all non-football staff to have holidays with their families at the end of season for doing their bit.

    You may have sold me on this idea you know.

    Before that it was Bolton or Ipswich but like the fact that Peterborough seem to have an identity and as you say I hope this is implemented into their 'club vision'

  2. Personally find it difficult to start a game thinking short team anyway so any game I start even during the Beta is a long term save or I hope for it to be. Can't really start a game thinking I'm gonna play this for 2 weeks then stop when the full game is out. Also I've never really found the Beta to have anything that makes the game unplayable, certainly not for the last couple of years or so

    But the full game is released Tuesday 19th so I don’t see how releasing the BETA on Tuesday 5th “wouldn’t be ideal”?

    But I’m all for the idea of releasing it on the 1st :brock:

    Mainly due to the fact that most people are at school or work so doesn't give us much chance to play the game. Usually its released on a Thursday or Friday leading into a weekend which is much better hence my hope for Friday 1st November

  4. The guideline so to speak is roughly 2 weeks before release and of course 2 weeks exactly is the 5th November. My guess as my above post suggested was Friday 1st November simply because I can't see SI releasing it over a weekend on a Saturday or Sunday and I also don't see it being quite as close to the 5th November. Miles did seem indicate their were one or two problems that needed to be sorted and it also seemed like a lot of work was needed to be done still so my prediction may be optimistic. I just feel releasing a Beta on a Thursday or Friday (which it usually is) allows a lot of people to enjoy it over the weekend. If its released on the 5th which is a Tuesday that wouldn't be ideal

    Basically I'm talking absolute rubbish and it will just be released when its ready :lol:

  5. Thanks for that Neil :)

    Anyone else really itching to play? I'm one of those that always (well most of the time) stops playing the previous FM at least 1 month before release of the new game and this year I stopped in September and with release being a bit later this year it feels even longer!! I'm not particularly into any other games anymore either, its usually FM or nothing. Hoping for the Beta to come next Friday (1st November) but more hope than expectation. Rather it ready of course than have a really buggy game

    Why does it matter though? I've lost track of the number of games that have had set release dates, only for that date to slip anyway. Not a dig, genuinely curious, personally don't see the drama around it all

    Its not really a 'drama' but I don't think anyone can deny its slightly odd being midway through October and not having an actual release for a game due to be released in November? I mean its obviously not the end of the world by any means, but it's just a bit odd I think.

  7. @Stewart1111 makes some really good points in his post to be fair. Can see why the mods don't like the manner of it in some places but some of his points are completely spot on and very frustrating. I'm not gonna sit here and say things are easy to sort out because when have I ever made a computer game ffs but the bids point he makes is probably the best one. How that continues to be overlooked each year is really baffling

  8. I just came in to ask the exact same question about the release date, is it always this late? Probably is just can't remember

    If Matteo above is correct then that means the BETA is around 3 weeks or so away. Would have thought a release date would have been announced by now if that's the case

    It's funny how anybody who demands a new Match Engine never explains their reasoning with anything more than, "Well... the current ME's just broken, isn't it?"

    For me its not the fact its 'broken' its the fact we have a ME that wouldn't look out of place in gaming 20 years a go.

    Brutal but true. I love FM so much, it will always be my favourite ever game but the ME needs a complete overhaul and as a huge fan of the game like someone else mentioned before I'd be more than willing to skip a year in order to get a complete refresh on that part of the game to bring it into the 21st century. And dare I say they may attract a younger audience too (but I do appreciate sales are still great)

  10. I think for me none of these improvements are major? That's not me complaining (I'm not one of them) but I don't see anything major here that really stands out. I did feel after last year where in fairness we got plenty of big improvements, that we'd get not too much this year and I've been proven right really. I'll still buy it and get endless fun and enjoyment out of the game, but its a meh for me. But in fairness until we actually play the game you can't really write it off

  11. I think 19 was a superb game so am genuinely considering missing out 20. We had plenty of new features last year and I'm slightly concerned we'll get a glorified data update this year but we will see. Announcement is standard, wasn't expecting new features to be released just yet but the emphasis seems social media related which personally gives me no interest in changing my mind about missing out a year.

    Hope I'm proven wrong come mid-September however

  12. VAR probably the only feature I'm disappointed if I'm honest. Just from a constructive viewpoint, I think its a little early to introduce it for me and will probably become quite repetitive (will you be able to skip it?) Much like Brexit  too(in my opinion) being released too early into the game when its not been finalised. VAR is still work in progress so to speak IRL

    Just wanted to offer my constructive viewpoint on that. As I said in the main thread, the new features otherwise are fantastic. Very excited, great job SI
