Do you believe your strikers will score when one-on-one?

if someone (some clever clogs) wants to find out how many one-on-ones are actually scored IRL, it would be interesting.

I already did. Or rather I posted the results of a survey that was done a few years ago (as best I can remember them).

IRL, at the highest level only somewhere between 20-30% of 1-on-1s are converted.

FM isn't far away from that figure.

From what I'm seeing on FM, the amount of chances missed during matches which really should be put away is what's annoying.

If I were watching real life and my team missed that many chances time and time again, I'd be reaching for the razor blades.

But like I said before, I think the ME just needs tightened up a bit in order to limit the amount of chances that teams create. The results are all realistic enough (most of the time!) and everything works out well "at the end of the day", but this missed chances phenomenon is quite grating as it happens time and time again, match after match.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm loving FM09 at the minute and I'm not here to SI/FM-bash.

No. Neither I or the opposition have scored in a one-on-one situation yet.

Very unrealistic in my opinion. I'm ending up taking it out on my strikers when the game actually makes it like a 1 out of 100 chance of scoring.

Tbf this is the reason I barely watch my matches now. I just leave it be and look back on the goals. Less frustrating.
