  1. Mate, the whole thing is driving me crazy - this never happened with the same database files in FM22 or FM23, so I cannot fathom what has changed in FM24 regarding financials. Unfortunately, with 300k+ changes, I have no idea where to start on making this adjustment. I have tried resetting anything I can think of to do with money - budgets, balances, reputations, league reputations, income, debts, everything! - and I simply cannot see what has changed from one FM to the next to make this ridiculous problem come to light. I will try and post some images later after work of the issue so hopefully someone might be able to spot the issue. I have absolutely no appetite to start this database from scratch, put it that way!
  2. Alright, that's interesting because for all of the clubs affected I have increased reputation and bank balance as opposed to lower it. I cannot fathom why, for example, a club like Liverpool, with a reputation of 9000+ and a bank balance of about 300m, is being set with a wage bill of around 700-800k. Do you have any ideas, by chance? Anything I can do to correct this weird oversight? EDIT: So have tried to remove finance changes for certain clubs in the Premier League, reverting them back to default, and it is still doing this weird wage calculation. Wtf is going on here? Haha.
  3. Not sure where to ask this, but seen as it is likely an editor file issue I thought I would bring it up in here... So I am using a large editor file with about 300k+ changes I have been making since FM22. Migrated from FM22 into FM23 with no issues, and then from FM23 into FM24 with no issues. Have ran a five-year save that has worked absolutely fine etc. no issues. But when starting a save last night I noticed a strange issue now that I can see other clubs budgets: most of the big clubs have tiny wage budgets! Like, for example, Liverpool are spending something in the region of £3.5m per week on wages, but their actual wage budget is about 700k meaning they have a 2m plus deficit in wages. This appears to be the case for prety much any major club I can find. In my editor file I have changed bank balances and reputations for big clubs to be more balanced, but I have not touched remaining wage budgets or anything like that. Seen as I cannot set an actual wage budget for teams in the pre-game editor, I am stumped as to why all of the major clubs appear to be running massive wage deficits. Does anyone have any ideas how I would go about adjusting this? This has never been an issue with this editor file in other FMs, so not sure why this is suddenly an issue now. In previous FM games, skins I have used have included a 'Finances' section on the club overview page, where I can see the budgets of other teams - I get this isn't information I should be able to see, but it is information I like to check out regardless. I am using a skin from here (Rensie) and have swapped out one panel - Club Culture, I think - for the finance section that was working for me in FM22 and FM23. Is there something that has changed in FM24 to stop this from working? Does the coding above to be changed to make this feature work?   6. Is it still possible to see other clubs balances, wage budget used/available and the like? I have tried copying in the relevant widget into the club overview panel xml, but while it does show the balance, profit/loss, transfer budget, wages allowed/available etc. all of the numbers are simply marked as '-' - I cannot seem to find a way to make this widget show the actual figures. Has this changed in FM24 or am I making a rookie mistake? Thank you! Adam club overview panel.xml

  8. Hi there! Hoping someone can assist me with this. I am looking to find a way to add back the ability to change club names within the FM24 In-Game Editor. I could do this in previous FM editions, but this appears to have been removed as a feature. Is there any way to add that back in? I want to change a few club names around as I forgot to edit them in the Pre-Game Editor, and I prefer to remove Short Names so all clubs have their 'full' title where possible. Can someone please let me know how to go about doing this? Thank you very much! It would save my starting my save again Adam

