Spurs08
Right now, if there is any variation at all on this, it's extremely rare. For a double yellow sending off, players will always accept a warning and not accept a fine. Similarly they will accept up to a one-week fine, I believe, for most red cards, and two weeks for violent conduct. It appears as though the circumstances in question and the player's personality play no part. It isn't right that a model professional who got stupidly sent off in a crucial league match for diving twice reacts just as badly to being fined as a troublemaker who got sent off in an end-of-season dead rubber due to an error from the referee.
