The main issue is that players signed from Scottish clubs like Turnbull, Bain and Taylor don’t count as from the nation. You have to start signing English trained players to fill the quota.

Had another look at this today. You can edit Celtic to remove the b side and add an u23 side instead which you can move into one of the English u23 divisions. It is also interesting to see how the spl does without celtic and rangers. In my FM23 save it was very competitive with the title bouncing around between Hibs , Hearts and Aberdeen.

I edit the DB every year to do this. Add Celtic and Rangers to the EPL and relegate 2 teams downwards through the championship, division 1 and 2. The two teams that leave division 2 don’t get allocated to any league. Its’s the opposite in Scotland. Promote 2 teams upwards with two junior sides entering division 2. The only issues are the youth teams don’t have a league for the first season. In the second season you get an invite to join the English u23 system. You also get to play in the Scottish league cup in the first season so there is a bit of fixture congestion.

Finding it a wee bit easy too. Beating domestic teams 5 and 6 nil and beat Motherwell 9-1. I also beat PSV 2-1 away and pumped Bayern Munich 4-0 at Celtic Park. 4 of the goals over those games came from opposing players passing straight to Kyogo leaving him with only the keeper to beat. Got to love the high press…..

What happened to Kyogo? Did you sell him ? Started my Celtic save and it’s going well so far. Rangers have imploded with 4 defeats and two draws after 11 games. I have won all mine apart from a 2-1 defeat at Ibrox. Lost to 89th and 93rd minute corners after going down to 10 men when Hatate broke his leg…. Managed to beat Arsenal 2-1 in the CL and just had an epic 4-4 draw with PSV so have 4 points after 3 games. Managed to get Kyogo to sign a contract extension. Do the board give you more money for the January transfer window?

I would say my team is better than the teams I am losing to in the big finals. For example I lost the FA cup final to Man City who I finished 3 places above in the league and who were without an injured Haaland. In the CL final I lost on pens to AC Milan who I had beat comfortably in the league stage. I lost that one on penalties after conceding a 117th minute equaliser.... Gutted....

I am playing as Celtic in the English Premiership. I am 6 seasons in and doing well. I have won the EPL twice and the league cup 3 times. However out of 3 FA cup finals I have only won 1 and I am 0 from 2 in champions league finals. Do you change your tactics for big finals e.g move to a low block and change some players from attacking to support or do you stick to your principles and go with the same tactic that got you to the final. I have tried both methods….. Interested to hear what others do….

There is an option to take control of arranging B team fixtures.

I am having one of my most enjoyable saves after I moved Celtic and Rangers into the English Championship in the data editor. As Celtic I won the championship with Rangers being promoted in 2nd place. It is now 2030 and I have won the EPL twice the Champions League three times the Europa League once the World Club Championship once and the FA and League cups twice also. Rangers lasted 2 seasons in the EPL and then got relegated. They then got promoted and relegated again and are now mid table in the championship. The Celtic board have built me a new 77,000 capacity stadium called Patsy Gallagher Park that I have just moved into. Best signings have been Jude Bellingham and Dusan Vlahovic who has scored 30 plus goals a season for 5 years. I play a narrow, short passing, high tempo 4-1-3-2. Youth system is excellent with 5 of my match day squad coming through the ranks.