  10. (Not sure if this is the right place to ask, sorry if not!) I am not sure how/if this is possible, but does anyone know if we can replace the colours available for players boots? Had seen it suggested elsewhere that the attached .dds palette file controls the colours available, but I have tried swapping these for different colours and it is not making a change in-game. Is this something that we can control/change? I know yuo cannot give certain players boot colours, that's totally fine, but I just want to know if I can swap out the commonly used colours for different shades. To be honest I just quick like to mess around with little things like this and find out how much I can change, but I am not finding any success in changing this.   11. Hello there! Hoping that someone can h elp me with what is probably a very simple task. So I am looking to change the colour of the button on the far-right - the one that says 'Edit Search (2)' in white. I want to change the text colour of this to black as opposed to white. Is this possible to do? I hae found the colour for other button types, but not this particular one. Thank you for any assistance, I appreciate this is probably something obvious but I've been changing colours back and forth all evening and not really getting anywhere. Cheers!
  12. Is there a way to stop getting notifications about awards etc. for players on a shortlist? So far I have tried all of the solutions that have worked for me in past FM editions. I have created a new shortlist with lots of players on it, and I have made sure to untick the box under 'active shortlists'. I have also gone into my news/social subscriptions and ensured that the shortlist and all of the players on it are unticked for everything, meaning I should in theory not get any emails about any of these players. However, I often get a random barrage of inbox notifications all about people winning POTM or whatever in a different league. Acc. to the press officer forwarding them on in-game, it is because one of the players in the running for the award is shortlisted. One solution I have found is to use the inbox filter to get rid of award news, but that poses two issues in that I miss award notices about my own players, which is what I want to read, not awards for players on a large shortlist, and I need to turn this filter on constantly as it only lasts for one day. Thanks to anyone who can help me to stop this, it is really annoying! Haha.
  13. That is tremendous, thank you very much for the rapid response! I can find the team instructions xml file, but I don't appear to have the widget xml suggested. I assume the skin I am using does not edit this file - is there any way to get this file from the FM databse? I tried to extract the default skin there using the resource archiver but that does not appear to include it, either.
  14. Hello there! I hope someone can help me with this. I have been messing around with changing the colours of a skin and I cannot find the panel that adjusts the color of the yellow tactics section; the area where it displays your team instructions. I have tried adjusting as many different sections in the XML files I have for this in relation to the yellow colour I am using, but I simply cannot find what addresses this. Thanks to anyone who can help me find this!
  15. Hi there! Wasn't really sure where to post this. I posted it on the Bugs Tracker forum but I am not really sure if it counts as a bug per se, more something I might have done wrong. I figured it might be best to post here? So since FM22 came out I have been using a database file that I just adjust on a regular basis. Really it's just a big humble of name changes, reputation changes, attribute adjustments, and some other stuff like ticking the 'retire after current spell' box on lots of players. I've been able to create new saves with it no problem at all - until now. When I try to create a new FM22 career save, after choosing which editor data files to load it crashes when it begins loading, but before I can choose which league(s) to play with. This has never happened before. Frankly given there are close to 200,000 changes I have absolutely no idea what I have changed to cause this. My most recent save uses the same file without maybe a few thousand new additions, but these additions are literally just more of the above - player attribute updates and contract changes. I haven't changed anything else outside of basically making lots of younger players have higher potential. I have attached the editor file that is causing the crashing, and the crash dumps.   18. Have been looking for an answer to this all evening and no doubt I have looked right at it several times, but hoping someone can help. I use a kind of 'main' database files, and then for each new team I try out or save I play I'll have small additions or changes specific to the league I will be managing in. I intend to start my next save with more than one of these files loaded at once, but it means that certain changes will contradict changes made in another file. How do I make sure that one file takes precedence over another? When choosing the editor data files at the start of a new save, is there a particular load order? Thanks so much for anyone who can give me an answer on this!
  19. Hey! So I recently managed to get the Resource Archiver working having found it unusable since I got FM22. Having started to poke around in the 3D graphics folders to try and find a way to change some of the boot colours, I noticed a few folders that had the different hairstlyes you can choose as a manager. It got me wondering, then, would it be possible to take some of the hairstyles we can give to a manager and put them over the hairstlyes you got for players? For example we can choose from things like Bald/Fuzz/Short/Medium/Long with the editor. Would it be possible to find the files for say, the hair that is given for Long, and replace it with something like a ponytail or an afro any other hair styles that the manager models can use? I'm not usually too fussed about 3D match engine presentation outside of the kits which I can find and make easily enough, but the har length thing has always confused me a little in that there's so little difference from length to length. Sometimes it would be the easiest way to tell which player is which in the middle of a stramash etc. Does anyone imagine this would be feasible, then? Or is that simply beyond capability?

  21. Hey! I am hoping someone can help me with an issue I have. I am trying to get access to the images for boot colours in FM22. I know you can extract them with the resource archiver, as noted by Bluestillidie in another topic. However, any time I load up the FM22 resource archiver it just crashes - like closes down as soon as I start it up. I have tried installing, reinstalling, reinstalling on different HDDs etc. so not sure what the issue is. Fully aware that I cannot allocate boots to certain players, that's not an issue, I just want to get rid of two or three of the colours by overwriting their image file with one of the boot colours I do like. Would it be possible for someone who can access the archiver to extract the boots for me, please? Not really sure how else to get access to them without a working archiver. Thank you if anyone can help me out!
  22. Hello there! As a Celtic fan I've found myself getting a bit bored of playing the top six split style system that is in the SPFL. I instead want to create a league where there are 16 teams, playing each other twice for 30 games. I've tried to remove the top six split by making them a hidden stage, keeping the relegation playoff. I have also added the teams to each league so there are 16 in the SPFL, and then the numbers needed in each other league that the game loads. However, when I try to verify the rules, it tells me that there are a maximum of 12 teams in the SPFL, and it is finding 16. I have changed everything I can see in the league settings in advanced rules to make sure it looks for 16 teams, not 12, but nothing seems to be correcting this issue. Could anyone help me to do this? I managed to change the French league to a 34-game season without much issue but this one is proving tougher - can anyone recommend an idea of how to go about doing this without having to build the Scottish system from scratch?
