    as per PM glad its fixed for you now using the above workaround

    it does seem to be that  cycle happens with a new version of the editor and it gets fixed xmas/new year a bit bizarre really

    licensed leagues have fixtures loaded by SI  overriding the results

    you need to remove them in advanced rules

    look for any entries here -league fixtures

    it may show (0) fixtures but it is hidden somewhere that the editor cant display.. it needs to be cleared/deleted

    click on it and select clear

    save file and test once all leagues are checked

    NB some leagues have multiple sets of rules for a competition  named eg default/Euro teams etc you need to check all these to see if the fixtures are entered there and remove them

    go into advanced rules and clear the entries there its what I originally suggested was the issue-

    ''The issue I believe is this-

    all leagues apart from EPL have league fixtures set up for 2023 but they are totally blank

    suggesting the actual fixtures are hard coded and somewhere else we cannot access

    when I remove those blank league fixtures, the file now in advanced rules allows England to be selected and uses my fixtures but not the reults''

    IMO the issue is the game but it could be the editor too, though we are able to create and verify the files with no issue and the game is reading these files[as the fixtures are correct so something is blocking it/overriding the results in game]

    however on starting as a national manager[only option] 

    I can see Bundesliga is using the fixtures so the file is loaded, but the results are random

    Tried your World game mode-results do not work

    also in both the later tests/game modes  note you cannot use the nations with edited nation rule files added when you get to try to pick a club to manage they are greyed out

    The fix is to start unemployed then add a second manager you can select a team then

     

    very buggy editor/game this year

    FYI mate I tried setting England as non foreign  but didnt work[havent tried since 24.2 update though]

    Hi all

    This is very frustrating all round, I have stated it is probably more so now as it is fixed:(

    but @Zachary Whyte has been the only person from SI to respond and be honest with us

    Its a case of 'dont shoot the messenger' the decision not to add it to the last update/missing the update wasnt down to him he just posted that information he didnt have to.

    I am sure this will be resolved with a hotfix etc

    The good news is its fixed fingers crossed a release this week:)

    but the issue as I report cant be fixed?

    I do not want to add England back into EU[I want to add Wales/Scotland/N Ireland] but I do want to impose restrictions on England not being able to sign more than 1 non EU player per season

    if I attempt this English players are shown as foreign[non EU]

    If a caveat could be added to exclude England as per something like this

    with the foreign players rule

    so add Non-EU Players except England[UK]

    It doesnt need to be tested in editor I have removed that option totally

    because the editor testing option is too buggy mate[you can get endless random errors testing continental rules like no squad selected for a lower scottish team fixture-nothing to do with continental rules] and the failed test result you have isnt correct as both comps havent been edited and there is no issue with them in game

    However There is a workaround been working with  @Samuel77 on it

    thanks to him for his input

    and find you can bypass the normal fixture rules-squad selection 

    you dont need to add any via the nation/continent as normal

    do it in the actual competition here

    However would you believe there is another bug;)

    when you try to tick enabled here-squad selection rules it wont allow it[those 6 unsaved changes in image below are me ticking the enabled box]

    but I found a fix[mate the editor is so frustrating:brock:]

    I went to FM23 opened a file there activated the tick box to enabled added the rules I wanted-imported that file into FM24 editor

    opened it copied those entries

    Then re opened the Anglo Celtic Cup file and pasted the rules...phew hard work

    in game the 'trial' rules are working as intended, got this working for continental rule changes I make it may be of interest to you  and SI 

    and I want to help/assist make this a better product there are several of us who make fixes/workarounds and share with the community with things like this

    but unless there is a hotfix/patch soon that could mean 24.3 update which is February ?

    this is fixed so an update can surely be released solely to the editor ?

    because I/we are back in limbo as there is no time frame as to when this will be released

    There are many in the community here with years of experience editing

    in advanced/basic rules and have tried engaging with SI previously with no joy

    why dont they have those users properly Beta testing the editor ?

    Then there should also be clear feedback before the product is released on what has been fixed from previous versions/new features added and what is bugged, because as it is now it needs to be addressed

    I dont think that is SI Games you tagged mate

    it is just some random user who perhaps shouldnt be allowed to even use that as a profile name:)

     

    To the staff who may read this-

    Really poor service to paying customers who are only trying to engage politely in a constructive way, and have tried previously with SI ;)

    To The crux of the matter -

    Is this an issue that is likely to be fixed soon,if so we will wait to start a save

    or a long term problem, it was reported over 3 weeks ago[if so users may as well start a save rather than wait] that you are struggling to fix- what is wrong with just answering this and having dialogue with your customers?:confused:
