The season kicks off in earnest and it has been an interesting start. We started the Champions League in the perfect way as we beat Port in Thailand. Then of course we won the Super Cup to give us our first silverware. I was quite worried by our opening league game as we drew away at Sagan Tosu, but that was completely forgetten when we showed up to play Urawa in the league and ripped them to shreds as we ran out 6-0 winners away to one of our main title rivals.

The early league table doesn't tell us much as we top it, but there are plenty of teams that have yet to play their second game, however Kashima have not won yet, managing only two draws and thanks to us Urawa only have a draw from two games, which already puts us ahead in what I am sure will be a tough title race.

Another month is in the books as we compete on all fronts. We have been in good form this month, however the loss against Yokohama F Marinos was humbling. They seem to have the hoodoo on us ever since I have been at the club and they once again beat us resoundingly 3-0. However we been able to win the majority of our games and look good in all competitions at the moment.

Gamba Osaka have started the season very well and top the table, we are third which is fine for now. Urawa and Kashima have had a sluggish start however the table is still tight and Urawa are one win away from our position so despite them being 10th and 11th respectively I would not expect the table to look the same next month.

A very good month for us as we put the Nabisco Cup and Champions League groups to be to qualify out of them and good form in the league, the only sore point was the loss away to Vissel Kobe. We sometimes go throgh 3 or 4 game patches where we struggle to score and in the game against Vissel it cost as they got a late winner.

The league is opening up a bit and we sit third. Sagan top the table but have played two more games so expect them to tumble down the table. Kashima are right back with us and Urawa are also not far behind either, we need to keep our wits about us now.

We complete another month and we have been good again, we show no sign of losing confidence. This month we qualified out of our Nabisco Cuo group and got through the Second Round of the Champions League against Beijing. We did find a loss against Kashima, who appear to be in incredible form again, just like last year, let's hope they have another wobble just like year towards the end of the season.

We sit 6th, but with games in hand on all those around is. kashima are 8 points ahead of us, having played one more game. Urawa at least so far do no appear anywhere near the pace.

We are still in good form as we stay undefeated throughout.

There is a familiar look to the top of the table as Kashima and Urawa go to the summit. We have a game in hand and are only one point which if we win will mean we go top of the league

Nabisco Cup Quarter Final first leg and it is advantage to us as we go to Saitama and take away a precious 1-0 win. We were reasonably lucky to come away with the win, but were defensively solid and if you don't concede there is always a chance you might score, and Nishimura did so.

We bring in a centre back of real quality in South Korean Yoo Hyun-Min from Oita Trinita for £875k. He is a similar age to the deperting Rodolfo Mizolli but he is still at a top level and will bring increase competition into a very rugged defense already.

We are getting toward the business end of the season and our form continues to be great. It is being mostly built on defensive solidity with 5 clean sheets out of 10, but there are a couple of results that I was not best pleased with, especially Consadole at home where we only managed a 1-1 draw, and they are well down the league having been promoted last season.

It is already shaping up to be a dogfight for the league title with ourselves, Kashima and Urawa within a point of each other. Our goal difference is way ahead of the others so if it comes down to that we should have the advantage. With 7 games to go of the league season the title can still go to any of us.

That Quadruple season was quite the turnaround! Surely Russia is next?

Yeah pretty surprised about then turnaround that season. Russia is probably the most likely I would say, but a lot of the big teams are in the West so still outside our range at the moment.

The title race is coming up and the update for the end of the month is coming however as you can see the run involves us against Kashima which is probably the big game, as things stands Kashima are the ones chasing and would need to win that game potentially to catch up. Urawa are further behind but have a pretty nice run in apart from the Yokoham F Marinos game which will be a tough game. Kashima also have to go to Kawasaki Frontale for the final game of the season. We should be favourites at this stage of the season for the title.

In the end the title race was nothing like the drama of last year as both Urawa and Kashima messed up and then when we beat Kashima at home we had won the title in the best possible way at home to our rivals. There are still two J-League games to go, so it was a lot more comfortable this year.

It's been a great month. We did go out of the Champions League but without losing a game of football in the month. We bagged the Nabisco Cup and the league this month, so overall I am pretty happy as we have already completed a treble if you count the super cup.

The league table with a game to go, there is pretty much nothing to play apart from who will get the 2nd automatic Champions league qualification spot, that does not require playoffs.
