  1. - Starting keeper (Mattheus) was pulled at the half due to poor performance for backup keeper - Backup keeper (Abe) broke hand at 51 minutes; as there was no additional GK on the bench, an outfield player was used - Match report claimed that Oyewale (the outfield player) was used in goal despite having the stand-in on the substitute's bench (which there wasn't, as Mattheus couldn't be put back in goal) I have the save game saved; having issues getting the upload to work, but I will get it up there when possible.
  2. So in the previous versions of FM, I've always been able to see and apply to the youth international jobs. For some reason in my current save in FM24 the only international jobs that show up in the Job Security screen are the senior teams; spot checking some of the youth spots it seems like none of them have been sacked yet (I'm 5 years in). Is there something you need to do to enable them or is something just acting up in my save?
  3. Looks like it’s still present in the live game. I set up a save for Cork City post-relegation and had Shams bid €520k for Keating and Hakkinen after I was promoted; I could see maybe the €120k that they bid for Hakkinen being the going price for Keating, but €400k for a 29 year old LOI striker and paying 6x for Hakkinen what they just paid for Honohan feels very off.
  4. The Independent is still referring to him as interim: https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/league-of-ireland/it-kills-a-lot-of-the-boys-but-maybe-not-all-of-them-holland-heartbroken-as-cork-city-digest-pain-of-another-relegation/a822262752.html
  5. It’s not showing up in the Pregame Editor you can download from Steam; this might be more Editor bugs than database then (there seems to be a lot of them this year).
  6. Two other minor issues: - The nickname - The Rebel Army - seems to be missing at least based on the editor - The team's standard hashtag is #CCFC84
  7. Apparently what the “new” Shelbourne owners would have decided to do doesn’t matter; they’ve left. https://www.msn.com/en-ie/sports/football/damien-duff-set-to-stay-at-shelbourne-as-turkish-owner-agrees-to-leave/ar-AA1jBbLC
  8. Given the fight they’ve shown under him vs Buckley or Healy, I’m hoping he still is the manager next year. Usher hasn’t said a word other than that he’s in charge of the first team until the end of the year though.
  9. I’d argue that announcing that Holland is the manager for only the last half dozen matches is by definition an interim manager.
  10. Admittedly the Transfermarkt data for League of Ireland clubs is... lacking, but typically there's only a few fee-based transfer arrivals within the League a year. In the full Transfermarkt database there's 14 examples of 25k plus Euro transfers in the 25 plus years of data they have for the League. I'm seeing 6 in the second winter transfer window of my current beta save there's 6 cases there alone (only one of which is me), in addition to 8 in the first year of the save. There also seems to be fewer transfers from the League of Ireland to England than would be expected (no fee based transfers to England, only one to Scotland).
  11. Save game and screenshots attached, currently in the preseason of the second season. Won the FAI Cup (Irish Senior Challenge Cup in game), so I will be in the Irish President's Cup; the Home Screen claims I've lost when it hasn't even been "draw" yet.
  12. Thank you for the clarification regarding staff. Richie Holland I think is still just acting manager through the end of the season (replacing Liam Buckley); there’s been no announcement of a permanent first team manager since Colin Healy was let go.
  13. Note: This is using a "Your World" save. - The link to Preston North End should be removed for FM24. This was based on the purchase option that Grovemoor (the owners of Preston) had for Cork City; when Dermot Usher bought the club that purchase option was removed. - Starting in January 2023, the assistant manager should be Richie Holland (he's currently acting first team manager in October 2023). Declan Coleman is a coach, not the assistant manager. - Liam Buckley was signed as DOF end of April/beginning of May 2023; previously it was vacant. - The "sign from domestic rivals" applied more when it was a member owned club under FORAS rather than under Usher; out of the transactions since he took over only 4 signings have been domestic (Owolabi, Drinan, Oran Crowe from a third tier team, and the Varian loan). https://www.transfermarkt.com/cork-city-fc/transfers/verein/27774/plus/?saison_id=2023&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= https://www.transfermarkt.com/cork-city-fc/transfers/verein/27774/plus/?saison_id=2022&pos=&detailpos=&w_s= - Turner's Cross maximum capacity is 7365 (source at bottom, from Wayback Machine version of Cork City's website); currently listed in game as 7366 with 7365 seated and in use.
