scarp
Another World Review Premier League Man City with five titles followed by Liverpool with three and Tottenham & Chelsea with one. Man Utd did not get a single title. La Liga Atletico was the most accomplished team in Spain last ten years with five titles to their name. Only two teams outside of the trio of Atletico, Real Madrid & Barcelona made it into top three. Real Sociedad in 2031 finished third and Sevilla in 2036 also finished third. Serie A Eight titles for Internazionale and one for each Roman team. Bundesliga FC Bayern finished third last two seasons. Ligue 1 OL with six titles and PSG with four. Lately another two contenders emerged - Bordeaux and Olympique Marseille. Eredivisie PSV is back to the top after winning 2 titles although Feyenoord leads with four. Only three for Ajax and one for Alkmaar. Interesting third place finishers last two seasons - VVV Venlo & SC Cambuur. Czech First Division Slavia Prague & Slovácko both won one title after I left FC Baník Ostrava. After that Baník got back on the top and finished first twice in a row. Champions League Borussia Dortmund the only team to win more than once. Atletico Madrid made four finals and never won one. Europa League Nothing too surprising here. Europa Conference Slovácko won Europa Conference in 2033 and Plzeň finished second in 2035! World Cup Ivory Coast with a miracle run in 2038 only to be stopped by France. Noone stopped the Czech Republic miracle run earlier in 2034 though. scarp
Fifty-four years without a World Cup. Eight years without Copa America. Top players: Three of those I managed before & made them into top players.
scarp
September 2040 Decided to drop everyone who was older than 33 as I don't believe they could make it to the 2042 World Cup and instead decided to give chance to four youngsters. Matches: Great first game Many goals tonight in Urugay. I suppose we should have won but it's not a big deal. Great performance by our midfield but everyone else was lacking. We are missing a left winger aswell, noone is good enough in my opinion. Table: First dropped points against Uruguay
scarp
October 2040 Garayalde will be missed but we've got some decent back-up players. Also called up some more youngsters. Matches: We were the better team but just could not score. Also did not help that our captain got sent off in 33rd minute. Osorio played a great game and I will probably make him our starting CB. Aguirre & Gonzalez hold well since it was their first game for national team. Valentin Diaz also got his first minutes. Two goals by Aguirre won us the game. Paraguay did not have a single shot on target. Will try another left winger next month. Table: No surprises here.
scarp
November 2040 I decided to recall Aguerreche even though he's 33, he's still the best left wing in the country. Easy enough. We really need Rolon Martinez back on that ACM though. Another easy win. Raya really wants to be called again I guess. Well played. Carrillo did decent as ACM. Table:
scarp
March 2041 Usual nomination. We can do this! Another 4-0 victory with Garayalde scoring two. Perez scored on his first cap for the country. Embarassing. I was resting many key players but we should NEVER lose to Venezuela. Raya dropped the ball big time. scarp
September 2041 We only scored once against Ecuador which was frustrating although we had many chances. Vegetti & De la Iglesia played a great game. We are really struggling to score goals from many chances we create and at the same time we concede two goals from three overall shots Colombia had. scarp
October 2041 We are not missing any key players for a game against Brazil. We played really well defensively and did not let Brazil create any chances. Well done from everyone except De la Iglesia. Not exactly the 1000th game I imagined. Terrible performance. scarp
Friendlies Great performance by De Vito and Leandro. They really asked for starting positions. We really struggle to score from all the chances we create and then we concede from the very few our opponents get. I think Bologna will be our number one goalie during World Cup. scarp
Group Stage One day before th first game I decided to change the tactic and went back to the original 4-4-2 I played with Borussia Dortmund in my first season. It went well and I will most likely continue using this tactic. The reason for the switch was that Rolon Martinez was not as good on ACM position as I want my ACM to be in such situations. Was also thinking about going back to 4-3-3 but since we have two decent strikers I decided to go with this. Well this was rather easy This is interesting since we haven't won the World Cup for 56 years. Table: Next round: We should beat them easily.
scarp
Second Round Garayalde is on fire! De la Iglesia played fantastic game with one goal and two assists aswell. Spain is a great team but their defense is not the strongest. They tend to score many many goals though. Their best player is probably my ex-player Garcia Miguel followed by Dortmund's Tomas Ibanez & Barcelona's Ivan.
