Getting towards the end of my first season at Needham Market and sitting rock bottom in 24th place
. Not too many points to make it impossible, but not looking great either.
I have brought in some new players though and I'm feeling optimistic.

Episode 4 now up.
I'm really struggling with this save in a way that I haven't for a while! Can't buy a win at the moment, and without using the pre-set tactics I'm sinking far quicker than I would've hoped.
This save might end up being on the shorter side

Arsenal. Their squad is all over the place in terms of quality.
Will be interesting to see how players like Saka, Holding and Nketiah are rated in the game.... I'm guessing not highly.

I've just started making content on Youtube, but I don't think having it on here is a good idea for the reasons mentioned before. I like this as a place to come to read a long form approach with more detail. There's SO much on Youtube already that if creators started posting it here and getting viewers from it, it would honestly get flooded pretty quickly.

I think that's sort of what I'm aiming for. You have to remember that I use an IR button so because I don't actually play the games, I'm going to have to find some other content to go in the video's other than the matches, (because there won't be any matches). Of course I could show highlights, but that's just going to be goals and will make for a very short video.
I think I'm right in saying that while there isn't a minimum length of video, but also that for them to be effective they need to be at least 20 minutes long. When a lot of FM YouTube videos contain little else except the matches, it's obviously not going to be easy to get to 20 mins without the matches. That obviously means that I'm going to have to find different content to the norm to do this. As mentioned before, this is likely to be me gabbering on about the similar sort of inane rubbish that I prattle on about in my thread.
After looking through your Irchester thread I had similar thoughts to you about a series and ended up having a go. I did a pretty experimental series with Roda and the challenge was definitely what not to include. I wanted the episodes to fly by so you get into the future quicky... but then if you have an unexpected Cup Semi-Final it seems like shame not to show it...
I have to say, it's my favourite series so far. I feel like it was something different and like you said I haven't seen anything similar yet. It has the least views but the most engagement by watchers so I think there's a niche of people out there that are looking for it. I'm definitely going to do another for FM21.
Personally, I would love to see a video form of the written stuff that you do! A lot of Youtube series feel pretty same-y to me so anybody taking a fresh approach is always good to see.

New series here - youth only save based in Holland. I'm having a lot of fun with this one!
Jumping through the seasons quickly = 2-3 eps per season to focus on how youngsters develop in the game with lots of first team football. Some interesting results too..

Parfait Guiagon - Monaco - £11m - He wanted to move to a bigger club and Monaco made me the best for him. Good luck to the lad. I hope to bring him back at some point.
Birk Risa - Bournemouth - £9M - Excellent left back who I signed for £875k and got 10 times what I paid for him. It was a no brainer.
I got a good offer for Risa and needed to think about the clubs finances. I also have Souleymane Diaby who I wanted to give more game time who can play as left back.
Bingorou Kamara - Shabab Al-Ahii - £4.9m - He was my first team GK but I felt like a changed was needed and more quality was needed in the short term but I will be looking for a good young GK to build for the future.
Adama Traore - FC Metz - £1m - Signed him on a free last summer but barely played so I got rid of him.
I also got rid of a few other players for less then a £1m each but not worth mentioning.
Transfers In
Lisandru Tramoni - 19 year old French Right Winger. Best role is Inverted Winger which suits my tactics. My DOF signed him from Ajaccio for £4.3m. I have sent him on loan to Stade Reims.
Mama Balde - 26 year old Bissau-Guinean winger, Can play anywhere on the right and also up front as a striker. Best role is a Winger. I signed him from Dijon for £2m.
Anthony Rouault - 21 year old French central defender. Looks very good with good Jumping Reach, Anticipation and Passing. Signed from Toulouse for £1.9m.
Hugo Lloris - A free transfer signing from Spurs. Still only 35 years old with 122 caps for France. I couldn't ask for a better signing in goal. Also has a Model Citizen personality. He will be a good mentor to the other players and has a lot of experience and still an excellent goalie even at 35.
Bertrand Traore - Free transfer signing from Lyon. Another quality player and only 26 years old so coming into his prime years. I am looking forward to see him speeding down the wing.
Luka Ilic - Free transfer from Man City - Not good enough for Man City but seems good enough for me so far playing in 3 games so far. He can in most positions in midfield and up front. Hopefully I can either create a good player in him or at least sell him for profit.
Only played 4 games but unbeaten so far with 2 wins and 2 draws.
Loving the buy low, sell high transfer approach here. Good stuff. Just need that European push now!

@Ronaldo Beckham I was just taking a look at your tactics - I reckon you could split this into two different approaches cos there might be a bit of mixed messaging with those instructions.
1) More possession based: with play out of defence, distribute to defenders and balanced. Maybe WBITB. Remove run at defence
2) More direct: with run at defence, add counter, default passing. Remove play out of defence or distribute to defenders (so keeper goes long sometimes).
Could play the possession one when you feel you are favourites and more direct when you aren't.

Just had a read about your Monaco save - interesting that you didn't have to bother about FFP, maybe I'll just ignore it next season and see what happens.
I also noticed you signed a lot of players from Africa for Strasbourg, made me curious about why then I read the rules and realised they count as EU players in France. Huge revelation haha - scouting the whole continent now

Hey guys!
My name is Jake and I'm from Australia, been playing this game every year as long as I can remember. I've finally decided to turn playing 1000s of hours of FM each year into something a little more creative
. I'm pretty decent at the game and like one-club saves to try and build up a bit of story, if it sounds like your kind of thing come and check it out .
I made a pretty lengthy series with Wigan Athletic first up to get a handle on making FM videos - a lot of little technical things made it a lot harder than I realised!
My second series is just beginning: it's with A.S. Monaco and so far has been a massive struggle as (I think) I need to sell all of my players to abide by FFP? It's all a little confusing...
I think this series is a big jump in quality and at the level that I'm happy to share it now to try and get a few more people watching.
Give it a watch if you've got a sec, and I'm very open to feedback as I'm still finding my feet!

Hi all!
I've also just started a save with Monaco - loving it so far but have one big concern....
Can anyone tell me what their experience with FFP and Monaco is? From the beginning of the save we've been in the red for the three year period and I keep getting reminders to sell players. I've done my best to get it under control - sold Fabregas, Subasic, Jemerson, Jovetic, Maripan and about 10 youngsters but I CANNOT get it to drop far enough.
Does the board step in at the end of the season and make everything okay? It seems like others in this thread have spent big money in the first season?
I'd hate to finish top 3 and not get Europe...
