I'll be releasing an update soon. It will have the latest changes to what used to be called the NPSL Founders Cup (now the Members Cup). I honestly don't know what that means for the NPSL Pro in real life. I doubt it will ever get off the ground. It looks likely that the six teams will end up joining the NISA. Also, the Atlanta SC joining NISA is apparently the same Atlanta SC that currently competes in the NPSL. However, I am not going to change their logo just yet, because they have received absolute universal negative feedback on the one shown above. They really shouldn't be too surprised at that considering the ball isn't centered, they tried to use both vertical and horizontal gradients (wtf?), and they have a lower-cased "r" when literally all of the other letters are upper-cased. I'm going to leave Atlanta SC as-is because I believe that they will change it when they get someone who is a little more proficient with MS Paint.
So what I'll do with the next update is eliminate the NPSL Pro. I'll believe it when I see it. I have read enough noise that Chattanooga FC, Detroit City, Milwaukee Torrent, and FC Arizona are joining NISA that I will put them in it. For now.

MAC USERS:
So I wanted to test this out. I have created three saves that begin even before a coach has been added in January 2018. These saves are based on database size: small, medium, and large. The leagues present by default are the central american and Caribbean leagues that I load up with to start. You can use the league add/remove feature in-game to modify the available leagues to your choosing (if this works).
Let me know if it still crashes when trying load one of these saves.

Uncle same... I just seen your new video on youtube how do i add the NCAA rules for U19-U23 that you showed in the video for CIS in Canada database?
You would do that in the fixture rules under the national rules for Canada.
The U Sports rules was tricky. I built those rules with input from yellowsweatygorilla, who is much more familiar with the real life competition than I am. Apparently the rules are nowhere near as stringent as NCAA and there are a lot of players older than 23, so I left that out. The fact they are amateur will mostly keep the ages of the players down. Also, FM treats these teams as normal clubs, because there is no way in the editor (that I am aware of) to tell FM that these are colleges/universities. This means that the U Sports teams generate youth intakes like any other club. There isn't really a way to set the minimum age of youth players generated, at least not in my tests.

I see that now, thanks. yes, I'm on a Mac
For some reason Macs can't handle the file. It's an unfortunate reality but there isn't anything I can do about it as I do not have any idea what causes the issue.

I haven't released the PRO version of this update. I'll try and get that up in the next day or two.

Is there any plan in adding leagues such as the USASA?
I'm not going to rule it out. In a previous version I had the UPSL in there. The problem is that those levels are extremely volatile. When I set up the UPSL I took a list of the clubs and put them all in the database, and then immediately went back and looked and several of the clubs had withdrawn from the league.

You gave a very good answer to your own question
True, just interested in other input to build on what I do.

I am definitely a believer in the "less can be more" philosophy when it comes to FM. I believe sometimes we make the players job more difficult by "forcing" them to make decisions when it's better left up to their judgment. For example, I tend not to mess with tempo despite preferring a possession style of play VERY similar to the one @herne79 has spoken about.
I'd also be interested in hearing what @herne79 and others would have to say about to do when your team is inferior to the opposition. For example, maybe you're playing a club that's a couple of divisions above in a cup match. I've tried different things with mixed results. Simply going with a lower mentality still gets me beat over the top from time to time, and dropping the lines just allows them to pick me apart. The most success I've had is when I've lowered the line of engagement and ticked "Counter" in In Transition. and removed "Work Ball into Box" and "Play Out of Defense". Basically I become a team that tries to play compact from front to back and hit them with a fast break. It has by no means been invincible, but I don't suppose you can expect anything to be when play a much stronger opponent. But what do you guys think?

Also how long do you wait before shutting it down? When I'm playing sometimes it does take some time to process but it does finally proceed.

That's odd. Did you try going on vacation just to test it out?

I have modified the first post with the following updates:
USA Expansion 3.24 - http://www.mediafire.com/file/zacf3690c3ie97w/USA_Expansion_3-24.rar/file
Graphics files 3.24 (place in "Football Manager 2019>graphics" folder): http://www.mediafire.com/file/9evhxci35mrbj41/USA-CAN_Expansion_Graphics_3-24.rar/file
This is mostly just a graphics update, bringing the professional leagues (USL Championship, USL League One, NPSL Pro, NISA) a little more up to date aesthetically. Kits, logos, etc have all been updated, including 3D kits for all USL Championship, USL League One, NISA, and NPSL Pro teams:
Charlotte Independence v. Louisville City
Colorado Springs v. Fresno FC ("Fuego" kit):

Changing the date fixed it!
Thanks for letting me know about that. I'll see if there is anything I can do to correct the issue for those starting in 2019.

