I've had success on FM20 with the following:
PFa PFs
MEZs DLPd MEZa
WBa WBs
BPDd CDc BPDd
SKs
The DLP is quite a demanding role as the player needs to combine being a playmaker and a destroyer type, giving the Mezzalas the freedom to express themselves going forwards. I gave the DLP the PIs 'take more risks' and 'more direct passing' and seeing him sit deep and spray killer passes around to the forward runners is absolutely glorious.
The only role I wasn't 100% happy with was the PFs, so I'm sure you could slot your TMs in there.1 -
Can't believe Norwood - Fleck - Lundstram is missing from this list! It's an outrage!!
Not that I'm biased or anything...2 -
I thought I'd give this a shot to break up the monotony of lock down. My first attempt gave me Sheffield United, but I'm managing them in my main save, so I had a second attempt. And this happened...
The challenge would be realistic at least!! I have no idea if I'll actually take it on going forwards, I much prefer challenges which start with an underdog, but I thought it was amusing at least.

Hey,
Yes, you are right the left wide midfielder should have the same PIs as the right wide midfielder
Cool. I thought that might be the case.

Hey TFF
Is it correct that the 2 wide midfielders in Shieldwall V1 have different PIs?
It seems strange as the rest of the tactic is symmetrical.0 -

When selecting the 'focus play' (left right or centre) TI, I'm aware that it increases the mentality of the players in that area. Is that all it does, or does it have other effects under the hood - encouraging players to pass to that area etc?

The closest I got was having the outside 2 CBs as BPD on stopper duties, with dribble more, and stay wider selected, and the 'PPMs brings ball out of defence' and 'tries to play way out of trouble'. they made some entertaining runs down the wings, but never overlapped like they do in real life, and it was a disaster defensively!

Doesn't really say anything about why it was introduced and is disrespectful to non twitter users.
Why bring attention to the sexuality of gay players and make it seem odd? If the news is released via the ingame social why don't you also hear snippets about the lives of your straight players? If it was done in this way it would less like "Buy your tickets here!! Buy your tickets here, come and see gay man play" and more normal, something you would just hear in passing
If a gay footballer came out right now it would seem odd (and extremely newsworthy), and there lies the problem. If football could get to a point where footballers could feel comfortable coming out, then it would cease to be news. This just reflects where the culture of football is at the moment.
I hope that in a few years time footballers being openly gay is so run of the mill that SI feel the need to remove it as a newsworthy item (just like footballers being straight is, hence the fact that you don't get news items about that which you're so desperate for).1 -

I think that your reply says it all really. If you are going to be so half hearted about the issue, why bother putting in the game.
What exactly is it that you'd like them to say that they're not saying? That reply seems pretty reasonable to me.

Sat in Loughborough London University right now, trying to focus on an assignment, but I need that fix. That first signing, that first gem, it's going to be beautiful.
Didn't I read somewhere that Loughborough London university has the fastest internet connection in Europe? At least you'll be able to download it quickly
