We did it, it came down to having to beat last years winners Brijeg in the last game of the season to clinch the title. It was Marinkovic who came up trumps with a 70 minute goal in a 1-0 win.

In the red at the minute but will have sponsorship money to come in and we have qualified for the Champions League this season from winning the league.

Champions Leauge 1st Qualifying Round

I expected a little more than a 1-0 home win but the clean sheet was important, away from home we knew we had to score, luckily we did that twice to win the tie on away goals.

I knew before the first leg was played who we would be playing, either Europa of Gibralter or Levski from Bulgaria, the latter it is.

Champions League 2nd Qualifying Round

We drew home and away with Levski but it was Levski who went through on away goals having scored three in the first leg in Bosnia. Our European adventure continues as we now enter the Europa League at the 3rd Qualifying Round. And we draw....

Qarabag again, after we beat them in the CL they dropped into the EL themselves then beating B36 from the Faroes in the 2nd Qualifying Round.

International Call-Ups

363148536_SeniorInternationalCall-Up.thumb.PNG.8e828dff9fc834d5aa6dcbe57ff3a65c.PNG

I hadn't been taking too much notice of the international call-ups but we've had one of our youth products get his first senior call-up with Bosnia. Marinkovic the player in question has 10 goals in 12 games this season so far. He is only one of two out and out strikers to be called up so he has a chance for a spot on the bench.

Europa League 4th Qualifying Round

Wow! Marinkovic celebrated his international call up in style with a hat-trick to send us through 7-5 on aggregate. Babic and Urosevic scored the others to make it a clean sweep of YPs send us through.

This will keep us going for a season or two with a few upgrades thrown in.

The board love me and I love my board

Asked for all three and all three were agreed. That means JC is excellent, YR is extensive and the youth facilities will be Superb or State of Art. We just need to be in the group stages this time next season to recoup some of the money.

Awesome progress so far! I love these kind of careers.

Your youth intakes have a worrying lack of good wide players, have you tried various HoYDs? Try using one with a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 as a favourite formation, maybe that can help.

Thanks.

Really struggling with finding decent HoYDs at the minute. Maybe now I'm in the EL group stages I may be able to attract better quality staff. I've had 4 HoYDs over the course of the save with one coming here twice.

At the minute I have Dzenan Kos who has a preferred formation of 4-1-3-2 DM Narrow, he's only here for the season so will see if he brings any wide players in. He has 10 for JPA and 15 for JPP so thats much better than anything before him, he only has a Balanced personality too so that could be drastically improved.

I think I read somewhere that the HOYD only has a hand in about 5-6 players of the entire youth intake, which means you won't have a full intake matching his personality, but it's still a reasonable number.

Makes sense, I've some really poor personalities through the ranks in this save. This is my HoYD below, as you can and I said before he has decent JPA/JPP for this level but poor WWY/Personalitiy.

Here's a list of interested HoYDs

I would probably choose to sign the only employed one in that list if I was going to.

Europa League Group Stage

Pretty happy with this set of results, honestly I expected nothing from any of the games but to draw the first two was great. We weren't even that outclassed by Milan home or away but to then actually pick up a win was fantastic. By the last game we were really struggling with fitness and injuries.

936432529_ELGroupC.thumb.PNG.4be3b3e681b6ce4df019adaa7541c41d.PNG

A very respectable five points from in our first group stage venture. We picked up around another 500k in prize money to bolster the finances even more.

2024 Youth Intake

Intake1.thumb.PNG.4341c94c8bf38eefbbc79c81aadd0996.PNG

A 'golden generation'

Intake2.thumb.PNG.57025f68a42a2a7909ea8b2024d17a96.PNG

OK, not bad but a golden generation with no 5* PA player? I'll take four 4.5* but disappointing. Two wide players which are very much neeeded, a RB who's actually trash and a semi-decent DM. Six unambitious players, one unsporting, one temperamental and one casual, not a great bunch of personalities overall but a improvement of determination and leadership.

Randjelovic.thumb.PNG.f40e38823ff7d4fc1ff861e29389cb3f.PNG

Best of the bunch, a ML who I will retrain to AML, he already has some ability there. Good acceleration and pace with good crossing.

Jeremic.thumb.PNG.f4d2de7b5dd006c3b40fb32d60d100a4.PNG

An AMR with poorer physicals, coupled with a poor personality, low determination and some poor technical's.

Doric.thumb.PNG.4eca32d59849ee1743f08a7b3165d0c8.PNG

The unconvincing DM, natural in the position but is undecided what he is. A casual chap with low determination doesn't give me much hope. Has decent passing and tackling to work with.

Bosnian Premier League - 2023/24

Keeping it brief again...

League.thumb.PNG.377e8c01b2f73be93a4ead0c48e4ebaa.PNG

Winners on the last day of the season, we had struggled prior to the league split due to Europe, we played catch up in the split beating Sarajevo away first and at home on the last day to clinch the title.

Squad.thumb.PNG.cdcb58245e55356cd5f875c681ef78b6.PNGBabic.thumb.PNG.16b29ed9b9fc2096742d7b646126a425.PNG

Marinkovic scored 27 goals for the season but he's leaving at the end of his contract. Babic was the other key player, he also scored 27 but in less games. A few more younger players will be introduced to the squad for next season.

We got another £3m in TV revenue from the Europa League. The board just announced the Youth Facilities upgrade costing £1.5m too.