  14. Also had to clear out the pandemic era "no winner" entries for a few of the cups as that apparently led to it only finding 10 or 11 eligible teams.
  15. Looks like the issue is I had my criteria for qualified teams duplicated between the cup itself and for Europe (probably from when it was set to Basic Rules). Between that and making sure the use runner up as backup for the league cups seems to have fixed it.
  16. I'm attempting to recreate the Setanta Cup (which was an all Ireland competition that was last held in 2014). The eligible teams should be: - Winner of the FAI Cup - Winner of the League of Ireland Cup (which I also brought back in a second separate edited file, in this file it's just marked as Active but that doesn't seem to be the problem) - Winner of the Irish Cup (Northern Ireland) - Winner of the Irish League Cup (Northern Ireland) - The top 4 teams from the League of Ireland Premier Division (that haven't qualified otherwise) - The top 4 teams from the Danske Bank Premiership (that haven't qualified otherwise) For some reason the editor is very insistent that I have 13 teams in the competition, but I can't figure out why. I removed the League of Ireland Cup and incremented the LOI PD allowance to 5 to see if that would clear the error, but it did not (I suspected that moving it from inactive had caused a problem). I even removed all the cup winners and set it to 6 from each league and it still said I had 13. I'm probably missing something very stupid, but I'm stumped. Setanta Cup.fmf
  17. Uploaded as "Derry News Error.fm"; this save is from about 1 day before the news item (but there's no games or anything so it should be quick to get to the error).
  18. Wrong screenshot in the first post for historical position, but it's still an incorrect news item. They came in third in 2022 and second in 2023 (they were fifth in 2024).
  19. Derry City is shown as being on track for their best ever finish in the news item (they're currently fifth in the Premier Division); the prior four years in the save they came first, first, second, second. It also shows that Cork City is on track for their worst finish since finishing second in 2023, which is technically true but is a very strange way of saying they're on track for finishing in first? I have a copy of the save immediately prior to this message (~1 day).
  20. Doing some experimentation this seems to occur when your scouting budget hits zero. I'm thinking the logic may be "you have no scouting budget, why do you need scouts?" I had this happen on a save in the last few weeks of the season, I'm seeing what happens when the calendar rolls over now.
  21. I have the same bug (I had Kim Bergstrand show up). I've attached my save using your cloud link, file name is: "Jimmy O'Driscoll - Cork City.fm"
  22. Thank you for your help! I figured it had to be something obvious like that, but I think I had been staring at it too long to catch it.
  23. I've been working on setting up a unified league pyramid for the UK and Ireland, and while it's still a work in progress it's working well except for one thing: The bottom tier, despite being marked as active and validating successfully, is not playable. The structure of the pyramid is as follows: Premier League of the Isles relegates to Championship of the Isles Championship of the Isles relegates to League One of the Isles A (England and Wales) and League One of the Isles B (Scotland and Ireland). League One of the Isles A relegates to League Two of the Isles A (Wales and western local regions of England) and League Two of the Isles B (eastern local regions of England) League One of the Isles B relegates to League Two of the Isles C (Ireland) and League Two of the Isles D (Scotland). Everything I've listed to this point is working and playable. The tier that does not work is the one below it, which is a grouping named National Leagues of the Isles, each of which corresponds to one of the League Two divisions. They show up as the proper league in game, and the relegation and promotion to these leagues works in the simulation mode, but they're not selectable in the game and when you simulate the pyramid in the editor, there are no games played. I found some forum posts with similar issues, but they generally either did not resolve the problem or they were old enough that the attachments were deleted. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? FMF file is attached below. League & Data Updates - British Isles Super League.fmf
