Attacking width Vs. Approach play ?

I do not understand the difference here. Are they not basically the same thing? If you focus play through the middle, then my players will also stay more narrow?

focus play through the middle to my knowledge simply increases the mentality of the players in that area. it doesn't impact width.

Actually, no, it doesn't increase individual mentality anymore. But it does instruct lead them make more attacking runs through the middle of pass the ball there. So it's more of an indirect influence.

Yes, the so slightly do the same thing, ie Focus Play through middle will get the players to gravitate centrally to pass, but if you contrast them you can get interesting effects. For example FP through middle and Wide width means the the wide players will stay far apart, but all the central players will gravitate to the middle.
