  1. don't take feature requests unfortunately. I plan the majority of the skin ahead of time and as such have plans and ideas for stuff all ready
  2. We do one every year, and people seem to be starting pretty early this year, so feel free to showcase your skin for feedback, help or just to show off your work! Same rules as last year. Rules: This thread serves it's purpose to inspire other skinmakers and/or show off your hard work, not the skin that you're currently using. If you're using another skin as a base, please credit and link the skin. Please specify whether you want to release the skin or not. This will prevent a million questions like last year.   4. You need to press the overview button on the tabs. Accidentally forgot to change the default ID, which will be fixed for 1.1

  7. Not any more than usual. If you're using a custom skin and graphics etc it can slow loading times a bit, but not to the point its an issue

  9. Football Manager 2022 Base Skin As with most recent Football Managers for you to make certain changes in Football Manager 2023 you need to create a new skin. Thankfully over the last few years some more stuff has been moved out of the skins folder so you only really need the Base skin if you are wanting to edit the skin graphics, fonts or colours. If you want to edit the match graphics or the most of the panel xml files you no longer really need the base skins. So to make things easier for people I've put up a base skin that is identical to the default skin that comes with the game, so you can add new files/graphics to these without messing up the original skin, and anything that isn't located in these new skin folders will be taken from the default locations within the game. For Football Manager 2023 there is just the one Base Skin based on the Default Skin which is the Dark version this year. FM23 Base This skin is based on the Default Football Manager 2023 Skin Install Instructions: When you extract the file you have downloaded you should have one folder named base22 and a readme text file.Now copy the folder into your skins folder within your User Data Location, by default this is:For Windows:C:\Users\[Your Windows Username]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022\For Mac:Users\[Your Mac Username]\Library\Application Support\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022 Download Link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/98koalo1szn2f4d/fm23Base.7z/file FM23 Base Transparent This skin is based off the default skin, with support for background changes. How to increase/decrease opacity of background: Go to your User Data Location (documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023) and find the transparent skin. Inside the panels folder, go into client_object and open "client object browser.xml" with a program such as notepad++ or VSCode. Go to line 59: which has this line of code <widget class="inner_contrast_box" appearance="boxes/custom/interface/content/secondary/paper" transparency="0.7"> The bold value is what you'll need to edit, the lower the number, the more transparent, the higher the more opaque. Save your changes, clear the cache and reload your skin.   11. I've had a quick look because it intrigued me, and i've concluded that the option works as intended, however due to the way the skin's are created, the default skin are fully opaque. I've made everything a bit more transparent and had a play, and it does work. https://streamable.com/yyy4b8 From what i can deduce, I think you think that option will make the skin more transparent and "support" background images, instead its a legacy option from when the game had a translucent background. I will say, the tooltip is completely misleading.

  14. After the success from TCS '19 to TCS3 (2021), myself and WorkTheSpace have once again worked together to create the optimal Football Manager skin for the 2023 iteration of the game. Noting the lack of progression between the 2022 and 2023 game release, the goal for the skin is to give the end user a brand new experience while retaining the vibe of the original skin and v1.0 is the first step in the process. As it is only v1.0, the first iteration is basic, featuring changes to key panels like the club and player overview screens, as well as many other Quality of Life features, such as: Instant Result Featuring tweaks to the popular TCS4 skin's player and club overview panels to further enhance the user's experience. An adaptable experience to support the skin on a range of resolutions. (Not perfect, but its ok.) Player faces on Tactics screen v1.1: Change Log v1.1.1: Change Log ----------------------- As well as this, the skin features a few easy modifications to allow the user to customise their experience how they like it. A. Remove WorkTheSpace Branding A simple mod which removes all workthespace references in the skin. B. Remove Instant Result Some people like me, don't like Instant Result, this mod removes that. C. Add player faces to Squad Lists D. Alternate Captains Armband Icons v1.1 features a new captains armband icon, this mod allows you to swap it out with a handful of alternatives. E. Alternate UI Colours Easily change to a dark skin ala TCS 19, or even the WorkTheSpace purple version of TCS '19! F. Add Kit Label to Club Overview Screen G. v1.0 Background v1.1 has updated the background, the old one has been added if people preferred H.
