  1. Is there any way I can edit a competitions rules on a saved game?

I am 2 seasons in and I have invested a lot in foreign players but the competition rules state that I need 7 players that are trained in that nation so I am struggling.

I have purchased the ingame editor via steam but I can't see the option to do that. Is there any way around it?

Buy mine from sortitoutsi every year, it's not £29 though because you have to be a premium member which is another tenner but it's worth it for the quality of their content imo

Tbf it's worth being a premium member of sortitoutsi. It supplies the best facepacks, kits & logos. Period.

The tenner you pay per year is peanuts to get the fastest downloads straight from the website rather than use a 3rd party website with lots of pop ups that other sites use.

And no I don't work for them. Ha ha.

  3. I really like the new features. Progress and more realism has to be applauded. However, I personally would like to see the training tweaked.

I found last year's changes confusing and frustrating and for the first time in years I had to reluctantly leave it to my Ass Man.

I would also happily welcome a return to being able to train individual attributes such as heading, crossing, dribbling, etc. As that was sorely missed.

The individual mentoring for youth players was another aspect that I would welcome back.

  4. I've just perused my U18 squad and complimented a few about their training and attitude. Yet I'm faced with the 'meh' reaction of I appreciate you noticing & it's nice to hear you say that.

I'm sorry, but if a first team manager of a top club takes the time out to compliment you let alone speak to you then surely the young player should be overwhelmed?

A whatever reaction absolutely angers me.

  5. For those of us who manage clubs without funds and need new players through the door, let me point you out to arguable the very best young DR in the game, welcome Frederik Norrestrand.

This his him after 3 months of measured exposure to my Barnsley team in the first season.

His contract is due to run out within 6 months at the start of a new save so you can pick him up for nothing. However, I decided to pay a small fee to sign the 16 year old Dane straight away as I was short at right back.

He absolutely plays well at a higher level also as I signed him for RB Leipzig and AC Milan loaned him 3 seasons in and he was a first team regular there.

Developed by the Brondy youth system, this lad will absolutely be pushing for first team football with a couple of seasons. At 16 years and for free, there is absolutely no risk whatsoever!

  6. How about an option to have a choice to load up a clubs legendary squad to manage against the modern day teams?

Imagine Leicester with their premier league winning side, Arsenals invicibles, Manchester United with their youngsters, Liverpool with their early 80s team, etc.

If you could choose a 'legends' team to manage in the modern premier league, that would be class!

  7. Regarding this, ive had my scouting team asking for individual fees of around £3.4k to scout a player abroad when they are outside of the scouting area.

That's fine, but it's happening for every player I ask to be scouted when they are from the same country and club! Ha ha. Needs sorting!

  8. How about an option to just one click scout your shortlist?

If I could just hand my head scout a shortlist and say, "okay pal, scout these". Would be handy rather than trying to highlight a list and then being told it exceeds 50 so you can't...

  9. So. I have an 18 year old keeper. Good stats and doing well. I've started him in a few games and he's looking great.  My coaches rate him sort of.

Hes been playing brilliantly in my last few games and I've employed the best goalie coaches. But his red arrows start going down. No matter what I do!

I get what you're saying with the Messi scenario thing, but it's absolutely soul destroying for me as the virtual manager and for him as the player.

What's the point of the arrows then???

"sometimes it's not exactly going to be a loss for the player"

I don't think this is the case at all. I never seen anything good from this. My Winger got slower and worse at dribling at age of 21, my striker, also wonderkid got worse at finishing after getting golden boot, my left back had 15 dribling and after winning champions league and after he had almost 8.0 average rating whole season, his dribling also dropped to 14. I don't have those save games anymore but I'm sure there were even more cases. Even after all explanations from (great) guys from this forum I still don't understand why this has been implemented.

I remember in FM 2015 it was a little bit different. When you see all the arrows pointing down, you can critcize player for bad training perfromance. After he accepts the criticism, and after a month or two his attributes would back to normal, but I don't see that here. That would be more logical, for example, player got fatter or lazier and after you criticise him he would start working hard again.

  11. You can request other stuff like improving the youth facilities, training, capacity, etc. Even build a new stadium. But why not have the option to just ask the board to just spruce up the stadium you have in general?

As a football fan I've complained numerous times about the lack of parking, refreshments, toilets, etc. & I dare say that the players would love new changing facilities to name a few things. Undersoil heating, disabled access, half time entertainment, etc.

Why not add a board request where we can request an upgrade to the facilities? I'm sure it would benefit the clubs support and players output in the long run.

I've been a victim of no beer in the away end being served, run out of half-time pies on a match day, overpriced parking, toilets that I wouldn't let a cow dump in, grounds refusing to accept cards as payment, child labour servers on a cold winter Tuesday night that probably should be at home doing their homework, shyte overweight cheerleaders, no rain roofs, I could go on...

Just the option to 'improve the grounds facilities' would be nice.
