"Contextual Action" refers to shortcuts you can make during the game, e.g. "Y" to Finalise A Deal or "X" to Walk Away during contract negotiations.

We do appreciate and take on board the feedback you're making regarding this, and I'm sorry that the changes from previous versions have upset you. It's something we'll need to rework (or look at moving the information from the Context Menu into a more prominent place) for any potential future versions.

Hi @Baked, you can open the context menu on players by pressing the right-stick on the joy-con in, when using the cursor emulation. Apologies for not getting back to you before, but let me know if that sorts the issue for you?

@Patricoo@JCXATU @Rossatkin - sorry you're all experiencing this. It seems that you're all in your 4th season, playing in England? I'll do some investigating today on this. 

If you could try bypassing the next match by selecting "Go on Holiday", does the game still crash? Are you able to then enter/simulate the match after that?

Also, out of interest, have any of you had the game open for a long period of time (as in, you haven't closed the game application, or turned off your Switch console?) - this would help us work out whether this crash might be related to some kind of memory leak from having the game running in the background a lot.

Hi @JCXATU, thanks for your additional information. Can I ask what team you're playing as, and what leagues you have loaded? Also, is your problem exactly as listed above - you've simulated a match (during a match or before?), and now the game crashes when trying to enter the next one?

Hi @Patricoo, sorry to hear this is happening for you. Can you just confirm whether you're on the latest update, 21.3? We've fixed similar issues to this in the latest update for when a user simulates a game and then tries to play the next one.

Hi @Outasight, thanks for raising, seems from our testing that it's a problem specifically to do with teams in Germany, as well as teams that have a competitive B/II side. We'll keep you updated on the progress we make with this.

[Instant Result button does the same thing as the Simulate Match button]

Hi all, with the 21.3 update out now, we just have a fully functioning "Instant Result", which works in the same way as "Simulate Result" did.

The reason we have removed the old quick "Instant Result" was that Switch has recently transitioned to a "full match engine", meaning a user can exit the match to look at teams/player profiles, and then return to the match. Previously we couldn't do this on Switch. The unfortunate consequence of this is that the old quick Instant Result no longer works when using the the new "full match engine". Unfortunately, we didn't remove this properly from the UI in time for release.

Hey @Zoolok42, this sounds like a strange bug. Could you share some screenshots with us that example this? Additionally, when hiring your new assistant manager, had you sacked your previous assistant already, or upon your new one signing the contract, was the old one's contract terminated?

Hi @peel_acres, thanks for raising this example. We have had a couple of issues like this raised where a team's colours are black and white, and then subsequently clash in certain areas. We're looking to fix issues like this, if possible, and we'll keep you updated on our progress.

Hi @VanEdgar, this is something that is under review within the studio at the moment - the predictive search will appear and work the first time you use it, but not on subsequent searches. A current solution to this is to use the mouse cursor to select the "magnifying glass", which will bring up the full search menu rather than the predictive one.

Hi @Zoolok42, this is unfortunately something we're aware of and looking to fix. You are correct in that both are functioning the same, and we suspect that this is because the PC and Xbox platforms do not actually have "Instant Result", and there's been some interference as a result of that. Hi @notleco, we're haven't encountered anything like this internally. Is this happening consistently for you? Other than Match Plans, it might be the case that you're unwittingly pressing Y to action an assistant's advice during the match?