scarp
Third Round I made few changes before this game, Gonzalez was suspended so I had to play Mac Allister on left (as I wanted to keep De la Iglesia on the wing). Mac Allister did not play the best game as we conceded after his mistake. The other change I made was to drop De Vito for Soto. Soto is a great leader and he played together with Ferrero for Dortmund under my managment and I decided he will be the better choice in this important game. Teo Carrillo played a spectacular game as he scored a goal and earned a penalty from which Garayalde sent us to quarterfinals. Italy are also a strong opponent but they did not play a good team yet this tournament. They have a strong defense but seem to struggle to score goals. Their best playes is Tommaso Romano, strong Pirlo-esque midfielder from PSG followed by Liverpool's Matteo Giorgi and Davide Romani from Man City.
scarp
Quarterfinals I made few changes for this make, most importantly I changed both our wings to give them some rest for potential semifinals. Barragán & Raya played well as we did not let Italy do anything and Aguirre scored a winner for us. Shots were 19-3. De Vito also returned to starting lineup and played fantastic. Germany are probably the biggest favourites to win the whole thing with the world's best player in René Friedl. Good thing for us is that they are yet to play a really strong side this tournament. Their best player is the Balloon d' Or winner René Friedl followed by Ardijan Shaqiri from Man City & Dortmund's Patrick Heiserholt.
scarp
Semifinals I swapped back to 4-2-3-1 as Garayalde needed a rest. So did our best player Vegetti so I was a little bit worried but our defense just played so well and did not let Germany do anything. Ferrero with a massive performance to pocket FC Bayern's Schultz. Teo Carrillo found Rodriguez with a great pass in 74th minute and Rodriguez sent us to the finals! Especially tough opponent considering the World Cup is hosted in Portugal. But once more when we look at their games played, they did not really play against great team either. Colombia in quarterfinals and Russia in semifinals.. It really looks like we've got the toughest match-ups every round Hard to say who is their best player because both Miguel Carvalho & Miguel Nobre are kind of on the same level. Add Arnaldo Melim and you've got a fantastic midfield.
scarp
World Cup Final 13. 7. 2042 15:00 Estadio da Luiz, Lisbon I actually made quite a lot of changes going into the final, swapped both wings again and let Raya & Barragán play, meaning we would play more defensively. Soto made his way intot he starting lineup for second time aswell and so did Mac Allister, replacing Leandro. We played a great football and never really let Portugal do anything with an exception of the penalty that Romero caught anyway. After 56 years we've done what Messi could not. scarp
FC Baník Ostrava Champions League Winners - Where Are They Now? Juan Pinzón joined Bordeaux for a fee of 10mil in 2036. He helped the french team to two top six finishes. In summer 2038 he was bought by Sevilla for 10mil. He was their number one keeper for one season and helped them secure fourth place finish. Since then he was demoted to number two goalie and won Europa League in 2040 although he did not play a single game in EL. For season 2041/42 he was bought by Zebre for 10mil and surprisingly became their number one choice, helping them to secure 4th place finish. He's only had five appearances for Colombian national team. Adoniz Schultz was bought by barcelona for 21.5mil and ever since then he's been their starting right back. He helped them to win Copa del Rey for four times and La Liga for two times. In 2040 he was inducted into Barcelona Overall Best Eleven just after four season with the club. He's currently 29 years old and last season he was named the best right back in La Liga. He has 106 appearances for Chile national team in which he scored seven goals and became their team captain in 2042. Carlos Roberto left for Arsenal early in summer 2036. He quickly became their starting CB and helped them to secure Europa Conference in 2039. Arsenal were kind of struggling even with Carlos as they finished 7th three times before finishing 12th in 2040/41. That must have been it for Carlos Roberto as he asked for a transfer and was bought by Man City for 70mil. He won Premier League & Fa Cup in first season with the team and was named in Premier League team of the season. With Brazil Carlos achieved a bit more, he's played in 58 matches and won Copa America in 2040 as well as Olympics with u23 team in 2036. Tomás Beloqui, naturalized Czech national team player, joined Everton for the fee of 3mil in 2036 but only played 11 games for the team before joining Fulham for 9mil next season. He's played only around 30 games for Fulham during two seasons he's played there and won Europa League before coming back to Czech Republic's Slovacko in 2039. One season was enough there and he joined Al-Wahda in 2040 - played two seasons there before coming back to Europe to join Rosenborg for free. He has 33 caps for Czech national team. Sebastián Ballester joined Manchester United for 20mil in 2036 and even though he only made eleven appearances there, he could lift the 2037 Champions League trophy with the team. After that season he joined Bournemouth for 12mil and played two full seasons there before eventually