pouncer Posted February 13, 2008 Share Posted February 13, 2008 I'm not expert at this - and it may have been mentioned before - but when you are down there and you sell your top goalscorer, try and get some advantage out of it for the future, eg. If Barcelona, for example, want my prime young prospect, arranging a home friendly against them might be worth as much as £400,000 in revenue, which is a lot for a lower league team. Further, even a minimal 10% sell-on clause ... well, if he sells for £5M, that's £500,000 for us ... if he sells for £10M, that's a cool 1M! So, yeah, I'm always looking to get some future interest.
