  1. Here's a quick explanation: It sounds like it depends if the game thinks something is important enough to get an email about. But, you can always navigate to another screen to see that info, email or not.
  2. I thought I'd seen every response to those conversations where you try to assuage a player's concern over playing time. This is a new one...
  3. I would like to see the date of the last change displayed on a player's Development->Training screen. Maybe just show the in-game date of the last change to the POSITION/ROLE/DUTY & ADDITIONAL FOCUS options, just below each option? Then, I can more easily tell if a player is not developing because the training just isn't working, or if I haven't given it enough time. Once my club grows and I have loads of players, it becomes harder to keep track of how long a given individual has been training a particular focus. Or, maybe I'm just old and senile
  4. Is there a way to see how long it has been since an individual player's training focus was changed? I'm looking at a player that doesn't seem to be progressing, but I can't remember if I assigned their focus a week or a year ago.
  5. I don't think it's a flaw for my club - we're a semi-pro club. I would think it would be unrealistic to offer multi-year deals if they're only part-time. For some of the better players they do let me offer two year deals, but only for the top 3-4 players on the club. I'm also doing an academy save so I'm entirely dependent on the quality of youth coming through the academy. Maybe if bought better players, I'd be able to offer more 2-yr deals.
  6. I'm playing a lower league side and I usually try to re-sign players later, in December, right before the January transfer window (in England). At least then they let me offer contracts through the following season. I don't know how long you have to wait though. I still have to re-sign all my players every year.
  7. "I'll get my way eventually." I hear maniacal laughter after he says that. I think I'll sleep with one eye open from now on.
  8. I think, by law, you have to nickname him "The Duke".
  9. I guess I should point out that these systems are both cooled with custom water loops and de-lidded CPUs for direct-die water cooling. I think that keeps the Ryzen system from throttling (it still reaches 85-90C at certain points, particularly during benchmark 4). It might have different results on a typical air or AIO cooling setup.
  10. PC2: I re-ran the FM23 benchmarks for this one because I had tweaked my overclock settings at some point and it should be a bit better than what I originally reported for FM23. Type: Custom CPU Model: Core i9-13900K CPU Base Frequency: 3.0GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: up to 5.8GHz RAM: 64GB RAM Clockspeed: 6400Mhz GPU: RTX 4090 Graphics Level in 3D: Very High Benchmark 1 FM23: 00 min 34 sec Benchmark 1 FM24: 00 min 29 sec Benchmark 2 FM23: 01 min 03 sec Benchmark 2 FM24: 00 min 59 sec Benchmark 3 FM23: 04 min 16 sec Benchmark 3 FM24: 02 min 37 sec Benchmark 4 FM23: 08 min 45 sec Benchmark 4 FM24: 06 min 48 sec
  11. PC1: I re-ran the FM23 benchmarks for this one because I know I had tweaked my overclock to achieve better stability and it is a little slower than when I originally reported the FM23 results. Type: Custom CPU Model: Ryzen 9 7950X CPU Base Frequency: 4.5GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: up to 5.7GHz RAM: 64GB RAM Clockspeed: 6000Mhz GPU: RX 7900 XTX Graphics Level in 3D: Very High Benchmark 1 FM23: 00 min 37 sec Benchmark 1 FM24: 00 min 32 sec Benchmark 2 FM23: 01 min 09 sec Benchmark 2 FM24: 01 min 02 sec Benchmark 3 FM23: 04 min 33 sec Benchmark 3 FM24: 02 min 34 sec Benchmark 4 FM23: 08 min 52 sec Benchmark 4 FM24: 06 min 40 sec
  12. Maybe a simpler way to ask this question would be how do I tell if this condition has been met? Is it indicated anywhere in the player profile?
  13. I signed a player in a time of great need. He filled a purpose, but I planned on letting his contract expire at the end of the season. However, since he is only 21, I've received the email informing me that I need to offer a contract of similar or greater value if I want compensation when someone else signs him. Maybe someone will sign him, maybe not. My question is what constitutes a 'contract of equal value'? He is asking for a larger contract, so I thought, I could just offer him an equal value contract that he will reject, and if someone signs him, yay! Here's his current contract: Obviously, I'll need to offer a wage of 325. Do I need to also include all the same bonuses, included the Cup bonus (moved to the next season?). Do I need to offer the same number of years (only one year in this case, but in general)? I just want to figure out how to utilize this feature as it looks like it will become more beneficial once I move up the leagues.
