  1. Final Year I have decided this will be my final year at Lynx and I will be moving on to another nation to see if I can build that up as well! I have loaded Ireland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Latvia!
  2. Season 2035-36 Results Back to an unbeaten season for us! League Table A comfortable league win! Pepe Reyes Cup A very entertaining game to start the season! Rock Cup We needed extra time to overcome Europa FC in the final! Champions League Qarabag we comfortably knocked out in the qualifiers before winning 4 and drawing 2 of our 8 games This sent us through in 11th spot and we drew our old nemesis in Inter! An unbelievable game in the first leg as we came from 4-1 down to draw 4-4 before sending them packing in the 2nd leg 3-1! That meant we drew Villa (again) in the last 16! We won both legs here and played some really nice attacking football which sent us through to play another English side in Spurs! We lost away from home 2-1 but showed enough in that game to mean I was positive about the return leg. The scoreline was probably more than we deserved but we were clinical with our finishing sending us through to the semi finals against PSG! Well PSG helped us a lot here by imploding in the first leg. They were down to 9 men after 27mins and we ran riot winning 6-1. They came back at us in the 2nd leg and were 3 up at half time but the Champion goal on the 68th minute meant we were through to our 2nd final and hopefully we could go 1 better this year! YESSSSS! We did it! A very tight game was essentially decided by Champions League top goalscorer in Champion! He went on to miss a penalty and they pulled one back with 10mins left but we held on for ours and Gibraltar's first ever CL trophy! Transfers Out A few bigger names leaving here. Wiziack we previously mentioned and Savvidis and Lazenbury also joined him. These 2 I didnt really want to sell either but they kicked off when I rejected offers so brought some money in for them! In 5 players brought in for the future (and 1 in this summer). Bareille, Egloff, Hartmann and Kaszok all got game time this season in the league to aid development Player Of The Season - Jordan Champion It couldnt be anyone else! He scored 17 goals in 18 CL games which led us to our first ever title! Young Player Of The Season- Stergios Alibrantis A potential superstar here in Alibrantis who I wasnt really planning on utilising but his ridiculous progress in training meant he played 29 times scoring 11 goals and getting 14 assists! European Rankings & Coefficients
  3. Gone The board accepted what I believe to be a pitiful offer for a player of his calibre and there was nothing I could do. He was our key player and whilst we do have some good prospects coming through they are nowhere near his level.
  4. TV Rights We are up to £7.45m now in TV rights. Great to see!
  5. Season 2034-35 Results We lost 2 games this season! Other than that goals goals goals! League Table Pepe Reyes Cup Magpies gave us a bit of a scare but we won in the end! Rock Cup Another cup win to put in the trophy cabinet! Champions League Comfortable qualification which led us into the league phase. 3 wins and 2 draws. Was it enough to make it out? It was as we finished in 17th spot and drew Milan in the next round! 2 great performances against Milan meant we went through to play City. We drew at home and too the lead away and were heading for the quarter finals when City equalised in the 93rd minute before knocking us out in extra time! Transfers Out A few of those who were no longer required due to other players becoming homegrown. We got some nice money in and loaned a few players out for some game time! In Not many brought in over the season with the last 2 actually coming in for the new season. Marquez though was a big signing coming into a position we didnt have much ability in left back. What a player he is going to be! Those mentals and physicals are already off the charts and the technicals look great as well! Player Of The Season - Jordan Champion A good season for Champion scoring 19 goals in 18 starts! Young Player Of The season - Raul Burgos Got some really valuable game time this season playing 10 times scoring 9 goals and getting 4 assists! Gibraltar In Europe Magpies They had an amazing performance against Olympiakos battering them 6-1 on aggregate before Galatasaray knocked them out. Unfortunately in the league phase of the Europa League they didnt even manage to get a point and finished rock bottom! Glacis Utd 2 really tough draws here so wasnt expecting too much! Lincoln Red Imps Disappointing here. Poor result from the Imps Europa FC A tight game against the Norweigans but they went out 2-1 on aggregate Gibraltar Rankings & Coefficients Up into the top 20 now which is great! We stay in 13th although looks like there could be some movement next season! Cyprus the surprise in the save thus far!
  6. Thanks for reading sir! Good luck with your save as well! If you arent posting it elsewhere on the forum happy to be kept updated in here! I think the national side is my next step. I have had a lot of the young players I brought to Lynx change their nationality to Gibraltarian so the national team is definitely better than it normally would have but has struggled massively! They have been nowhere near qualification for any tournaments and outside of an amazing draw at home to Germany they have only beaten San Marino, Azerbaijan and Liechtenstein in around 11 years! Aye that would definitely make it handy at the start. As 5 players is a lot initially with the calibre of players in the nation! It's been my first real chance to do a nation type building save with the new dynamics in FM24. Definitely stick with it as I am enjoying it a lot!