Is anyone else having this issue? Because I am not:
In the background you can see the teams from the USL Championship East to be selected. My best guess is that you are using another file that conflicts with mine.

MASSIVE UPDATE - VERSION 3.23
I have update the first post with some pretty big changes. I'll start with competition rules and changes.
UNITED STATES
-----USL Championship
New San Diego franchise has been included, to begin play in 2020. I have also moved the Oakland and Chicago franchises to start play in 2021, as per real life.
-----NISA/NPSL Founders Cup & Professional Division
I have updated these competitions to conform to the latest information. For the NISA, these means some of the club naming/branding. However, as most of the clubs have made no announcements on that the branding is largely conceptual. I have also placed Miami FC in the NISA, and Oakland Roots will join the NISA in 2020. Since I can't do a Fall-->Spring calendar, the shorter season will be the spring season and the longer season will in the Fall. There will be playoffs for both spring and fall, with a championship round that pits the winners of the spring and fall against each other. If the same team wins both, the club with the best overall record will take the other spot. Oakland Roots has also been withdrawn from the NPSL Founders Cup.
-----NCAA
I have put all of the college conferences under one competition, and all of the conference tournaments under on competition. I believe this GREATLY helps navigating the national competitions:
Each conference and conference tournament still records its own history and champions.
-----AWARDS
I have added a slew of awards to the lower level competitions.
They are mostly based on real life, but for the NISA and NPSL Pro I had to kind of improvise.
-----Extra Data
I added a couple files that update managers and squads for the lower league clubs, specifically the USL League One clubs.
CANADA
-----CPL
I made several changes to the CPL. First of all, as per feedback, I created an Academy division for the CPL teams. This is not exactly real life, but it gives the clubs a place for their youth intakes. I also removed the salary cap. I believe that this was causing problems for the AI clubs when building their squads. The squad rules now conform a little better to the actual real life rules, with a maximum of 5 foreign players in the playing 11, and a minimum of 3 U21 national players on the squad. I have also modified the attendance figures to conform more to what we are seeing in real life. There is now a Data file that you will need to drop in the editor files folder that adds a lot to the Canadian experience. It's actually a modified version of yellowsweatygorilla's data.
GRAPHICS
This update is a great one for graphics. First, all of the MLS, USL Championship, and USL League One kits have been updated:
I have also updated the 3D kits for Major League Soccer:
Also included are 3D kits for the Canadian and USA national teams:

I love your files. Thank you very much for them. However, I had a little problem and I had to stop playing on my latest saved game. I played for about 6 years managing a team from Anguilla. And although I qualified each time I won the league for the Caribbean Club Shield when I manged to get through to the qualifying round and won it, therefore advancing to the CONCACAF League, I was never included in the drawing for the competition. True, it was only once, but then I looked over all the winners of the past years for that qualifying round and none of them played in the CONCACAF League despite that fact appearing in the competition rules and in my case being announced via my game inbox. Can this be corrected because I still dream of building a very small Caribbean team and maybe try to win CONCACAF Champions League? Thank you.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention, as I have never noticed it before. I have corrected it and it will work properly for the next release.

How often does the Salary Cap go up? I know it raises after the first year but does it increase every couple of years as well?
To be honest I'm not sure how often it increases in-game. I have no way of changing that, though, so however it works by default in FM is how it works in this file.

If i used @Timo61 mexico update instead of yours should be a problem?
I honestly can't answer that. If there are changes to the competition rules, then continental qualification will probably not work correctly. If it is just a transfer update, then it should be fine.

Not sure what's happened but when managing in Canada the Premier league's number of matches is set to '0' with no planned fixtures?
The Canadian Premier League is set to actually begin play in 2019, as in real life. That means that there will be no matches scheduled in game for the 2018 season.

So just so you guys know, I am close to a release that updates the file and corrects some errors. However, every time I get ready there is some upheaval in real life. For example, I had literally finished a verification and then an announcement is released that says Oakland Roots SC has withdrawn from the NPSL Founders Cup and will now be joining the NISA. I hope to get it released today.

Yea, I'm not going to try and figure out the nonsense that is the fall showcase of the NISA. Teams in the same "division" don't even play the same number of games. Cal United plays 7, Oakland plays 5. There is no way I can re-create that in FM.