  14. I don't know the answer, but just thinking how you could figure it out... If you have the in-game editor, you could create a test save and use the editor to remove the player from your squad. Then you should be able to see any changes to the finances. I think that would work.
  15. 2nd build here (13900k/4090, direct-die water-cooled, OC'd): Type: Desktop Model: Custom CPU Model: Intel Core i9 13900k CPU Base Frequency: 3.0 GHz/2.2 GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: 5.4 GHz/4.3 GHz RAM: 64GB DDR5 RAM Clockspeed: 6400Mhz GPU: nVidia RTX 4090 Graphics Level in 3D: Very High Benchmark 1: 0 min 35 Sec Benchmark 2: 01 min 05 Sec Benchmark 3: 4 min 23 Sec Benchmark 4: 8 min 51 Sec
  16. Way back in March I announced I was building two computers - a 7950X vs, 13900k comparison using direct-die water cooling. Well, I'm half-way there. I have finished the AMD build and report my scores below. The Intel/nVidia build is mostly done. I've found that I didn't do a good enough job removing all the indium from the dies the first time around. So, I'm taking that apart and putting in a little more elbow grease. I'll report back on that in maybe a couple weeks. The first set of scores is just with the CPU overclocked (RAM on EXPO timings). The second set of scores are with the CPU overclocked plus tweaked memory timings. Type: Desktop Model: Custom CPU Model: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU Base Frequency: 4.5GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: 5.7GHz RAM: 64GB DDR5 RAM Clockspeed: 6000Mhz GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX Graphics Level in 3D: Very High w/only CPU overclock: Benchmark 1: 0 min 38 Sec Benchmark 2: 01 min 07 Sec Benchmark 3: 4 min 48 Sec Benchmark 4: 9 min 15 Sec w/both CPU OC + RAM tuning Benchmark 1: 0 min 36 Sec Benchmark 2: 01 min 05 Sec Benchmark 3: 4 min 32 Sec Benchmark 4: 8 min 52 Sec I just thought it was interesting how much improvement you could get, particularly in the last two tests, just by tweaking RAM timings. Overall, I'm sure my over-the-top cooling helped loads with this. The chip never once thermally throttled in this setup and allowed me use the extra thermal headroom to push things even further.
  17. Someone's agent will soon be approaching to get an improved deal for their client...
  18. I was surprised that the Intel chip took the lead in the more strenuous tests in my pre-build air-cooled setup, but maybe I shouldn't be. I'm pretty sure the AMD chip was throttling. My guess is AMD will take the lead once cooling is no longer an issue. We'll see!
  19. I think the game is passively-aggressively trying to remind me that I'm playing a cheat save.
  20. I have a wonderful wife. But, I did have to get her a cat.
  21. Speaking of testing a 13900k vs. 7950X... I may be crazy, but I bought both. I'm building one all AMD system (7950x + 7900XTX) and one 'other guys' system (13900k + 4090). Additionally, I'm going to remove the heatspreaders on both and do some direct die water cooling on both. That way, I hope to remove ANY thermal bottlenecks. I'll also tweak them both for overclocking (likely stick with PBO on AMD), then test both systems with these benchmarks. Still waiting on a couple of water blocks, so it will be a few more weeks though. My wife tells me I must hate money, but I tell her "this is why I got a degree and a job, so I can buy this stuff!" Now that I've announced this project here, I'll probably break the CPUs trying to de-lid them. I didn't save the data, but I did test these parts in air-cooled setups with no overclocking just to make sure it all worked. The 13900k beat my 7950x by about 40s in the last test. We'll see if that holds when they are both cooled well.
  22. How do I see a list of all players in my organization and be able to sort them by squad (Sr., U23, U18)? I know I can filter them by squad, but that removes the filtered players from view and that's not what I'm after. I've been trying this in the Squad view, but maybe there's another menu somewhere else that does this?
  23. Type: Desktop Model: Custom CPU Model: Ryzen 9 5950X CPU Base Frequency: 3.40 GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: 4.90 GHz RAM: 32GB RAM Clockspeed: 3800Mhz GPU: Nvidia RTX 3090 Graphics Level in 3D: Very High Storage Type: SSD (M.2 NVMe) Benchmark A: 00 min 48 Sec Benchmark B: 04 min 09 Sec Benchmark C: 06 min 11 Sec Benchmark D: 14 min 54 Sec My setup seemed to get faster/more efficient as the detail level ramped up. I listed the stock turbo frequency, but I am overclocked - both PBO and all-core (MB switches between them as needed). PBO gets me ~5.025GHz on 1-2 cores, and all-core is 4.65GHz.