  7. I think that run was a run off currently. I would say we can get to the group stages comfortable now but the big sides are just too much for us on a normal basis! The team is young and has a lot of potential and most are locked down into decent contracts with extensions but big clubs are circling for some! It will be nice to see the other clubs get into the group stages more as well!
  8. Season 2033-34 Results We lost on the opening day but bounced back well! League Table Up to 11 titles now! Pepe Reyes Cup A comfortable way to start the season! Rock Cup It was a tighter than expected final but we won again! Champions League We qualified comfortably! We made it to the knockouts again where we got Milan! It wasnt to be this year as we went out in the first knockout stage! Transfers Out In Player Of The Season - Sergio Great season by Sergio with 8 goals and 10 assists in 22 games! Young Player Of The Season - Jordan Ortiz Great breakthrough season for Ortiz with 6 goals and 6 assists Gibraltar In Europe Europa FC They were close in getting in after a great 2nd leg in Norway but it wasnt to be! Magpies Poor from Magpies Lincoln Red Imps Finally the Imps turned up and qualified for the group stages where they were a single goal away from making the knockout stage Gibraltar Rankings & Coefficients
  9. Season 2032-33 Results We lost a game this season but apart from that it was plain sailing! League Table Another comfortable title win! Pepe Reyes Cup Nice way to start the season! Rock Cup A lot of rotation here but we win the Rock Cup again! Champions League Qualification into the league phase was comfortable and 5 wins out of 8 including a great win over Man City ensured a 12th place finish! In the knockout round 2 very tight games was settled by penalties. We won 7-6 and progressed to play our nemesis in Inter! In the 2nd leg we hung on a bit and it went to penalties again. Again we were ready for this and knocked Inter out! Well we managed to someone come away with only a 1 goal deficit and the 2nd leg PSG imploded having 2 players sent off as we went on to win 4-1 and go through to the semi final You might think this is a good draw but Villa were runners up last season and won it in 2029! But in the away leg we constantly hit them on the break and come away with a 3-1 win before playing smartly in the 2nd leg and coming away with another win to send us to the CL final! Unfortunately it was a step too far for us. We were being competitive until Sergio was sent off. Barca took control from then and 2 goals was enough to win it for them! Transfers Out In Player Of The Season - Danilo Anzolut We decided to look at the free transfer market this season as we are now fairly comfortable with homegrown players! One of them we brought in was Anzolut who has been fantastic. 13 goals and 19 assists in just 18 (3) games! Young Player Of The Season - Pierre Wiziack Always liked the look of him and he plays in that DM role very well. 12 goals and 12 assists in 33 games for us! Gibraltar In Europe Europa FC Nice to see they were able to win a tie against Cluj but a really disappointing home leg against AZ all but sealed their fate Lincoln Red Imps The Imps managed to get past both Zeljeznicar and Brondby before a huge win away at AIK. However in typical Imps style they fell apart in the home leg! Magpies Again nice to see them get through a few rounds and similar to Imps they positioned themselves in a great position for the 2nd leg only to fall apart as well! Gibraltar Coefficients & Rankings We are now a 3 star league which is good to see. Up another 10 places to 28th in the rankings! This is another really good positive for the league. We should now be able to get others into the league phase now of a European competition!