joining Bordeaux for 17mil. He did not play there long as he left back for Premier League's Wolves after not very succesful first and only season in Bordeaux. He played 35 games for Wolves before finally retiring in 2042 at the age of 34. He played 78 games for Argentina and scored one goal. Adriano joined Liverpool for 21mil and became stable player for them on the edge of starting lineup & bench. So far in the six seasons at the club he played in 97 games for Liverpool and helped them win Premier League & FA Cup twice. He is also a vital member of Brazil national team, played 42 games for them and won Copa America in 2040. Martin Kcira answered the money call and left for SIPG for 27mil. His biggest achievement with the team was 2nd place in Asian Champions League in 2040. Although playing in China, he's became croatian national team captain and currently has 99 caps for the team. Lukáš Rusnák joined Bordeaux for 23mil where he played one and half season before FC Bayern bought him for 90mil in winter 2038. He quickly became one of the best Bayern's players but so far haven't won anything because of the Borussia Dortmund reign. He was voted POTY in every season after joining Bayern. For Czech national team he played in 79 games and scored 18 goals. Niko Polovanec quickly became one of the world's best players after joining Man City for 40mil. So far he played in 192 games and scored 85 goals for them. He won Premier League four times, Carabao Cup four times and FA Cup two times with them. He was even vote Footballer of the Year in 2036 but he's never won Balloon d' Or yet. For Croatia he has 114 appareances in which he scored 51 goals. Rudiero Bachi joined Monaco for 6mil and played four good season with them before joining Lille on free in 2040. In Lille he started to struggle with his knees and left for Young Boys only after one season. His injury list keeps growing as he played just 2 games for the Switzerland team last season. He has 35 caps for Czech national team and five goals scored. Branko Levicanin played three more season for Banik Ostrava, finally finishing with 402 games and 244 goals scored. Biggest club legend ever. Last two season of his career he played for Olympiakos in Greece. Nicolas Vacek joined České Budějovice and played around 10th place with the team for next four seasons before leaving for Jihlava to play in Czech Second Division. After that he retired and became assistant manager in Viktoria Plzeň. Jiří Křeček stayed with Baník Ostrava for next four seasons and helped them win First Division in 2039 & 2040. After that last title he was bought by Slovácko for almost 4mil and he became their starting CB, helping them to finish 2nd in 2041/42. Ivan Perič also stayed with the team until 2040 when he joined Dynamo Kyiv for free. Ricardo Inostroza joined Premier League’s Crystal Palace for 10mil and played two seasons there before Boca Juniors paid 30mil for him and made him their most expensive player ever. With Boca Juniors he won Copa Libertadores in 2039 and in 2041 he left for Qatar’s Al Duhail for 1mil. He has 14 appearances for Argentina. Matija Krnjič joined FC Bayern for 12mil in winter 2037 and helped them secure the title in that year. Since then they have not won anything but Krnjič became one of the best players in Bundesliga. For Croatian national team he has 103 caps and 11 goals. Adolpho joined Borussia Dortmund for 18mil and quickly became one of their best players, helping them to win Champions League three times and Bundesliga five times. Only 13 caps for Brazil though. Celso Luiz joined FC Bayern for 32mil but could not make it into the starting lineup so he decided to leave for Man City in 2038. Struggled with the same issues and eventually he left for Guangzhou in 2041, where he is finally a starting player.

scarp
June 2043 Good performance by everyone except Perez & Garayalde. scarp
Copa America Group Stage Decent start for us, we could score some more but our striker did not have their shooting boots on. This is very impressive! Still no goal for either of our starting strikers but we are doing fine. Goals galore! Three games, three wins. This is bad as we do not have much quality on the left wing. Garayalde is really struggling at the moment, he even missed a penalty this game. Compulsory victory for us. Table: Paraguay actually finished 1st in their respective group. They are playing quite well and only lost to Brazil. Their best players are Fernando Ortiz (Man Utd), José Escobar (Lazio) and Anibal Acosta (Monaco). scarp
Quarterfinals Thankfully we had almost ten days to rest so our players were fresh for the task. We beat Paraguay pretty easily and even Garayalde got a goal! Ciarniello & Vegetti dominated the midfield so hard. The final a bit earlier than I'd like but hopefully we can beat them. They are not playing very well in this tournament and they lost to Peru & Ecuador. They're the hosting country though so anything can happen. Their strength lies mostly in defense and midfield at the moment, their best player is Adolpho (Dortmund), followed by Glauber (Gladbach) & Carlos Roberto (Man City). scarp
Semifinals Way easier than I thought it would be, Brazil are nowhere near us at the moment. Barth had to step in for Vegetti and he did fantastic, same with Perez who played instead of De la Iglesia. Colombia is currently in a very good form so I expetc a tough game.
