Interesting experiment, but I went on Reddit, and OP had state of the art youth facilities and exceptional youth coaching, so those are possibly factors to consider. Perhaps for these specific vectors, the production is wonkily tilted towards high CA/comparitively Low PA?

I think OPs examples where players from different clubs, so not sure that matters?

  2. So I did a test myself, just to see if this was true with my own eyes. I've been reloading the English youth take for the better part of 2 hours, I would say I have more than 50 youth intakes to draw from. I have a single newgen above 120 CA and a single player above 119CA. Both with a fair amount of growth potential. Not world beaters but surely sufficient to put doubt on OPs claim of 100% probability to not develop beyond their current self.

Another issue I see based on this is the amount of 120+ CAs OP seems to get from so few intakes. I had to work "hard" for just these two.

Actually I mean deterministic. Absolutely no doubt about it. The algorithms that runs the match engine make results mostly pre-determined against high quality teams.

Just had my top of the league team beaten 7 times in a row away at liverpool. we're favourites and i've taken the lead every time. Have tried attacking on the lead and defending on it. I'm top of the league. all players have really good morale, match fitness,, etc.

What's really obvious is that we've had way more shots in all but 1 game. Way more. They're not outside the box shots either, they're in front of goal, inside the mx.  The final straw was the last straw- goal on 91 minutes.

    Diferent formations ch time. e.

This game is a nonsense and full of it.

I'd like a shot at that game as well. Please upload. I have a pretty poor grasp of how things work tactically but I have no doubt I could win it by using the few things I have learned.

  4. Thanks for nice tactics that don't use 3 strikers! :)

I'm on the public beta so that might be the reason for this, but I can't get the AF to work at all. The tactics are good, but the AF have so far produced 5 goals (2 pens) in half a season as Liverpool.

I play with the 3.0 DM verison, I also tried the latest one you posted here but the issue remains. AF get constantly below 6,5 ratings.

Firmino/Salah are the ones I've tried up top, maybe no the right kind of players?

There have been cases where footballers haven't been able to get their boots on due to blisters and they've had to miss matches, so isn't completely beyond the realms of possibility. 8-10 does seem on the long side personally - but maybe some players are less inclined to play through the pain? Was the player in question out for all those 8-10 days as 'red' injury, or did it become an 'orange' injury a few days in meaning they could be selected?

Fair enough! This is a player who in general doesn't seem to be very professional, so he might be less inclined to suffer the pain. Have to admit that I can't remember if it turned into an orange injury or not, I've played 1,5 seasons since my original post.

Anyway, won't take up any more forum space, it's seems like it could happen and I guess it was a case of bad luck!

  6. So maybe a bit more information then? I hike alot (like once or twice a week) and I've had blood filled blisters, blisters that made me want to cry and even flesh wounds after walking half a day with blisters. 8-10 days would is extreme, especially considering the resources a modern football club should have medically. And with the right handling (special bandages and such) I've been able to continue walking the day after without much pain.

Am I missing some kind of brutal blistering here that I've simply never experienced?

Sorry, it's a small thing and doesn't really take away anything from the game, but I find it odd that professional football players with and infinite shoe-budget (probably custom made to their feet) could find themselves in a place where suddenly, after a light training session, they have to be away for up to 2 weeks because of something that shouldn't be hard to avoid :D

If he's a GK, schedule a couple of sessions of GK training, if he's in the defensive unit make sure you set a focus where they're the primary focus (i.e. Defending training), if he's in the attacking unit do likewise.

Thanks for info! I have players from all three units complaining about it :D Guess I need to get a new Assistant or take over training myself then!

  8. Hello,

I'm sort of restarting a thread a I had on the FMT18-forum regarding good android devices to play FMT on.

I'm currently in possession of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7 which was very laggy (both 3D, 2D and in menus) and troublesome when trying to play FMT18. I've still not bought FMT19 since I don't want to experience that level of poor performance again.

Do anyone have experience with android devices that do not lag in FMT19 and if so what device? The new Tab S4?

I would rally like to avoid buying an ipad pro but if thats the only reasonable device I might do it since I'm going away travelling for a few months and need my FM fix.

    Thanks!

I've just had Brexit announced on mine with the following rules:

Does this really mean I'll be unable to play any youth player in my first team ever unless I give them 8k p/w  And any youth will need to be on 3k or will be unable to play any games :applause:What does the maximum of 5 players mean exactly?

Having to give any kind of decent youth a ridiculous wage just so you can see if they progress. Well played

Got the exact same message a few minutes ago. Might start to look for jobs outside of the UK :P I think this is a pretty hard Brexit.

  10. First competitive game so very little to go on. But this game (screenshot) worries me a bit.

First of all, Gunn being the worst player on the pitch after an absolute bombardment from us whilst Alisson who let almost everything in have pretty good rating. None of the CCCs where goals and the goals from Southampton were very weak shots that any goalie should easily deal with.

Secondly, a bit worried with the ratings in general regarding my defenders, Southampton had pretty much nothing all game and yet every time they even strolled into our half the defenders just let them pass. (I'm playing Control Possession with a few role tweaks). My defenders should have had much much lower rating because Gomez and Trent were both responsible for 2 of their goals.

Third, not related to the screenshot below, but during pre-season we got 6 penalties in 7 games and missed 4 of them. Both stats a bit worrying.

I love the new interface. Love tactics and training so far. All in all it's a very good feeling.

Anyway, first competitive game, so might get better but these are just my first impressions.

That doesn't sound right try benchmarking here and compare with others https://community.sigames.com/topic/421162-fm18-performance-benchmarking-thread/

Although it could be that your definition of struggle might mean "not as fast as lightning" because your processor is the top consumer processor available at the moment

Will try that when I get home!

I've felt, in general, slightly disappointed after the upgrade from an i5-6700K to this processor as I've noticed zero difference in anything.

Put it this way, I have an i7 3770k 3.5ghz  and about 86 leagues loaded, it flies through processing and im about 6 yrs in.     So i highly recommend that CPU depending on budget etc.   But then you may need new motherboard etc so again, like FrazT said, compare to a completely new machine price wise

Seriously? I got an i7-8700K 3.60GHz and I struggle above 20 leagues. How much RAM do you have?
