November proved to be a pretty fruitful month for us as we achieved three victories, we did lose at home for the first time against Werder Bremen by 1-0, with VAR confirming the goal. But still very happy with performances as we continue to overperform.

Six points clear but with much of the league still to play their 13 fixtures of the season.

We come to winter break with a final four fixtures, which again we manage very well. There seems to be a lasting confidence in the team as we continue this run to Christmas, the question is will we be able to continue it beyond. The Nurnberg game was disappointing in that we led 2-0, and in the final few minutes we allowed them to score three times. In the end we came back in injury time to draw, but a warning to us really against complacency.

We are still top of the league now three points clear of Borussia Dortmund. Bayern are still to play and can leapfrog RB Leipzig with a win over Koln, in the final German fixture before the Bundesliga closes for Christmas.

We let another elder statesman of the dressing room in Hans Heussner leave for approximately £8m to Bayer Leverkusen. He wanted to leave as he felt he had achieved all he could with the club and wanted a new challenge, which I don't really mind to help out with in his case.

January sees us face two friendlies for the winter break and then quite a first game as we face a top of the table clash against Dortmund and come through rather easily, we also squeak by Frankfurt to maintain an unbeaten month.

9 points clear having played 1 more game than the chasing pack.

It was always going to be a tough February with a road trip to Munich to finish the month, and we lost there, but elsewhere we have performed well. The Hertha result was a little disappointing but I need to keep reminding myself that we are really overperforming this season. Even so we are doing great.

It can't really be denied no longer it would certainly look like with 10 games of the season to go we are in a title race.

Well it's been another tough month. We are out the cup thanks to Bayern and the loss to Hamburg in the league has really been a set back to us. I think we are beginning to feel the pressure now.

We can afford no more mistakes in the league, there are 7 games to go and Dortmund are right on our tail.

April saw us lose to Werder Bremen, but the chasing have not been perfect, so it was important that we win our other games. The tough tie to Borrusia Monchengladbach was a key game and we came through that with a very professional performance. Injuries are also piling up, so we are just looking to get to the end of the season now, and if we get three more wins, we can assure ourselves of the Bundesliga title.

Dortmund also lost a game in the chase so they remain breathing down our necks. Three games to go, three games away from history. Can we hold out!?

Match point Wolfsburg. We take down already relegate Hoffenheim 4-0, to put us one way away from the title.

Jitters for Dortmund as they almost throw away a 3-0 lead and probably the title, but they hang on to make this go well truly down to the final day.

The league table, and goal difference seperate us and Dortmund it will all be decided on the final day of the season. We play Ingolstadt on the final day so are feeling like we should now go on to do this. Dortmund are at home to Mainz, so I have to assume they are going to take 3 points in that game. We can afford absolutely nothing but a win from this final game now.

There were nerves, especially at 1-1, but in the end we win the Bundesliga in style with a 4-1 win against Ingolstadt.

Dortmund got their job done, but our win means it matters for nothing. Very tough to take for them I am sure, but we don't care!

The league table shows how close it was in the end as we win the title on the final day on goal difference.

39 years since Wolfsburg won their one and only Bundesliga title and we have been able to take them back to summit of German football in our first season at the club! Very unexpected, but a great achievement!

Air miles time

We won 28 games last season.

The equation is as follows:-

3 x 6.39 x 2 x 1 = 38.37 air miles per win = 1,074.30 for the season, added to the 1,020.67 we already had means that we now have 2,094.97 air miles in the kitty.

The range map now looks like this.

48929f78ff2017c157c8a17425279555.png

All of Europe is now covered, I don't think we really need to change our leagues this time around as we already have most of the main leagues loaded.

Can't wait for you to earn enough air miles to takeover Musk Town Martians FC.

So I win about on average 1,000 miles a year so to cover the 33.9 million miles would looks likely in around July of the 36,000 or so.

New signing Pelayo scored the winning penalty as we took down Bayern Munich in the Super Cup to win out first silverware of the season. We scored very late in this game to even take it beyond the 90 mins, so very happy for the boys that we have picked up another piece of silverware in the first fixtures of the season.

It really has been a torrid month, with the main positive being a surprising win against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. But we are really out of form. The Champions League is now looking really difficult.

We sit in 6th place, 5 points behind Borrusia Monchengladbach.

After a very difficult start, we have improved immeasurably as we go perfect all month.

5a55e58d535c515adcc6c6350cb924ac.png

We have now risen to the top of the league again after ten fixtures.

Champions League progression is looking very problematic now, and probably requires a win in Roma and at home to Chelsea to really have any chance.
