Question about squad size again is annoying it's 23 players and only 24 if you include Flanagan who I have left in the reserve squad for now,

It would be smaller if I hadn't decided to offer long term contracts to the youth players anyway so it is hardly a big squad.

That South African kid looks a bit of a cracker.

Yeah so it's no surprise he has been getting plenty of game time, he can cover quite a few positions so that helps us a lot.

b04acQX.jpg

kL5EEt1.jpg

Those other youth players might not look great but the GK Flanagan was needed due to injuries last season and the others well the squad needed them as it isn't/wasn't big despite what the stupid media think, plus they are still much better than what I have had most other seasons anyway.

it can only be described as a game of two halves.

That didn't go well, we had an early goal disallowed for offside, it looked really close though in the replay.

We then conceded a silly penalty and Stopsley Utd were in control after that and proved too good on the day.

We finished the season in 4th place, couldn't catch up with the teams above mainly because we only won 1 of our

last 9 games, lost 3 on the bounce before that win then drew our last 5 games including 3 0-0 scorelines in a row.

So we were in the Play-Offs again and we faced Watford in the Semi-Finals.

3QlweGS.jpg

We let a 2 goal lead slip to draw yet again.

YfGqnVX.jpg

A goal fest, it was thrilling but frustrating at the same time as we triumph 9-6 on aggregate.

We now have another trip to Wembley where we will face Exeter.

Shame about the cup, but excellent overall!

Thanks, yeah it was a shame about the cup but hey it was Stopsley though so don't mind losing to them so much, well for now anyway.

great story I'm loving this as I am a spurs man aswell

ill be following to see about the next season :)

Thanks, glad you are enjoying this, I'm expecting a tough season but hopefully now the crowds should increase and we need them too as they haven't been anywhere near high enough for most games so far considering we can hold 56k.

We needed a new Director of Football.

Here he is.................

5oBlcuT.jpg

Hull City's bid for Gerard Rodriguez was accepted, Ideally I would have loved to keep him.

He had a release clause of £17m anyway so even if we had turned it down there were other clubs willing to match it.

The results this month were...........

u9Oab7g.jpg

Full match overviews are > Here <

It was a tough start and in truth the result at Anfield looks closer than it really was.

The stats against Man City make it look pretty even but again they were just too good for us.

A cup game against Bradford gave us the chance to grab a first win and it was a comfortable game.

It was a tight match against Stoke and the early penalty proved enough for our first Premier League win.

We sign another player from my Stopsley days.................

0E2qPiV.jpg

And he will make his debut against his former club.

ndipHKo.jpg

FBH1hkF.jpg

We took the lead against Leicester but it didn't last very long, we need to be winning games like this though so

will need to improve. Our next game was former club Stopsley Utd and new signing Richard Knox made his debut.

We were very much second best in this game so to hold out for a point is very pleasing and we could have even nicked it.

Ipswich were next up in the cup and we cameback from an early goal to progress thanks to a double from Ricky Stone.

Finally this month we faced Hull City and former player Gerard Rodriguez, Rodriguez gave them the lead but we battled

back with a goal from Cesar Díez earning us a point.

5 out of 5 for Tottenham!

First up this month was Huddersfield and a superb display in the first half saw us secure a comfortable win.

We followed that up with another fine home display against Brighton and a quick fire double saw us record a 2-0 win.

Derby proved a lot tougher and we conceded an early goal, Diez levelled 20 minutes later and we snatched a late winner.

We then dominated the cup game against QPR, at 2-0 we were coasting through and should have had more goals,

QPR pulled a goal back on 64 minutes then drew level 14 minutes later, so a game we should have won easily was now

going into extra-time, thankfully though Pérez saved us from the spot-kicks with a very late strike to put us through.

The final game of October saw us face a trip to Ipswich, it didn't look good when Ipswich went ahead on 12 minutes.

Jones levelled for us just before half time and then an impressive performance in the second half saw us take all 3pts.

We have now moved up to 6th, too early to get carried away with our position though, anyway very pleased so far.

Derby Day Blues for Spurs!

So after the great result against the champions the rest of the month didn't go very well.

In fact it couldn't have gone much worse, 2 silly errors cost us dearly against Arsenal and then it got

worse against Chelsea, we managed to snatch a goal against the run of play but they took control

after they drew level and in the end the final whistle couldn't come soon enough, as you can imagine

I am far from happy with our performances, hopefully it is just a blip even though we are playing teams

that are stronger than us currently I still expect better, we have another derby game next as we face West Ham.

A Frustrating Month!

Overall it was a good month but some results were frustrating, we started with a comfortable home win

over West Ham and then followed that with a narrow win against Sheffield Utd. We suffered a late defeat

against Aston Villa that was annoying but the defeat that followed against Sheff Wed in the cup was even more so,

I rotated the team a bit but still expected us to get through, the players just didn't perform on the day.

We bounced back from the cup upset to beat Millwall but only after going a goal down early in the match.

Then we had a run of 3 home games and these games proved to be really frustrating, not easy opponents

but we need to be picking up the wins at home in these types of games but we are still way above expectations.

Shockers Against Stoke & Hull!

It was a good month apart from those two results, we fought back from 2-0 down against Man City.

We progressed in the FA Cup with two impressive displays against West Brom & West Ham, in the league

we beat Stopsley Utd though you could say we made hard work of it as we dominated the game.

Out of the cup in lacklustre month!

This month was rather poor for our fans to watch, we didn't play as well as we have been so far this season.

I knew Brentford would be tough in the cup and Brighton gave me problems when I was Stopsley Utd manager.

We did manage to pick up a couple of 1-0 wins, one of those wins came in the game that was chosen as a fan day.

The performance did very liitle to win over any new fans though and we were very fortunate to get the 3 points.

Poor Away Days Spoil Month!

It wasn't a bad month but it could have been far better as the results against Sheff Utd and Leeds Utd were disappointing. We came out

on top in thrillers against West Ham & Aston Villa, thrillers for the fans anyway as I was happy with some things. We finished the month with

a narrow win at home against Millwall, we will face Brentford away in our final game with slim hopes of a top 4 finish, but it will be tough.

Think I will have to, not really ready to give up Spurs but really want to manage England for a bit, the other option is create another manager to take over England now that I have been offered it.

It was just a complete nightmare in the PL, I tried different tactics but we were awful and at times

we were quite baffling, we battered Arsenal 4-0 but instead of that sparking us into some sort of life

we then slipped to relegation in quite dismal fashion, despite our awful domestic displays

we did very well in Europe and made it all the way to the semi-finals in the Europa League.

We led 2-1 after the first leg but then this happened...................................
