mhaffy Posted November 20, 2018 Share Posted November 20, 2018 Just seeking some clarification on the Creative Freedom tactical choice options of Be More Expressive/Be more Disciplined versus the individual player instructions of Take more risks/Take fewer risks. If you chose Be More Disciplined to reduce the creative freedom of your team would the effect be similar to setting individual players to Take fewer risks? Similar would setting individual player instructions to Take more risks have a similar effect to choosing Be more expressive as part of the team tactic? No take more risks / take less risks is more about whether players attempt through balls or not. Be more disciplined / be more expressive is how much freedom they have to ignore your instructions, and decide on their own what to do with the ball. I thought that might be the case, but wouldn't using Be more Expressive actually increase liklihood of a player attempting a through ball and Be more disciplined reduce attempted through balls? A bit, but I think it more limits the players who would do through balls and over the top balls. Be more Expressive or disciplined is about freedom outside of their assigned roles. If your assigned a role that has already try more risky passes enabled, it shouldn't have much effect on the amount of through balls, whether you chose Expressive or disciplined.
