Thanks, I 'll try those changes. The only reason I haven't used any Saudi files from others is that they usually included transfers (which I didn't want).

I've made lots of edits to several Saudi Arabia clubs in the FM23 editor to ensure they have lots of cash as well as editing the club income, max wages, chairman resources & tendency to sign high profile players - all of which was a complete waste of time. Not a single signing in the first 4 years of my test game. Can someone advise me what I have to do to get Saudi Clubs involved in the transfer market in FM23?

I'm not sure there even is a patch coming, just a final data update - which I hope will be within the next week or so.

Thanks for the update. By future development, I hope you mean FM24. Something like this affects EVERY long term game played in FM and is therefore absolutely crucial to get it right ASAP - far more important than any new features IMHO.

NO IT ISN'T hyperbolic. FM22/23 may have more issues than ever, but to imply that previous games have produced a regular stock of top quality new players is just fanciful.

I wouldn't want my face associated with the terrible newgens that this game produces...

This has been a massive problem for years - not just this year's game. It can only be a deliberate choice to discourage long term games as it is such an obvious problem when you just can't find any genuine quality youth coming through after 4 - 5 years. Biggest single issue with FM for me...

Any reason why you can't choose which assistant takes over key responsibilities (like team talks) - only the current assistant is listed as an option in the drop down list? It's like the others don't exist except for things like coaching - which seems a waste of a feature. This is in FM22 BTW

Thank, some interesting points there. I also hope they look at improving this situation in next year's game - SI really seem to neglect this when it is actually a crucial part of the game for many people.

I'd settle for just boosting the average CA / PA of players coming through as they're just terrible. I just don't understand the design choice behind making newly generated players so poor, when in real life there are hundreds of talented kids good enough to play regular top level football.

I've been very disappointed with the standard of newly generated players in my FM22 saves. There is a massive & unrealistic drop in quality between real world players aged 17-20 and those that are created by the game after 3 or 4 seasons. I'd really like to edit my game data to dramatically improve these new players so that there is a much greater probability of generating high quality young players that you get in real life. So basically I'm looking for help in achieving this through the editor. Specifically: Can you still increase the attributes and CA / PA of older players that will retire soon and ensure a good chance they will come back as a wonderkid? Will increasing each countries "youth rating" as well as "game importance" in the editor ensure a better overall quality of new player - or does this simply assign how they are distributed among the countries with no improvement in actual ability? Is there any other editing I can do to boost newly generated players? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

Hi, I quite like to dabble with amateur programming and I was wondering what is involved in making my own editor for editing FM data and / or save data. I'm sure I've read something about it in the past, possibly involving hex editing? Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get started with this? Many thanks