  10. So it's 3 years for that. Thats why I really targeted 18 year olds for the first few years to ensure I was covered.
  11. Season 2031-32 Results A nearly perfect season with only 1 draw! Goals galore and a comfortable league win! League Table It was comfortable in the end! Pepe Reyes Cup A tight game was separated by the Nelles goal a day before his release clause was triggered! Rock Cup Mons Calpe provided some tough opposition but 3 clean sheets and another Rock Cup in the bag! Champions League Linfield (a club I was a season ticket holder for as a boy) made it really difficult for us and when looking into the league it seems like they are really starting to become much more competitive in competing in European competion! St Pats and Legia where more straightforward. In the league phase we won 3 games and lost 5. A 95th minute goal away to Rennes and a 93rd minute goal at home to Liverpool really cost us. A single point against either of those sides would have seen us qualify! Transfers Out A lot to unpack here. Some loans need game time and where sent out. Also where I could I am trying to help out other Gibraltarian clubs by selling or loaning them players with no fewer than 9 going this season! In terms of big sales Nelles' release clause was met and Pinto wanted to leave to after I turned an initial bid down. The rest of the players had stagnated and even those who were home grown now were no longer required. We really tried to trim the squad down after years of farming younger players! In Wiziack I love the look off. We really needed better quality in centre midfield and I think he really provides this. I think his PA is slightly misleading as my staff arent the greatest but I think he has everything we need. Another midfielder brought in with huge potential. The change in strategy to bring in less players each window but with better quality and potential is shaping up nicely! And another centre midfielder completes the trio signed in January. I love the look of him again and is more suited further up the pitch than the others. Player Of The Season - Brayan Martinez A really good season for Martinez who got 7 goals and 13 assists with a 7.81 rating this season! Young Player Of The Season - Hobie Hoedemakers Another youngster who I gave game time to was Hoedemakers and he repaid that faith with 4 goals and 10 assists in just 15 appearances! Gibraltar In Europe Magpies My former player in Offer did his best to try and get Magpies into the league phase but a late goal in the home leg ensured Aberdeen went through instead Glacis Utd A disappointing performance here as they were comfortable beaten by Sarajevo! Lincoln Red Imps They did the hard work away from home digging in and picking up a draw only to capitulate in the home leg. Very disappointing! Gibraltar Coefficients & Rankings Up to 38th now. We started in 114th! We move up to 18th spot from 20th. Another team getting into a league phase would really help us start to push up to some of those other nations that are in and around us! Gibraltar Professional Status At one stage we were down to only 2 teams being professional in the league which was ourselves and Man 62. Since the TV rights have started to come up that has changes dramatically! Lynx - Professional Lincoln Red Imps - Professional Magpies - Professional Europa FC - Professional Manchester 62 - Professional College 1975 - Professional Glacis Utd - Professional Europa Point - Professional Mons Calpe - Professional St Joseph's - Professional Lions - Professional All clubs in the league are now professional!
  12. Squad Review Goalkeepers Lucas Ramirez Thibault Alfonsi Elias Bernal Ricardo Valdivia Ramiz Alexborov Arturo Gomez As mentioned previously we have went and targeted a lot of young players to help with the home grown rule. Ramirez and Alfonsi share the number 1 shirt and will keep rotating this season. I believe out of the others Alexborov is the one for me I think has the biggest chance. 3 of these will become homegrown next season and I think a loan move could really benefit them. Centre Backs Jason Woods Jared Heap Marcos Munoz Zoran Todorovic Federico DePuy Really only looking at those who can play in the centre back positions here. Heap and DePuy have been filling in at full back at ties but predominantly play centre back. Munoz & DePuy tend to be our starting 2 but Heap does rotate quite a bit with these. Woods is a solid homegrown player to utilise and Todorovic is a young player with good potential. Left Backs Jonathan Brito Bessa Mustafa Handzic Brito Bessa covers on both sides of the pitch which is great and I am going to try and give a lot of game time to Handzic this season to aid his development. DePuy covers here when there are injuries or suspensions. Right Backs Leon Cochran Cochran and Brito Bessa tend to cover this position between themselves but if I need Brito Bessa on the other side then Heap can sometimes slot in to right back as well. Centre Midfield Elis Bustos Mahdi Mohammadi Teboho Nkosi Nicolas Sanchez Pablo Enrique Cengizhan Hayirhoglu I would say this is the area we are lacking in slightly in terms of current ability. Taking Simcock out of the equation as I will be utilising him further forward for the most part. Bustos and Mohammadi are the current starters but I do plan to give Sanchez a lot of game time this season. Enrique is down with the u23's but again good potential. Nkosi will be getting some rotated minutes in the first team. I think Hayirhoglu will probably leave at the end of the season. Wingers David Mercier Sergio Leonardo Luna Brayan Martinez Hobie Hoedemakers Noah Wong Lautaro Olmos Again a lot of players here but choosing those who largely spend their times on the wings. Mercier, Olmos and Hoedemakers are great young players with big potential and will get game time where possible. We are a little lighter on the left hand side but I am training a few of these to ensure both wings are better covered. Sergio our big money signing is starting on the right and we are sharing a lot of game time on the left. Strikers Nathan Simcock Anderson Caicedo Brian Moore Todd Thompson Franco Mendez Dave Knight Franco Di Gennaro Nhlakanipho Ledwaba Arian Kalantari We are so well stocked here which is why I am giving game time to some of these players in different positions. Simcock and Mendez are getting some time in centre midfield whilst Moore and Caicdeo have gotten time on the wings but are largelt strikers. Knight is going to leave and Thompson we have here for homegrown reasons currently. Ledwaba is a beast and we are going to struggle to keep him here with some good European sides circling. Kalantari I really like the look off and there are other teams chasing him as well.
