Famalicao - Over achievers!

So from the title requires, I did well in my first season with Famalicao in Liga Nos. I finished 2nd and unlike the bigger leagues this really doesn't offer any financial benefits. No prize money for finishing 4pts behind Benfica.

 

Anyone familiar with the team will know they're a feeder club for the likes of Wolves, Atletico and Benfica, so first season they have 12 players on loan, and only 1 you can terminate iirc. So with that you have about 11 first team players. 

Now with a lot of these loanees there are optional transfer fee's in place but another issue is, the club has no money.

I did generate approx 9m from selling Riccieli to Burnley and Andrija Lukovic for 300k.

Considering there aren't really any loan restrictions for Portuguese clubs apart from only 1 loan per club in the division - I too went this way.

Here are my in's - with the permanent transfers coming in Jan after selling the aforementioned Riccielli.

So when all is said and done, and my loans all return I've got 12 players! For a champions league season!

I have got 4.1m to spend and 50k wages. In my saleable assets I've got Gustavo Assuncao who I love worth 10m, Ruben Lameiras worth 7m and Ahmedhodzic who wouldn't sign unless he had an 8m release clause in - reluctantly I gave it him but he's already worth 5.5m

I have looked at the expiring contracts but nothing of note. I am going to have to go for loans but any help would be appreciated. Going to be a struggle but long term I'm sticking with Famalicao until I become a Benfica or Porto myself, and considering my stadium is a 5305 capacity stadium I think I'm going to be here a while!

Did you ask to renogiate transfer cos whenever I do I usuually get a better deal for the player.

All an anti-climax as he didn't want to sign for Burnley - can't blame him really...

He had a minimum fee clause for 45m and that deal was 35m and 10m after 50 apps and a sell on, so i didn't mind that.

I don't know about loans but I've an idea of some cheap players who could fill out your squad and provide value. Take a look at poul kallsberg  and Adrian Justinussen from the Farao Isles as dirt cheap options. Also Tjaland, cousin of Erling is cheap. David Turnbull might be getable for you for little money too. Petteri Forsell might do a job. Ghaedi will be cheap if not already snapped up, as will Budgaard. Al-Soma will boss that league for you for a season or two and will be very cheap. 

 

If I were you I would be pissing off Gustavo and trying to get him to bail as that money will be transformational for you!

Thanks for the suggestions, always get Bundgaard and Tjaland in but I'll check those others out. I've really neglected this and I'm in my 3rd season. Won the league in the 2nd, Assuncao went in the 2nd season in Jan, again out of my hands and for a mere pittance to China for 35m in total. Nobody else wanted him at that point but as a DLP on Defend he has amazing stats. 

Arezo is leading the line and scoring well. Had to sell Diogo Queiros and even though I got 13m, he has a 50% sell on fee from the beginning which is ****!! Time to solidate and be the best in Portugal - my stadium is being expanded to now hold 7850.. onwards and upwards.
