Technical directors are important parts of most clubs - at least the big ones.
They are the directors for all the staff at the club, the same as a Director of football and Head of youth development for all players.
Those new added jobs are all designed for more interaction between the manager and the staff and to delegate jobs.
If you don't like them, just ignore it, but for those who want a realistic game play, such staff members are part of it.
So it's literally pointless...

Loving the new technical and loan director in FM20. When I start a save, I immediately look to hire them.
So explain to me why you love them & how they enhances your game?

Exactly! Ha ha!

I am literally failing to see what these new roles add to the game.
When I search for a decent one they are regenerated. What on earth do they do?
Seems like another added job that literally achieves nothing in game like Data Analysis & Sports scientist.
Its a modern day life job that is probably filled with university graduates who know nothing about football. Yet they have done some sort of 'sports' related degree. 30 something failed sports people who were bad at sport.
I need an ass man, coaches, physios, & scouts. They are useful.
The rest is just rubbish made up jobs that add nothing to the game.
Next there will be a pitch coordinator, kit designer & stadium seat cleaner...
They don't add anything positive to the game. Hands up who had heard of a 'Loan' & 'technical' director until fm20?
Load of pointless rubbish.

This is a player trait. Really?
I literally don't see why this should be a special players trait. It's like saying combs his hair before he walks onto the pitch...

What?! Bothan Spy's work & kids are stopping you?
Hey, my work & kids are pretty demanding so it's a two man job.

For me, it's work & kids.

Nevermind 'tackling', I nearly wept tears of joy when I saw that they had brought back 'heading' & 'crossing' for individual training!

It's not a patch. It's the full game.

I agree with what you're saying, but the lure of potentially playing in the premier league is obviously too much.

The way I do it is by highlighting the list by scrolling down and holding right click. Then I left click to scout the list. But don't highlight over 30 people as for some reason it says that's too many.

Just turn down Watford and Leeds and accept West Brom...

I don't know, what is the difference between football manager and football manager touch?
...oh. It's not a joke?

High Leadership and Determination are good starting attributes. As well as Work Rate, Teamwork & Bravery. Age and personality are also worth taking into consideration. He will preferably need to be 'professional'.
But I have to agree, in the last 2 versions of fm, these factors don't seem to matter too much when the game says, 'Leader' in the squad description which I can only assume takes into consideration squad status, time at club and seniority.

Tbf, naming rights aren't a new thing to fm. Step forward Jens Mustermann.

It's a known issue that they are looking into and attempting to improve for release. Even with the WP explanation, it is excessive and I highly doubt young players would price themselves out of move like this.
A lot of fm players attempt to sign wonderkids and if a majority start demanding ridiculous wages in game, it would be a game killer for many.

Where will they draw the line? Will they insist that we can't edit or transfer players from their clubs as it will impact on their trademark?

There must be thousands of people over the years who have started following and supporting a club or a footballer after playing Football Manager. Which in turn has led to them purchase merchandise and tickets.
FM has helped raise the profile of countless clubs and players. If the licencing gets stricter and we have to endure more clubs calling themselves zoo animals, not letting us use their badges or see the players faces, then they will be shooting themselves in the foot PR wise.

I don't think it's too much to worry about. Modding has been part and parcel of gaming for years. If they tried to clamp down on it, it will just go underground.
Playing FM without graphics is like having a Christmas tree that you can't decorate with baubles and tinsel...

I took my children to a petting farm recently & I definitely saw better haircuts on the llamas..

Hair Styles FM20. WTF? Are you kidding me? I've had to go for crew cut as the rest are worse than a free comedy hair app! Ha ha!
Note to the makers. People don't have hair like that. Not unless they live in Legoland or in 1990s video games...
I look like i have an emoji turd on my head.
On a more positive note, the faces look much better.

Loan & Technical Director

It's like providing a a burger van graphic outside of a non-league stadium
There is literally no point in employing a loan or technology director.
It's like owning a dog. There's no point having one, but it's nice to have one when you fancy a walk.
But, when it's pissing it down, who likes walking it?