  13. Season 2030/31 Results Well it wasnt perfect this year and I am hoping this is a sign of the teams around us starting to get better! League Table Despite 3 draws and 2 defeats we were still comfortably clear! Pepe Reyes Cup Another tough game here but another super cup! Rock Cup This was much more comfortable as we cruised our way to a Rock Cup! Champions League Well again it was memorable for us including an unbelievable win against PSG. On our day we can definitely beat some big teams if they arent on it themselves! Inter again our nemesis in the knockout stage Transfers Out Well a number of players left. Some as they wanted to move to bigger clubs and others because they were not developing as we hoped. I will do a squad review next season In It was more quality over quantity this time including nearly £16m on one promising youngster. Some big clubs were interested in him but we moved quickly! Player Of The Season - Nhlakanipho Ledwaba He is getting better and better. 25 goals in 21 games and a debut for his national team now as well. Young Player Of The Season - Todd Thompson (YP30A) We signed one player from our youth intake last year and we utilised him well as he is home grown. 14 goals and 9 assists in 20 games and player of the year in the league! Gibraltar In Europe Magpies Disappointing here. Derry was definitely a team they should have been more competitive with. Lincoln Red Imps Probably the biggest win for the other sides as the Imps beat AIK before losing to Trabzonspor! Europa FC A big comeback in the 2nd leg but the lottery of penalties meant this was the last step! Gibraltar Coefficients & Rankings Up another spot to 20th. If just one more club could squeeze into a group stage it would be great!
  14. As long as its not like Spain where the top 2 teams take 98% of it I will be happy! Is there a view anywhere where you can see what all teams got?
  15. Really hope this is the big step for others to start being more competitive in qualifying for the league phases in European competition.
  16. TV Rights Hello! No idea where this has came from but could this potentially be the catalyst for the others to really start improving!
  17. Season 2029-30 Results We finally got our perfect season! A couple of close calls in tight games. But with 128 goals scored and only 8 against then you can see how dominant we are League Table Miles clear! Pepe Reyes Cup More trophies! Rock Cup And a domestic treble was confirmed with a comfortable 4-0 win over the Imps! Champions League We managed to qualify for the champions league and got some very impressive results in the league phase with wins away at Bilbao and Basel and a home win over Porto which meant we want into the knockout rounds after finishing 23rd. Unfortunately Inter were much the better team despite us putting up a valiant effort. Transfers Out Nothing really to shout about here. Most of the transfers out where because of lack of development or complaining about game time. The big 2 in Robinson and Jimenez I didnt want to sell but they were upsetting the rest of the team so took a decent profit on them both. In The first season I have decided to start spending some of our budget. I have went out and scouted a load of the u21 and u18 national sides to see what I can pick up and it has really bared some fruit! Will do a proper team review when the summer transfer window shuts! Player Of The Season - Brian Moore A great season for Moore who got 18 goals and 8 assists in 25 games! Young Player Of The Season - Nhlakanipho Ledwaba One of the players I brought in in January. He finished 2nd top scorer in the league with 13 goals in 9 games! Really like the look of him. Gibraltar In Europe Lincoln Red Imps AZ result I can understand but a 2nd leg collapse against Aqtobe was very disappointing. Europa FC A decent showing from Europa here. St Josephs At least someone got through a round but Lille where simply a step too far at this stage. Gibraltar Coefficients & Rankings Up to 44th place now and league reputation of 2.5 stars! This is great news! I no longer have to scroll to see us!
  18. Making good progress but I think we are getting to a difficult area of being in a position where we are qualifying into league phases each season but the league and we do not really have the reputation to kick on with the type of player we require to push onto the next level.
  19. End Of Season Results This is unacceptable! We lost a game! League Table Comfortable league win again! Rock Cup And another cup to add to the trophy cabinet! Europa League An amazing run was ended in the quarter finals by Chelsea. Transfers Out A couple of players left us in January. Low potential and the fact we have much more home grown players means we could let them go. 3 also went out on loan for some game time! In 2 young players for the future came in as well! Player Of The Season - Bryan Dolich A great season for Dolich who got 13 goals and 19 assists this season! Young Player Of The Season - Jamie Avellano (YP28A) Not the greatest player but was used a fair bit this season as he was homegrown and he had a great return with 2 goals and 15 assists! Gibraltar Coefficients We have moved up into the top 50 now! We have moved up another 4 spots to 24th! I think this is where it is going to get much more difficult unless others can start doing better!
