  1. Paris or Florida? Went Florida a few times as a kid, we had fast queue passes thanks to a few relatives, good times. Ah, true, guess it is what you weigh it up to be.
  2. What drives people to queue for so long. If I see a queue longer than a few minutes I sack it off and leave. No idea what possesses people to just wait.
  3. Everything is shut. . The day off will be my kid being bored to tears. Basically.
  4. Even the last part is odd to me. 'You saw the queen's body granddad?' 'Well, no' 'Well, what did you see then?' 'A box with a tea cosy over it.'
  5. More the logic of needing to associate with the reason for the day off in order to have it.
  6. Absolutely, more that given the sheer number of other issues that this is where clubs have drawn the line? It's baffling. No sympathy for him, more on this is where clubs have decided enough is enough. I've been an away travelling fan for decades, heard/seen my fair share of guff, just more stunned that the inaction of the past has had a line drawn under it when it comes to royalty. Same as you regarding the bottom half, there are far worse things I've seen and heard over the years where the fans in question have had a slap on the wrist at best and still get to attend games.
  7. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/sep/13/preston-ban-football-fan-for-life-for-derogatory-tweet-about-the-royal-family Out of all the things clubs have barely banned individuals for, all the aspects I've heard at grounds up and down the country, this is where the line is drawn? Jeez.
  8. Misses mom wants us to come in for lunch over the weekend. Don't think she has a TV.
  9. Part of me would have alot more time for it if they spring loaded her corpse to pop up spontaneously. Would scare the life out of them.
  10. It's the polarising nature that monarchy has, it gets tied in with patriotism quite often. Only have to see the usual eyes on Liverpool tonight happily juiced up and offended.
  11. I've tried to understand what you've been going on about, but I give up. Any translator?
  12. One of those that's probably a geographical and class split as well, young middle-class I know are very pro-monarchy for example.
  13. No, but it was in response to the 'admiration' of said royals. More saying that there is an element forced on people by the pedestal the royals are put on simply because they fell out of the right twit. Absolutely and I was not aiming towards the royals but more the reverence in which they're held by powers that be, and thus enforced onto the nation, more arguing that are enforced aspects that are inadvertently caused by the sheer existence of the monarchy.
  14. We haven't got a functioning government at this moment in time, during a national crisis, no less. Furthermore, aspects are forced, we had football cancelled this prior weekend, that was an enforced (by governing bodies in response to said death) change on people. No doubt we will have tributes throughout each of the matches following, but then again, people can't be clasping their pearls if those clubs who get pro-monarchy tributes forced upon them react 'negatively'.
  15. He said it was an opportunity for them to gain some favour by reversing it.
  16. Yeah, but, you've not got the guarantee that they're a sex offender that you've got with the royals.
  17. I mean there was a few laws broken when Liz used a bit of taxpayers money to pay off a few women. That's been ignored.
