  1. I don't believe it has anything to do with personality. Not from what I can gather. I Have had professional personalities say the exact thing as someone that is fickle. And that ranges from a Breakthrough prospect to a squad player who I am trying to give some extra minutes to.

I personally believe it is something that was implemented incorrectly. There really doesn't seem to be any other reasoning for it.

There has to be some circumstances where a player would have rather stayed on the bench. E.G a Regular starter or Important player coming on in the 60th minute of a game you are leading 3-0 when there is no real need to risk them. But even then in real life a player would likely be thankful for some game time, Unless of course that player is a mercenary or someone disgruntled at being benched to give someone else some game time (But we don't know if this is a factor in the game)
But for a player who is a squad player/breakthrough prospect/fringe player/backup - You would expect any of these to be appreciative of any playing time they can get, but they never are.

I'll have to take a look at what Warlock has said and talk to the players before subbing them on and see if this improves things.

So Saudis come in for VVD in season one for £110 million (£68 mil in hand) i do reject and he go's bananas. Save already ruined cause he turns the whole squad against me :D

:seagull: Yes, I hate the Saudi league. It's kinda ruined the immersion of the game at times. Especially with the silly wages. I love when they bid silly money for my 3rd choice CB or Striker etc though

    Got a screenshot?

Here he is on an older save I found.. He's 28 not signed for a top European side, went to Saudi. Looks likely to be closer to low/mid range of his p.a on this save. And not done much in terms of  G/A either. But still looks decent.

Oh boy, how did that happen?

Yes, @kopfan1977… in 2007/08 Derby County achieved 11 points from 38 Premier League matches - one win, eight draws, and a lot of defeats.

No idea how they've managed to be so bad. They've spent a fair chunk of money over the past 2 seasons..

£3.5m in league one. Gained promotion.

£8.5m in first season back in championship. Solidified their position.

£35m in 3rd season - (£22.5m of this was 2 agreed transfers at end of season)

Then a further £28.5m first season back in Prem.

In this period there have been no significant outgoings signing wise. They will however have a side more than capable of going back up. They'll likely keep some of that squad due to them being loans that have since been made permanent.

Anyone had any success with inverted wingbacks?

Trent never seems to do anything when i use him as iwb support. Yet on wingback support he seems much more involved in the play and getting assists.

Nope, On the only save I did with LFC (only got through one season before giving it up) I had Bradley at RB - He has fantastic speed and if given chances he develops amazingly. And had moved Trent to CM as DLP

  6. I feel like the loan system is broken..

Reason for feeling this is when I look at a player that is 'Loan' listed and feel he would strengthen my team. No soon as I look to bring him in on loan the Ai immediately is demanding £150k playing fee, £150k loan fee (Figures will vary) and also want all wages paid for both playing and non playing. As well as wanting some kind of bonus dependant on either being promoted/not relegated/winning some kind of cup.

Then on the other hand if I list a player for loan the AI will generally bid £0 loan fee for both playing/non playing and also want to pay none of the player in questions wages. Try and negotiate this and they immediately withdraw from negotiations.

I've even tried to do loans on final day of the window as demands sometimes go away, but for some reason on the current save none of the teams are budging on their demands towards me, yet when another Ai controlled team comes in for that player he usually goes for way way less than what the Ai is asking of me. All this despite me offering guaranteed first team football.

Anyone have any insight into why it's sooooooo bad.

Also as a minor footnote. Quite a few times over various saves Clubs have offered first team football for one of my players only to then not even play him thus stagnating his progress. This really does need fixing.

  7. £6m release clause at RKC

    Please, Thanks, Bye.

This lad is coming straight into my first team squad, First he'll be my Inverted fullback. Then in about 3 seasons time when he's starting to hopefully hit his potential he'll be shifted over to become the cornerstone of my defence. Few things to work on, but he'll become a legend.

What type of player do you sugest to play as CF @knap?

It's so hard to find players for that position that have good ratings

Calvert Lewin, Beto, Sesko, Pio Esposito (With some training from young) should be good enough. My go to striker this year is Pio Esposito, with  sufficient training he can become a beast.

Edit: I forgot Scamacca - easily one of the next best available, bit pricey though at £50-80m

    Hi guys,

I'm manager of Man U. and because (it seems) all my squads train at the same faciliites I am able to

    • assign u21 coaches to train u18 players
    • first team coaches to train u21
    • u21 coaches to train first team

In this case I have a lot of coaches to choose from when going to the "Edit coach assignments" on each of the teams.

My question is then the following:

If I have e.g., a u21 coach with 20 "Working with youngsters" and a first team coach with 8 "Working with youngsters" both assigned to the same category on my u21 training setup but the first coach overall rating for the category is better, which of the "Working with youngsters" attributes is then taken into consideration by the game?

Phrased in another way - does a secondary coach - who is not leading the category - contribute anything to the overall quality of the training or does he simply help bring down the workload?

Id like to think that any and all coaches assigned per category attribute to the overall quality of training as well as helping with the workload.

  10. I know Wilson doesn't have AML on his positions but he's definitely a good option to stick out on the left as a standard winger throwing bombs onto the top of Kieffer's head, Not sure how he'd play though. On the opposite side side You've got James to do the same with Johnson as a PF. I believe you also have the likes of Matondo and Brooks for backup till some crazy good regens come through.

Alternatively a 4-2-3-1 with 2 CM, IF or IW on both Sides, AP behind big Kieffer with more direct passing and more crossing.

Us Welsh don't have an embarrassment of riches, but they have guts and determination by the bucketload (Normally). I've never done an all Welsh squad from the get go, Only ever tried it after a good few seasons into the game as the youth that is coming through right now (in game) isn't the greatest.

I feel inspired now to do an all Welsh club!

Just quoting to emphasise this. A young player/regen is worth investing time in almost irrespective of skill if they have the attributes you list. If they have good natural fitness as well then they are almost certainly going to be useful. I like this structure as I think it fits very well with real life. Highly skilled kids are two a penny. Highly skilled kids who are physically well developed make it to age group teams. But it's the ones who have the mental side as well who make it into the adult game.

Ravel Morrison springs to mind. Ability in abundance. But mentality was shocking. Jordan Ibe another. Burst onto the scene, Failed at Liverpool as he wasn't putting enough into his development, went to Bournemouth, then lower and lower down the league pyramid.

Just signed him in my Benfica save. He did cost £12m because Milan found him first for £1.4m but they haven't used him, so I brought him in. He's 18 in my save too, and must have a high random PA because my scouts rate him at 5 stars and recommended me to sign him as a priority.

He's signed for Bayern IRL hasn't he... Another bargain wonderkid gone :(
